Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 477 - The Truth They Needed To Hear

Once Eisen had led everyone into the Dungeon, he sat down on one of the couches in the waiting area of this reception-house that everyone started in and then waited for the others to do the exact same.

"Alright, what do you need to tell us?" Sky asked curiously, but before Eisen said anything, he looked at the amulet around Bree's neck.

"Kirisho, you come out as well." The old man said, and soon, mist rushed out of the gem at the amulet's center to form the Mist Spirit's body, who was standing there just rather nervously.

"Now then, everyone's gathered, it seems..." The old man pointed out, and then with a blank expression looked at everyone that had gathered here, "I fully trust you all. However, since this issue is one that affects this whole world, as well as your whole life just by knowing about it, let me start by saying that it's alright if you leave now in case you don't want to hear it. Especially you two, Parc and Rouge." Eisen explained, "You're still practically children, you don't have to put your lifes in danger for my selfishness." The old man told them, however, everyone that was there simply looked at Eisen curiously and concerned for what this information was.

Seeing that nobody seemed to have the intention of leaving, Eisen sighed deeply and smiled, "Then have it your way." Eisen said, and then crossed his arms as he leaned back on the couch.

"Besides this one, there's another world called 'Earth'. There is no magic, there are no monsters, and a status in nonexistent as well. There, a company called 'Prime Industries' brought out a new sort of game to entertain other then. That game is called 'World of Magic'. Five people were given an important role to act as a base for extensive knowledge to be added into the game, and were allowed to play it earlier than others. Those five were Brody, Evalia, Jyuuk, Xenia, and I. And the world from the 'Game' is this one. And the players of that game are the Artificials that are appearing all over this continent now. Well, in reality, that's just what those Artificials believe, but at this point all of us 'Originals', the five that peaked, have already figured out that this actually is another true world." Eisen explained, practically ignoring the faces of everyone around him.

And then, Kirisho just stared at Eisen with an anger-filled expression, "How dare you lie to us like that! You heard about the Other-World disease, and now you're pretending like it's real?! You have to be joking!" Kirisho exclaimed, but as she was doing so, Eisen had been looking at the expressions of the others and noticed a particular change. They were tense during Eisen's explanation, but soon after, they just started smiling like idiots.

And the exception to that were Kirisho, Sigurd, the five Half-Dragons, and Eisen's Monsters. Everyone that was technically a 'Person' was affected by the 'Mind Control', seemingly.

"Oh? Interesting..." Eisen muttered quietly, but before Kirisho could continue letting her anger out on Eisen, Denmir already started to speak, "Really great atmosphere in 'ere, but why'd we have ta come in? What'd ya wanna tell us?" The Dwarf asked, and Kirisho as well as everyone else that was technically seen a 'Monster', as well as the Core Guardian Sigurd, stared over toward him confusedly.

"Mister Denmir, Grandfather just told us... It seemed ridiculous, but to just ignore it..." Kiron said with a slight frown, but Eisen swiftly shook his head.

"Don't worry, I should have figured this would happen. But I guess this is as good a chance as any. Samuel, you piece of shit, come and talk to me sometime again instead of going for such cowardly tactics. Now then, let's keep going until one of us gives up." Eisen grinned, and then stared back at the group of people in front of him.

"The artificials and Originals are from another world, and the artificials think of this world as a game." The old man repeated, and the others once more seemed to completely forget what Eisen just said and started anew, while all the monsters looked at him confused.

"H-Hey, what are you even talking about, old man?" Morgus asked with a wry smile, and Eisen, without paying too much attention to the Half-Dragon, repeated it once more, "The artificials and Originals are from another world, and the artificials think of this world as a game."

"Stop it already! Stop doing whatever you're doing!" Kirisho exclaimed, and all the people looked at her confused and surprised at her suddenly yelling like that, but before they could speak, Eisen got started again.

"The artificials and originals are from another world, and the artificials think of this world as a game." Eisen said, and by now, the third time, it seemed like something started to change in the others. Especially in Sky and Bree, who were Half-Monsters, looked at Eisen with confusion. It seemed like it took a bit longer for them to fall under the control this time.

