"Sorry, brother, the guild master asked us to stop this mission for now."

The two masked assassins Kill blade and Kill slash who were tasked with the assassination of Lucas and Evan, were having a conversation.

Not only these two assassins but the adventurer teams of all the top families who were about to enter the forest dropped their plan to enter the forest as they rushed back to their families after getting the message to come back as soon as possible.

In the outskirts of the Baron grounds of the Myriad primordial forest.

A light red-coloured crystal was lying on the ground emitting a glint occasionally.

Porter also saw the crystal and became excited as he said to Lucas.

Lucas had a memory of seeing such an item when he was in the old firmament as he picked up the crystal from the ground.

"But, isn't it going to decrease the value of the beast core? I can simply let the knight energy recover on its own."

For a lesser knight or above ranked knight, it was very easy to detect how much energy is left in a beast core. So, Porter worried about decreasing the value of the beast core.

"Don't worry about it. I need you to be in peak form."

Lucas's words made Porter's heart warm.

'I can simply auction it off in the coming auction. Since it was already a rare thing for a rank 3 beast core to appear. Not to mention those rich families' ego to get such a rare thing.'

Lucas had attended many auctions in his past life and he knew how the powerful families would outbid their competitors. So, he knew, the energy inside the beast core doesn't matter much in front of the egos of the top families.

"But before that, let's clean up all the carcasses before more spirit beasts come up here."

Lucas was still wondering about how a rank 3 spirit beast appeared in the outskirts of the Baron grounds? So, he didn't want to stay much longer before another rank 3 spirit beast showed up.

Soon, Lucas and Porter threw all the carcasses around them into three huge sacks before putting them on the horses as they rushed out of the forest.

Just as they came out of the forest. Lucas and Porter were stopped by a group of adventurers.

Lucas frowned when he saw a group of knights and mages in front of him with arrogant looks on their faces.

"What do you want?"

Porter controlled his horse as he stood in front of Lucas' horse as he asked in a cold voice.

"Give up 50 percent of your gains from the forest along with your two horses and we will let you live."

A middle-aged man walked forward as he gave his demands.

"And what if we don't?"

Porter was checking the strengths of the adventurer in front of him before Lucas replied to the leader of the adventurers.

It was not that Lucas was arrogant; instead, he felt there was no need to worry about a bunch of 'bandit adventures' whose leader had only the strength of tier 1 lesser knight strength.

As for the remaining 'bandit adventurers', they were either mid-level squires or mid-level apprentices.

So, Lucas was not worried as he could instantly kill all of them with his hidden needles while they were still unprepared and as for the leader, Porter could easily take care of him with the help of the lesser mage robe's effect.

"Then we will take everything you have...haha."

The leader of the 'bandit adventurers' was shocked for a moment before chuckling as he ordered his men while pointing at Lucas, "Kill him and bring the loot."

"As long as I am alive, it is not going to happen."

Porter wore the mag robe as he jumped off his horse before rushing at the incoming bandit adventurers.

"But your opponent is me."

The leader of the bandit adventurers stopped Porter from killing his men as they started fighting one another.

"I only need to stall for sometime before my men kill your master then we are going to kill you and take this artifact...Haha."

The leader sounded excited as he replied to Porter.
