Outside the cave,

'Where did he go?'

After celebrating a little at their victory, Carter looked at Logan and Luna before looking at the place where Lucas stood earlier.

'Looks like he escaped after seeing I killed the rank 3 fire snake.'

Even though he had help from others, the final blow was dealt by Carter. So, without hesitation, he claimed that he killed that fire snake.

"Luna, what did you think about my proposal from last week?"

While looking at Luna's attractive body, Carter asked with a lewd smile on his face.

Before she could say anything, Carter continued, "I heard your father needs the gall of a fire snake to cure the fire poison in his body. So, what do you say?"

Lucas scoffed back at Carter and was ready to use it.

Seeing the broken spear in Logan's hands, Carter mocked Logan.

All of sudden, Logan started laughing despite being mocked by Carter, "Luna, do it now."

As soon as he finished his words, a wolf spirit appeared out of nowhere and jumped onto Carter.

The brother and sister duo didn't waste any time, as they selected Carter's servants who were rushing towards their young master to help.

Logan used the broken spear to pierce his target's neck and killed him without much difficulty.

Luna chanted a spell that took her nearly one minute.

A transparent wolf claws condensed in front of Luna as they slashed the second servant to death.

Carter was barely stopping the wolf spirit that was trying to eat his head and when he saw that his two servants got killed, he became furious.

Even though he was furious regarding the Honorwolf's siblings, he lost hope in surviving because he was hitting his limit.

Just when he was about to give up, he heard a familiar voice from the distance that gave him hope.

In the distance, there were three young men wearing the weapon pavilion's robes rushing towards them at their fastest speed.

"Brother, let's kill him and get out of here."

Carter was troubling her for a few years now and finally, she got a chance to kill him. So, how could she let him live?

So, she was adamant about killing Carter before the group of the weapons pavilion could come here.

As soon as he finished his words, Logan rushed towards Carter to kill him whereas Luna rushed towards the fire snake.

Logan gritted his head and looked at the servants who were only a few hundred meters away from them.

As soon as he finished his words, Logan lunged at Carter before killing him.

Carter, the young master of the weapons pavilion died just like that.

The members of the weapons pavilion angrily shouted as they didn't stop running.

One of the three young men called Carter while shaking his corpse before shouting at the other two young men, "Go and kill them."

They were angry not because they like Carter, they were angry because Carter's father would punish them and their families if they didn't bring the corpse of Logan and Luna.

Logan jumped at the young men with the same broken spear in his hands.

Logan didn't bother to dodge their attacks. While taking some cuts, Logan caused some serious injuries in return.

'Wolf's recovery'

From the back, Luna didn't run away; instead, she cast a healing spell on her brother while chanting an attack spell.

Seeing that, the two young men were unable to kill Logan, the young man holding Carter's corpse cursed them before joining the fight.

The system detected a spirit beast egg hatching.

Lucas was pleasantly surprised because, from his memories, he knew that in this world, many have their own contracted spirit beasts.

So, Lucas thought about dropping his blood on the egg as it was the most basic method and primitive method to form a contract with an unhatched spirit beast.

As long as the hatchling sees the host after coming out of the egg, it will consider you as its family.

Sensing his thoughts, the system informed Lucas to not drop his blood on the cracking spirit beast egg.
