It has been a while since Appraisal worked on an overlord, so Luke was caught off guard, and he got even more surprised when he saw those statues… the enemy wasn't something to laugh at. He was probably three or four times more powerful than anything Luke has faced thus far. He almost immediately regretted bringing Danielle to help… There was no issue with crying over the spilled milk now, so Luke had to find a way to do his usual thing: kick the enemy's ass before they had the chance to do the same with him.

Regardless, the enemy looked even more human than the others that Luke had seen until now. Everything on the overlord was really human-like. Aside from the fact that he was eight meters tall was wearing one armor that resembled the armor of a giant robot and also had an ax as big as him. A strike of someone like that probably will be mortal on anyone else aside from Luke and Richter.

"Do you guys face enemies like that all the time?" Sylah asked.

It seemed that Danielle wanted to ask the same thing, but she was too scared to do so. Nevertheless, even Rina was quite nervous, and Shalia was serious because a foe like that was a first. Luke stepped forward to make sure that the enemy wouldn't target his friends before it launched him in the distance, and Rina immediately buffed his strength. Still, it was hard to imagine that it would be enough. Luke strengthened his spirit and clenched his teeth and fists while looking at the enemy. Still, the colossal creature felt like doing something else instead of attacking first.

"I was wondering who had defeated the overlords in the north and those two…" The giant Risse said. "So, it was a group like this…"

The giant swung his ax in front of himself and then sent a shockwave toward Luke's group that forced them to take several steps backward. While it didn't cause much damage, it certainly made some cracks appear in the whole room. Luke wondered what the point of an attack like that that damaged his base so much was. If it was a distraction, it didn't work since Luke never took his eyes from him. Trying to scare his group was a waste of time as well. They were already worried enough as they were.

The best option would be to learn more about the enemy and attack with the bow and then change for the ax later, but Luke equipped the ax and readied himself. The giant frowned upon looking at that. It didn't seem like he received many challenges from those way weaker than him. Luke would gladly show him how mad of a man he was.

Nevertheless, Luke charged toward him and then used Stinger. The enemy swung that massive ax with a single hand and then stopped Luke's strike without showing much effort. That size of the enemy and the weapon sure were making things easier for him. Still, Luke didn't stop there. He fired Spark Balls toward the overlord's face, and he used the other hand to block it. It was pretty small, but Luke had caused some damage there. Some blood was flowing from the place that had been hit.

The next moment, the giant decided to attack. After moving his ax backward and forward at a weird speed, Luke jumped away to dodge the attack, but the power behind it created a shockwave that sent him flying and spinning backward furiously. He only stopped after hitting his back on the wall near the entrance of the room. Luke fell and, at the same time, spat a mouthful of blood. Something was off regarding that attack...

"Although his status says that he is fast, he is much heavier than you, that is why his move looks slow," Rina said and then approached to heal Luke. "His strength is beyond what it looks like thanks to all that, but his speed pays the price."

Danielle and Sylah began to fire Electric Arrows toward the enemy to buy time, and the giant seemed pretty annoyed by it. His physical strength and defense were insanely high, but other parameters weren't up to par. Despite that, the overlord charged toward those two, and Luke left Rina behind to stop the enemy.

Luke used Lightning, and the giant trembled all over while it was moving, and then Luke used Stinger toward its neck. He didn't have time to move his weapon, but the enemy used its roaming arm to block the attack. This time, Luke's attack barely left a wound on the enemy's body. That level of resilience was beyond annoying…

The giant tried to grab Luke without letting go of his ax. Trying to win in a contest of strength was useless, so Luke had to let go of his weapon. However, he attacked the left eye of the overlord with Flying Kick. Out of reflex, he closed it, and Luke's attack didn't cause much damage, but he still got the result that he wanted… When the giant opened its eyes, Luke was nowhere to be seen.

The giant had planned to destroy Luke's weapon as soon as possible, but he forgot it due to the circumstances. Still, he soon learned where Luke was when he began to feel some pain on its nape.. Luke used Fury Punches alongside Heavy Strike at a fearsome speed.