So, Eisen once more repeated what he was saying. And then again, and then again, and again, until Sky and Bree both were no longer affected anymore.

"What are you doing to them?!" Kirisho asked angrily, and Eisen turned his eyes toward her with a deep glare, "Are you kidding me? You think I'm doing this to them? I'm literally telling them the truth. Do you want me to tell you other things? Benjamin Joyce, my real name. Tony, Melody, and Natsuo Jonathan, the names of my three children from that world. Benjamin Marcus Joyce, my grandson who came into this world as 'Stahl', and Sophia Joyce-Aren, my granddaughter who came into this world as 'Alnico'. Then there are Lyla, Lola, Sean and Katherin, my four other grandchildren from there. Samuel Morgan, the name of the man that literally trapped me in another world for One Hundred thousand years, making it impossible for me to see any of them! Unsure if they were even alive, if they knew I was gone, and what was even happening! All I'm trying to do here is finally get my own life under my own control!" Eisen yelled out, pure anger pouring out of his body now that he finally had the chance to speak about all of this. Maybe him doing all this brought the original Eisen out a little more, but the old man couldn't really tell.

He didn't care that much then either, "All I want to do is get the help of some friends so that I can do that, is that too much to ask for?! I want to get my memories back, memories that I spent a myriad of lifetimes accumulating, and you're pushing the blame on me? Kirisho, what do you have against me all of a sudden?!" The old man yelled out, and the woman in front of him stared back with a fearful expression, and Eisen swiftly noticed the expressions of everyone in the room.

"Well then, seems like this time around, he couldn't control you anymore. You just heard what I said, I'm from a different world. The artificials think this is nothing but a game, but it very obviously isn't. I need your guys' help to get my memories back, and then literally free this world of the control that Samuel has put it under." Eisen explained to them, slowly sitting back down onto his couch, while everyone was just staring at him.

For a while, everyone was quite silent, but then, Kirisho spoke up. "Before I died, I was in an asylum... it was raided, and some people used everyone there for experiments, thinking they would be easy to take advantage of... Until a little while ago, I was only aware that this was the case, I didn't remember why I was there, however. Once we had our conversation, I did..." The Dead girl explained, and Eisen raised his head back up and felt his stomach sink in the very moment he did so, realizing why Kirisho had been so upset and held-back over the last little while.

"I... used to have Other-world disease... I thought you were mocking me, or angry that people would dare have such a disease... That's the reaction many people have to it... But it's actually real..?" Kirisho asked, pressing her hands in front of her face as she was seemingly overcome with complicated emotions she herself didn't truly understand, and Eisen then swiftly stood back up and rushed over to her. He didn't know what came over him just there, yelling at her like that...

"I'm sorry, I truly didn't know. I was angry at the fact that Samuel would have people that know about this be treated as if they were sick. That's what made me mad that day." The old man explained, kneeling down in front of Kirisho and placing his hand onto her arm, "Sorry if I made you think that I was mad at you." Eisen said with a light, sad frown, but before he could do anything else, the others spoke up.

"Eisen, what are you even saying? A different world..? Are you going crazy?" Jekyll asked confusedly, really not sure if he was truly believing what Eisen just told them, but the old man just stood back up and helped Kirisho do so while he was at it.

"Let me tell you the story from the beginning." The old man said with a slight sigh, and then made his way back to the couch, followed by Kirisho who then sat down right next to him, and started to speak.

"Five years before I started playing the 'Game', or rather five years before I was born in this world, I was approached by a rather new technological company..." The old man started, and then started to tell them about everything that went on with him on the other side. How he was raised, how he travelled around that world, how he met his wife and married her, and how he lost her. How he became a master craftsman after spending his whole life on practicing for it, and how he then lost all of that when his own brother broke into his home, costing him the ability to use his arm for more than minor tasks.

Then how he started playing this 'game' that he helped out a few years prior, and with that re-gained the ability to work. From this point on, he had already told them his story from this world as far as he could remember it, but now the gaps were filled in by what happened on the other side.

Finally he could speak freely about his thoughts like this.
