The Ancient Genes

Chapter 591 - Max Being A Bully(2)

"Me? I am an ordinary guy?" Max said with a smile.

His attitude immediately left Omen, and a few people gnashing their teeth in anger.

After all, with his attitude like that, what could they possibly do? If he didn't say how he was related to the Ancient Family, they could only make assumptions.

And, the fact that he was able to sit with those people beside him automatically led one's imagination to fly. He had to be someone important.

"Do you have any problem with me being ordinary?" Max asked, looking at the guy.

"..." .

Omen didn't say anything, but his face had turned nasty.

"Is this guy deaf?" Max asked, looking at Roman.

"Cough!"

"Cough!"

"My apologies, why don't you speak Omen?" Roman asked, looking at him. Even though he had barely suppressed his laughter with the coughs, Melinda could still see his lips curling up.

It was clear that he was losing himself in the fun.

In the end, Melinda nudged him below the table, and made him realize it.

"Uhm..I think we should go on to the main topic here." Roman immediately switched the topic. "We have agreed to the suggestions, provided by these gentlemen here. So, let's do the final take here on the decision."

"Does anyone have a problem here?"

The people looked around at each other, but no one raised their hand.

Omen was really gritting his teeth hard.

"Can you people please change your decision?" He looked at them, and asked. "It is not easy to forget this hatred so easily. I can't forget my comrades' death this easily."

Everybody's gaze shifted onto Max and the group. They were waiting to see if anything was going to happen here.

"Sigh!" Max released a heavy sigh, and shook his head, "Fine then.."

His words immediately made some people smile in joy while Melinda, Ander and Roman had their smiles wiped off. They felt as if someone snatched away the food from their plate.

Omen on the other hand was the happiest of them all. He didn't know that Max would turn on his decision so easily.

"But, in my opinion, you should end your hatred. It won't do you any good, it's just a healthy advice though." Max suddenly said with a smile.

"Surely, Sir. I hope to see that day too." Omen said with a sigh as if he really had been trying hard to let go of the hatred.

"Take this, from today onwards write all your hatred in this. And, then seal them into it forever. And…" Max suddenly paused as he threw the diary at him before continuing, "...you better not let them leak out of it.."

Omen caught the dairy, and gave a nod. But, as he opened the thing to have a look, his entire being froze.

It definitely didn't escape the eyes of the people around.

Omen gulped inwardly as he shifted his gaze at Max. He suddenly began to sweat, and the horror was clear on his face as he once again looked at the diary.

The thing actually contained a copy of the evidence regarding one of the huge deals containing arms that he had with the Dark Society. If it came out in the public, then he was definitely doomed. Forgot about his dream of becoming the Lord, he wouldn't even be able to live in this house.

'He has the evidence, but still hasn't given me out..' Omen muttered inwardly. He was nervous, but still didn't lose his ability to function. He could see that they just wanted him to agree with the peace deal. And, the rest didn't matter to them.

Even an idiot would know what to do in this situation, much less him…

'Sir, I think you have opened my eyes," Omen suddenly made a 180 degree turn. "I think I was wrong. This might be the time to let go of this hatred. If I wait for any longer, I might not be able to do it."

The people around rolled their eyes at him, even a child could tell that something was definitely up with that dairy.

Melinda's eyes lit up looking at it, and she couldn't help but look at Max in surprise. She had been really taken back by his ability. He really had the resources to do things one couldn't imagine. It was the right decision on her side to make him a friend.

"Well, then it's really good if you realize it," Max said with a smile before scanning the people around, "Is there anyone who needs a realization...I mean who has a problem.." He corrected himself mid way.

But people really doubted whether he really meant it or not, the guy was clearly threatening them. And, after seeing even someone like Omen succumb, none of these people had any guts to oppose the matter.

And, hence the problem was finally over.

The decision was passed unanimously without anyone's refusal.

The years of hatred had finally come to an end today.

With the meeting ending, Omen was the first to leave in a hurry, and the elders supporting him soon followed after.

'They left pretty soon..' Max shook his head. After all, his final plan had yet to come.

It was all built up until now for the main event that he had planned yesterday.

And, it was time now.

He got up from his seat and walked up to the two Lords while the rest of the guys began to make their exit. "Well, then we will be taking our leave."

Melinda nodded, and acted out in the way that she ought to.

Max then looked at Ander and Roman when his lips suddenly curled up into a smile. Melinda, who had been paying attention to them, immediately felt a chill rising up her spine, but she was too late to do anything.

"Now, there is nothing to stop Lear and Lora's love. You two better do a good job supporting them."

With that, the elderly man behind Max grabbed him and he instantly disappeared dropping the entire Auditorium into a silence.

An hour from now, the whole world would realize that Lear and Lora were dating, except for the two in question.
