Speed Is King

Chapter 88 - Too Far?

Elliot whirled around in surprise. He recognized that voice. It was the alien he just defeated! Jagor Tawlon!

True enough, the pale human figure of Jagor Tawlon appeared in his sights, floating in mid-air with three pairs of huge angelic wings flapping lazily behind him.

His hybrid human form was smaller than Elliot’s mighty White Dragon Beast Form, but his magnificent wings made him look as large and as menacing as Elliot.

“Elliot Musk.” Jagor Tawlon’s metallic voice rasped eerily from his glorious angelic figure.

Elliot merely growled in response. His beast form had no speaking capabilities.

The only thing he wanted to do at that moment was to attack and rip the alien to pieces. But thankfully, he was in his White Dragon form, and its overwhelming apathy towards everything allowed Elliot to think fully rationally and hold back his attacks. For the moment.

His deep seated anger was already starting to bubble slowly in his heart.

“You are an excellent speed demon. Join me.” Jagor Tawlon rasped. “I will make you captain of my exploration team.”

“Captain of his exploration team?” Elliot’s mind immediately whirred at full speed and brought up various possibilities regarding Jagor Tawlon’s background.

“Wildest guess, he’s controlled by a Shadow Parasite. He is exploring to search for that unique substance that could help them produce a Parasite Queen!

Second wildest, he’s an operative from the aliens seeking to find whatever the Shadow Parasites are looking for.

Third and most probable case, he’s just an alien Insert seeking to expand his strength and territory.”

Elliot hovered in front of him silently for a short moment before beckoning Jagor Tawlon to follow him down to the ground. At that moment, Jagor Tawlon was a treasure pot of information. He had much higher value to Elliot alive than dead.

“You’re recruiting me to join your faction? What’s in it for me?” Elliot asked coolly as soon as he transformed back to his human form.

He had landed a distance away from the town, and was in a sparsely wooded area outside of the town’s Western walls.

The handsome alien retracted his wings and smiled enigmatically at Elliot.

He was dressed in a set of formal black suit, and looked extremely dashing. His perfectly formed eyes and flawless face gave out a divine aura that was slightly overwhelming for Elliot.

“He’s so damned good looking that it’s blinding. My male ego is being mercilessly pressured by his perfection, damn it.” Elliot grumbled lightly in his heart.

“You get to live.” The alien gave a simple but powerful reply.

Elliot held back his desire to smash the alien’s head in with a powerful straight right and forced himself to think of the bigger picture.

“I need information!” His brain told his heart and his arms sternly. “You guys stand down for now. You too, legs! No kicking!”

“I have to join his faction and learn all about it, but I can’t be too willing, or else that would be suspicious.” He thought.

Elliot glared at the alien and wondered just how powerful he is.

“You must be wondering if I am powerful enough to threaten you. Let me give you a demonstration.” The alien continued to smile and then raised his hand before lowering it at a huge rock formation nearby.

BOOOOMMMM!!!

A powerful energy beam appeared from somewhere above them and obliterated the rocks into dust!

“Hmmm? High altitude weapons platform. Not bad.” Elliot smiled sinisterly. “But you’ll need more than that to make me join you.”

In his heart, Elliot secretly rejoiced. If he was depending on external objects to demonstrate his power, it could only mean one thing. His personal power was lacking!

Jagor Tawlon laughed and then pointed at Elliot.

Immediately, a deep sense of danger appeared in Elliot’s heart. The sense of danger indicated that it wasn’t something that would kill him outright, but it was also something that he wouldn’t want to be hit by directly as well.

“So you want to put me in place by wounding me badly huh? Well, too bad for you, I am no pushover!” Elliot snarled.

“Charge.” Elliot immediately shouted in his mind and exploded out from his position towards Jagor Tawlon.

BOOM!!!!

The spot where he was standing at a moment ago erupted like a volcano.

Elliot ignored it and continued his charge towards Jagor Tawlon. And once he was in motion, Elliot couldn’t be bothered to hold back.

He immediately transformed into his Primal Feline Warrior beast form and attacked Jagor Tawlon with all his strength!

“I don’t think I’ll be able to kill him easily. Let me give him a taste of his own medicine and deal a huge amount of damage to HIM and make him respect me. It’ll be easier to gather information if he respects me.” Elliot coldly analyzed the situation.

GRAHHH!!!

Elliot’s Primal Roar caused Jagor Tawlon to freeze for a split second.

“Lightning Slash!”

Elliot’s powerful claws slashed at Jagor Tawlon’s human body and dealt powerful armor-piercing damage to him.

SLASH!

SCREEEEEEE!!!!

An agonized screech sounded from Jagor Tawlon as he ditched his weak human form and transformed into a large six-winged avian beast.

His original beast form was an extremely creepy and fearsome looking beast with two pairs of clawed arms situated below his three pairs of wings, as well as another two pairs of clawed legs below his body. All that made him look like a freakishly large quadruped bird with six wings and four arms.

“WHAT THE F***!! CAN YOU GET ANY UGLIER THAN THIS?” Elliot roared with surprise in his public mindspace as he leapt backwards to avoid an angry peck from Jagor Tawlon.

SCREEEEEE!!!

Jagor Tawlon screeched angrily and immediately, tens of powerful energy beams rained down on Elliot from the sky!

“Uhhh.. Did I push him too far? Has “respect” turned to “anger”?” Elliot wondered as he nimbly avoided all of the energy beams with his agile Primal Feline Warrior beast form.
