"Hey, are you even keeping an eye on her?" Madam Wang was displeased by his clueless answer.

Luo Tiankong shook his head, "Not now. The security around her is very tight."

"Do something then." The woman turned her sight to the way and put on her professional smile as she strolled away. While walking out, she greeted every one of the employees of the company with enthusiasm. 

Such a show she could put up!

For such humble and virtuous behaviour despite being the daughter of a prominent family, many liked her. But if only they could hear her inner thoughts, they would like gallons of fresh blood!

In the hospital, Luo Qintian had already been transferred to a VIP room, with the old man's condition Luo Lixi couldn't drag herself away from him.

Instead, Luo Lixi had already made the room her sleeping place. The day she had arrived, she refused to go back. And she was very stubborn.

Then Aunt Zhu also didn't force her to leave and brought her clothes so that she could stay and take care of Luo Qintian without any worry. 

Now alongside Luo Lixi, Aunt Zhu and other nurses were appointed to take care of the man. 

"It's been five days. When will grandfather wake up?" Luo Lixi murmured as she turned her face to Aunt Zhu from Luo Qintian's face. 

She was worried sick but she knew she needed to contain herself, she should be strong for her grandfather who still was beside her.

The other person was reading a book when she got interrupted. She adjusted her glasses and then said while keeping her eyes on the book page, "He has undergone two more light surgeries. Of course, it will take time."

Luo Lixi pressed her lips tight, her mind chaotic but she looked calm on the outside. She sighed out a breath and then walked to the window.

 The windows were seen through. From this place, she could see the other buildings. Even the high trees peeking from around the buildings.

Right then, Luo Lixi turned around and glanced at Aunt Zhu. Her eyes were in a daze and the realization that she didn't go to the company suddenly came to mind again. She sighed and then walked beside the old woman. 

Her eyes saw the book the other person was reading and lost interest. When several minutes passed, she yawned. 

In return, Aunt patted her own thigh, "Take a nap. I will take a lookout!" 

Luo Lixi nodded and laid down on the sofa and placed her head on the warm lap of the old woman. Luo Lixi closed her eyes but she couldn't keep her eyes closed for long.

 Unknown worries and the thought of experiencing the same pain of losing someone was enough to cause a terrible headache. It was making her depressed and it took away her sleep.

Suddenly, the door was knocked. Bi Tang opened the door a bit and murmured, "Miss Luo, your uncle, Luo Biwun had come."

Luo Lixi immediately opened her eyes and sat up. She smoothed out her dress and then replied in a soft voice, "Let him in."

Thus, the next moment Luo Biwun entered the room with frowned brows and a concerned gaze. As soon as he saw the old man lying down on the bed with the life-supporting system, his heart dropped.

"You are early, uncle Luo. I thought you would come at night." Luo Lixi said as her eyes subconsciously fell on the window. It was dawn by then.

Luo Biwun replied awkwardly, "After knowing the condition of the Elder, how can I wait to come later?!" 

While saying this, he walked up and glanced down at the man. Luo Biwun sat down on the chair beside him and asked Luo Lixi, "How are the conditions?"

"Not good." Luo Lixi smiled tight while saying but the man who saw, felt it was coated with hidden sorrow. He shook his head and murmured. 

"It's really a bad time. I wanted to talk with Elder, who knew…"

Luo Lixi stared at Luo Biwun. Then, she pondered for a moment and said, "Uncle, I know why you have come here. It's very obvious. But as you can see, I have no intention to go to work until grandfather wakes up."

"Lixi, it doesn't work like that. At least you have to go and do something. The shareholders and executives are becoming impatient. " He sighs, halting on his words, eyeing Luo Lixi who just rolled her eyes, what could she do when his words reminded her of those old hags thirst for money and her peaceful life.

"Also, if you continue to ignore the company, soon it will turn into a big crisis. The position of the highest authority can't remain empty for long…" He continues with a stilled expression, hoping she would hear him to the end.

