Speed Is King

382 I already can

As before, the vision began with Kai kneeling upon one knee before Elliot. Behind him were endless fleets of starships of every single design conceivable.

In his vision, Elliot could see himself looking at Kai and the starships coldly, as though they were criminals, and not underlings awaiting his permission.

“Have you given this more thought, as I have asked you to?” Elliot could hear himself asking.

“I have, Master. My destiny awaits. I cannot run from it anymore. Forgive me for not being able to stay by your side anymore.” Kai said with his head bowed.

Elliot merely stared at him with his cold expression.

Suddenly, Kai reached out and grabbed his right arm with his left hand.

“As a sign of my filial piety for you, I will leave my right arm here, and I swear never to regrow it until I return home to your side!” Kai said fervently and ripped out his right arm at the same time.

Spurt!

His blood spurted out everywhere, but Kai’s face showed not one whit of pain. Instead, he was looking at Elliot pleadingly, like a child seeking permission from his father to go out and play with his friends.

Elliot’s cold face softened then, and he sighed deeply.

He took Kai’s right arm and immediately covered it with sub-zero energy to preserve it, and at the same time, he pointed at Kai’s bloody stump.

“If you’re going out there to conquer the rest of the Realm, you can’t do it with just one arm. What will they say about me if you do that?” Elliot said gruffly as a fearsome energy flowed out of his hand.

A beautiful set of armor drifted out of Elliot’s dimensional storage at that moment.

It was his personal Divine Grade Sentient Armor which he sometimes used when he fought against the Demon God.

Elliot’s fearsome energy covered the Armor and and began to remold it on the spot.

“Master!” Kai cried out in surprise at what Elliot was doing.

“Do not worry. It is his will as well as mine that he follow you to battle. I had thought of gifting him to you so that you would have an extra layer of protection, but now… I guess it is fitting that I give you something of mine in return for the promise you’ve given me.” Elliot smiled as his Divine Grade Sentient Armor, which he named Boundless, took the shape of Kai’s right arm.

He easily connected Boundless to the stump on Kai’s right shoulder perfectly and sealed the connection with a few drops of his blood.

Kai’s new right arm glowed a brilliant red glow for a few seconds before subsiding.

Kai stared at his new right arm with a slightly dumbfounded look on his face.

Boundless was the only Divine Grade Sentient Armor in the entire expanded universe.

It was a gift that surpassed the value of the trillions of starships that stood at the ready behind him!

“There. Now you’re ready. Go. Come back only when you have brought the entire realm to heel.” Elliot commanded Kai with a cold voice before turning around and leaving without another word.

Blink.

Elliot disappeared.

Kai remained kneeling with his head bowed for another hour as he slowly took to heart his Master’s feelings and expectations of him.

Deep in his master’s heart, Kai knew he only wished for one thing.

Kai’s safe return home.

Kai’s heart was burning with a deep passion for his Master’s love and support for his destiny’s call.

“I will not fail you, Master.” Kai said softly.

After a full hour of kneeling, Kai stood up.

As he did so, a peerlessly sharp aura shot out from him.

With just a single thought, he caused a massive portal to appear near his fleet.

“Go.” He ordered.

With practiced precision and cohesion despite being made up of thousands of different types of starships, the fleet entered the portal and disappeared.

Kai looked at his Master’s little planet Earth one last time, and then disappeared into the portal as well to join his fleet.

The vision flashed into the future once more.

It was a vision of Kai engaging in a desperate fight against a powerful God!

Bam! Kai turned the God’s head to mush with a powerful straight right!

Flash.

Kai fighting with yet a different God. But this time, it was a walk in the park. Literally. Kai simply walked up to the shrieking God in a windy grassland setting, reached out with his right hand and crushed the God’s head.

Flash.

Kai standing before a massive space sector completely covered by a powerful barrier. He drew back his right arm and…

BAM!!!

His punch caused the barrier to crack!

BAM!!

His second punch completely shattered it.

Flash.

Kai standing upon the ruins of an entire Star Sector, looking at a massive host of bug-like monsters swarming towards him.

Flash.

Flash.

Flash.

Faster and faster the images appeared, all of which showed Kai fighting and winning his battles until finally. A heavily wounded Kai appeared before Planet Earth once more.

But at that time, Planet Earth was… no more.

And with that, the visions ended.

Elliot blinked a few times as he processed what he just saw.

“How much of it will come true?” Elliot asked Kai.

“Almost all of it.” Kai replied softly.

Elliot nodded.

“Good. That means whatever happens here in the Shadow Realm, we will succeed. Our real enemies are the Realm of Sin.” Elliot stated. “And that is also why your fate is not something that Saints can see?”

“Yes. No Saint in this part of the universe would be able to sense my fate. It is much too big, much too significant for small time Fate Weavers to understand.” Kai said.

“Small time Fate Weavers?” Elise Sands snorted. “Say that when you are able to resist my attacks!”

Kai merely smiled at Elise Sands and said, “I already can.”
