Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 97 - Earthen Grizzly Bears

'Huh? Bunch of items better than the items from the shop?'

Lucas was tempted when he saw the system notification in front of him.

'I think it is finally time to take the risky missions because I need to become stronger as soon as possible.'

The riskier a mission is, the more generous the reward will be and it was common saying that Lucas knew from his previous life.

So, after thinking for a moment, Lucas decided to stay in the Viscount grounds for the next 24 hours.

'Ding,

The mission will automatically start once the host enters the Viscount grounds and as long as he stays in there for 24 hours, the mission will be completed.

'But before I enter the Viscount grounds, I think I should let others know about it; otherwise, they would be anxious and worried.'

Lucas thought about it after seeing the system notification and started searching for someone from the Hellmore family.

'Also, I think it is about time for the Sovereign Shop to update the items.'

While searching for Porter and others, Lucas thought about the Sovereign shop; however, there was still a couple of hours for the items to get refreshed.

'If the young squires take my suggestion, I think I know where they will be now?'

Suddenly, Lucas thought of something and rushed in a particular direction as though he knew where to find them.

.....

Somewhere in the Baron grounds.

"Remember, no one will help you while killing your Sacrificial spirit beast to become a Lesser Knight."

Porter shouted at the 10 young men in front of him as he continued, "Also, are you sure about your Sacrificial spirit beast?"

Looking at a group of brown bears in the distance, Porter asked them.

"Instructor Porter, we are sure. If we, the ten members, sacrifice the same spirit beast that is the Earthen grizzly bear, chances of one of us getting its signature skill is very high."

One of the young squires replied to Porter.

"Kid, do you think you will get its signature skill with only 10 members?"

However, Porter shook his head and looking at how serious the young squires were, he thought about something.

"Fine then. I will tell you something. In the past, there used to be a family, who wanted to hunt rank 3 Thorny unicorns to get its signature skill 'Limb regeneration'. The family forced 100  of its young quasi-lesser knights to kill the thorny unicorns; however, not a single one was able to get that skill. So, do you still want to hunt them?"

"Yes, Instructor Porter. We still want to do it."

All the young squires nodded their heads in unison, making Porter shake his head; however, he didn't try to persuade them anymore.

"Instructor Porter, actually, even if we didn't get its signature skill, we will be happy with its other skills."

"Yes. If we have all the skills of an Earthen grizzly bear and if we work together as a team, we can fight the higher-ranked experts."

Seeing that their instructor was not convinced, the young squires tried to help Porter with what they were doing from their perspective.

"Huh?"

Hearing what the young squires were planning, Porter raised his brows in surprise as he asked, "Now tell me, you told you to do it."

"It was the Family head Lucas."

There was no hesitation while one of the young squires replied to Porter.

'I knew it.'

Of course, Porter could tell that it was definitely not the young squires' idea. So, he asked who suggested them about it.

Actually, many of the quasi-lesser knights choose to sacrifice Grizzly Bears to become Lesser knights because they don't have weak skills; however, at the same time, they didn't have any powerful skills except for their signature skill.

However, even its signature skill was not powerful when used alone. So, Lucas suggested the young squires because he wanted a powerful team to guard the Hellmore family even with their low ranks.

"Master Lucas only said his thoughts and left the decision for us to make."

"He even said, he would be happy with whatever rank 3 spirit beast we choose to sacrifice."

Soon, another two young squires replied to Porter.

"Okay then. Since the family head had suggested this, then there is no harm in trying it."

Even though Porter already knew the skills of the Earthen grizzly bears, he didn't think from Lucas' perspective which was from the family head's perspective.

'If one of the young squires awakens the signature skill of the Earthern grizzly bear, then everyone will have the power to fight a tier 1 general knight with a strength of tier 1 lesser knight.'

'Even if they didn't awake its signature skill, as long as they work together, they could fight four tiers higher than them in the same rank.'

Porter was marvelled at Lucas' thinking and looking forward to the final result of the young squires' sacrifice.

"Remember, you have to separate an Earthern grizzly bear from its group before fighting."

This was Porter's final suggestion to the young squires.

"Yes, Instructor Porter."

Nodding their heads, one of the young squires slowly moved towards the group of grizzly bears and baited one of the rank 3 grizzly bears by showing himself before running far away.

'Growl'

A couple of grizzly bears saw that young squire; however, only one of the grizzly closer to the young squire rushed after him while the other ones went back to sleep.

Laziness was another thing why Lucas was very confident that the young squires would not have any problem in sacrificing the Earthen grizzly bears.

'He did it.'

Looking at how easily one of the young squires was able to bait the huge earthen grizzly bear, the young squires watching him from the distance were excited.

'Who will go next?'

Porter knew that the first young squire would no longer have any problem in sacrificing the earthen grizzly bear because he had already completed the main mission which was to separate the grizzly bear from its group.

So, Porter asked the next young squire to go.

Soon, a second young squire was also able to separate the grizzly bear and started fighting it.

The third and fourth young squires were also successful.

However, the fifth one was not so lucky as the group of rank 3 earthen grizzly bears chased him.

"Instructor Porter, he will be caught by them if you don't act now."

One of the young squires became anxious and hurriedly asked Porter to do something.

"I am not your nanny to protect you all the time. If you want to save him, you have to do it yourself."

Porter's words made everyone speechless; however, when they thought about it, they felt what he said was true.

"Brothers, there are six earthen grizzly bears chasing him. As long as we each fight earthen grizzly bears, we can not only save him but we will become the lesser knights."

One of the quick-witted young squires was able to control his anxiousness and thought of something before ordering the young squires around him.

"Let's do it."

"That's right! We can do it."

Soon, four young squires around him also controlled their anxiety as they rushed forward without thinking much.