Luo Biwun tried to force some common sense into Luo Lixi's head. Aunt Zhu also became alert and spoke out, "Miss Luo, Mr Luo Biwun is stating the facts. Why don't you start to go to the company? You can come back as soon as possible. We are here."

Luo Lixi shook her head. Luo Biwun felt desperate and then turned to Aunt Zhu for help. But Luo Lixi was stubborn. In the end, Luo Biwun said when he failed to pacify Luo Lixi, "Then, you have other ways. Why not choose a temporary CEO?"

Luo Lixi's eyes lit up. She turned towards Luo Biwun and suggested, "Uncle Luo, why don't you become the CEO for now and take care of it?"

Luo Biwun was stumped and pointed at himself, "M…me?! Don't joke!"

He was flabbergasted, completely speechless; he just gawked at Luo Lixi as if she just said something that can never make sense.

"I am not joking. I will give you the authority to run the company in my absence. I really really don't want to leave my grandfather for work!" Luo Lixi moved towards him and said with all seriousness. 

Luo Biwun, however, violently shook his head in denial. He also backed away, "I am not suitable for it. In my opinion, cousin Tiankong or Madam Wang are the best candidates for this position." He said while making sure he was clear enough.

Lixi shook her head, making him frown but Luo Biwun tried to pacify her, "Also, the shareholders and executives respect and obey them without any hesitation. So, why not?" He says forcing out his thoughts onto her and wishing for his words to be acknowledged. 

However, even before Luo Lixi could put out her thoughts, Aunt Zhu interjected, "No, not them!

Both Luo Biwun and Luo Lixi turned towards Aunt Zhu simultaneously. The old woman became embarrassed and replied, "You shouldn't give such authority to other people even if they are capable. Also, not them. Your grandfather doesn't like them much..."

Luo Biwun sighed and leaned against the chair. He turned depressed after hearing the elder's opinion and now that grandfather's dislike was mentioned he felt cornered, "In this manner, no one will reach a solution… Right, what about Lixiang? Call him and tell him to regain the CEO position…"

Aunt Zhu roared out, "Absolutely not! How can you even say that?! Old master will get another heart attack if he hears you!"

"..." Luo Lixi subconsciously turned towards Luo Qintian and thought, 'Grandfather, are you listening?!'

"... Old lady, don't shout! I am just suggesting! Suggesting! Why are you becoming hyper? It nearly caused me a heart attack!" Luo Biwun said as he patted his chest. He breathed in and out heavily and then turned towards Luo Lixi. 

"I won't say another line. Girl, hurry and give a solution." Luo Biwun said, raising his hands up in the air, surrendering while Lixi sighed, feeling conflicted.

Afterwards, he picked up the water bottle and gulped down some sips. Because of Aunt Zhu's shouts, he really got a huge scare. 

Luo Lixi couldn't find another solution. Also, they had just come back from the capital city and had lost the opportunity to gain a project against the Sheng Industry. She didn't want people to gossip by giving the authority to Sheng Ruming either and make it worse.

Luo Lixi nodded her head and turned towards Luo Qintian. Then, she said, "Don't worry. I will send you a CEO tomorrow! More proficient than me."

Luo Biwun's eyes became stiff as he eyed her with doubt, "Can I believe you?" 

"Of course! You can." Luo Lixi tried to put on a reassuring smile and then tried to assure the man. Thus, Luo Biwun left the VIP room. 

Even when he returned to the company, his heart had doubts. 'More proficient? Is it Sheng Ruming?'

When he passed the news of getting a temporary CEO, the whole company erupted into a discussion. They talked about Luo Lixi's irresponsibility towards the company and gossiped about the new CEO. 

While on the other hand, Madam Wang and Luo Tiankong were caught off guard. The woman banged her hand on her table and asked in annoyance, "New CEO, don't tell me it's Sheng Ruming?!"
