Chapter 803 Assasination

Chapter 803 Assasination

”Damn that b*stard! I will kill him one day for sure..” Travis gritted his teeth in anger as he looked at the mirror in the washroom. Max had really been getting onto his nerves lately, but there was nothing he could do.

Even now, he was sure that Max had deliberately knocked down the glass of wine on him, but what could he possibly say to him even when the guy showed an obvious smirk on his face. After all, Synthia was taking his side.

”F*ck!” Travis cursed as he almost broke the mirror, but knowing the situation they were in, he controlled himself. Creating trouble right now, would do him no good. On the other hand, it would only make his mother more disappointed in him.

At this moment, the door to the washroom opened, and a person in a waiter’s uniform walked in.

”Take this..and where is the change of cloth that I asked for?” Travis took out his outerwear, and threw it towards the person.

”Swish!”

Out of nowhere, a blade pierced through the blazer, and came straight towards Travis. There was no use of mana around it, it was obvious that the person had used pure force to achieve his action.

Travis was definitely caught in surprise, but unlike Axel he wasn’t afraid to use his mana around. His body immediately burst forth with mana, and he immediately tried to pull behind. But, only two steps, and his back hit the basin behind.

He might be the son of the Scarlet Lord, but he had always been raised in his mother’s care, there was no way that he had any kind of combat awareness.

”S-Stop!!” Travis was horrified, and yelled at the enemy. But, there was no way that something like that was going to work. The blade moving towards him shone with a strange black light as small formations lit up on it, and in front Travis’s frightful eyes, it tore through his mana barrier.

”Stop!!” At this moment, a roar rang across the entire floor. It was obvious that they had been caught. Immediately, several powerful auras rushed into action.

Axel immediately felt as if a huge mountain had come crashing on him. Blood immediately surgure out of his mouth and nose as he felt his internal organs shake.

Travis definitely felt relief wash his back when he saw this scene, and his next reaction was immediately that of rage. He couldn’t believe that someone had tried to assassinate him and that too in his very own territory.

”You f*cking b*strard!! You dare!!” He clenched his fist, and threw it at Axel.

Axel’s lips curled up into a smile seeing Travis’s action. He thought that he would have to run now, with a total failure, but who would have thought that Travis would present him with another chance.

”What are you doing?!!” The voice was enraged at Travis. He couldn’t believe that the kid was a fool.

This man who had interfered was a Supreme, and it was a Supreme who resided in the Noble’s Palace. He was the one who had been assigned here by the power behind this institution. And, it was his task, to prevent any mishaps from happening.

As for Travis’s own guard, they were already rushing here. Their presence might have been strong, but they were not strong enough to restrain Axel from a distance.

”Fool..” Axel smiled as he slightly tilted his body, and then with a sharp swing of his hand, he tore through Travis’s mana barrier, leaving a huge wound on his body.

”Aaahhh!!!”

A terrifying scream was heard throughout the place, and it sounded as if a pig was being slaughtered.

”Die!!!”

Before Axel could make another move, and seal Travis’s fate, the walls of the washroom immediately busted as two figures came flying in. They were Travis’s guard. Both of them were half way into Grandmaster Tier. It wasn’t someone whom Axel could deal with. Even Max might not have any chance but to escape in such a situation.

Seeing the guard rushing towards him, Axel immediately retreated leaving Travis alone.

One of the guards immediately took over Travis, trying to check his condition, while others rushed at Axel while brandishing a sword at him.

Axel’s eyes immediately constricted as he felt an intense sense of danger. He knew that if he didn’t use his trump cards, only death would await him.

He immediately pulled out a shield from his storage device, and from the looks of it, it was 5* equipment.

The man on other hand sneered at Axel’s futile attempts. He knew that a 5* equipment was nothing to him. He could turn into dust in a single strike. It was as easy as that.

But, the smile on the man’s face slowly vanished when he saw Axel pour his mana into the shield, and a formation slowly lighting up on it. Initially, he was still confident in his ability to smash through it, but when the 7th ring appeared in the formation, his face had turned grim.

How could he have known that the brat would have an equipment with a 7* formation, and from the looks of it, was very closed to an 8* as there were slight signs of an 8th ring appearing.

The Value of such an equipment was not at 5* at all. It could be placed at the same level as a peak 6* or low 7* category. After all, even if the formation could withstand an attack of a peak Master Tier mage.

”Clang!”

The sword finally clashed against the shield, and an explosion resounded as Axel flew through the air while breaking through the walls on the floor. The shield in his hand immediately cracked, and it was very obvious that it wouldn’t be of another use. But, this was already the best that the shield could do.

After all, the shield was made with materials of 5* equipment. Hence, it was a miracle for it to have withstand a blow from a Master Tier mage. Expecting any more from it would be too much.
