Even though the evil entity was a little bit anxious regarding the hatching of the egg in Lucas' hand, his true aim was to turn Lucas into an evil being.

As long as he turns Lucas into an evil being before the egg hatches, he would not only gain control over Lucas but indirect control over the spirit beast that comes out of the egg.

Moreover, after seeing how easily he corroded Lucas' hands, Azik thought he would succeed in his plan.

"You will become my slave if you don't move from away from the crack, young man."

Azik laughed at Lucas for not backing down even when his hands were getting corroded by the evil energy.

"Let's see whether you will turn me into your slave before this little one hatches."

However, Lucas scoffed at Azik as he thought of a plan to stop the corrosion on his body by the evil energy.

"Thanks to your foolishness, I can succeed in my plan."

Azik was not angered by Lucas' words; instead, he was happy as he wanted Lucas to stay like that.

"Kacha"

In the next second, the small piece of shell fell down as a thin tail could be seen.

"Looks like I have won."

Lucas said to the evil entity on the other side of the spatial crack with a bright smile on his face.

"Human, I thought you were a clever one. Looks like I was wrong."

However, the evil entity sounded a little bit disappointed as it continued, "Even though I was unable to turn you into my slave, I have already corroded your right arm. What's more, it will continue to corrode the rest of your body. I guess you already know about it, right?"

"Oh. I know what you are talking about and I have already thought of something."

With a slight smile on his face, Lucas replied to the evil entity.

'Slash'

All of a sudden, something happened that made everyone standing behind Lucas shocked.

"What the hell? Are you out of your mind now?"

Even Azik was shocked by Lucas' actions because he chopped off his own arm after shifting the egg from right to left hand because his right hand was completely corroded as it was spreading.

"Haha…come out and absorb all the evil energy now."

Lucas didn't bother to reply to the evil entity as he ordered the spirit beast in the egg to directly absorb the remaining black mist around them because he already received the system notifications regarding the egg.

          The spirit beast inside the egg is linked with the host.

A few moments back, Lucas received these system notifications; however, he directly asked the system about what the spirit beast was.

Even though Lucas could see the thin tail, the egg didn't hatch completely, making Lucas unable to see it.

          Cosmic devourer:- A skill that lets the user devour any type of energy in this cosmos without any limit.

          Note:- The spirit beast can't absorb the energy from living beings that have higher strength than itself.

          More information:- A spirit beast that doesn't belong to the human world or evil world. It is a being that was born in space to consume the energies in the places where the energies become so pure that it affects the entire world.

'What?'

Lucas was shocked after reading the complete information about the spirit beast that was feeling shy to come out of the egg.

'So, it is basically a guardian in space to keep the energies in order.'

This was the conclusion that Lucas had come to after suppressing his shock.

He was not shocked at the fact that there were multiple worlds in this universe because he came from a world where there were no knights and mages.

So, it was entirely possible there were other worlds like firmament world, evil world and the world from his previous life etc.

'Also, it looks like it didn't have any attack type skills; other than absorbing the energies from the surroundings and corpses.'

Lucas made a mental note of where he should use this new spirit beast.

'I wonder if this skill 'Cosmic devourer' can help me fill my professional seas as I have a little too many seas in my body; however, there is not much information on the skill.'

Next, Lucas thought about the last system notification, where it asked him whether he wanted to make it as his tamed spirit beast to get one of its skills.

However, there was not much information on the skill and he didn't want to take any risk as of now.

'Anyway, let's close the spatial crack and get the rewards from my first disaster.'

It only took a few moments for Lucas to check everything as he came back to reality.

'Hiss'

As soon as the little spirit beast hiding in the egg received Lucas' order, it came out of the small hole of the egg.

It was a small purple coloured snake of less than 10 centimeters in length and around one centimeter in radius. Under the sunlight, its skin's purple colour changed from purple to yellow and yellow to red and then green.

Soon, the snake moved towards the edge of Lucas' finger before widely opening its mouth.

'Swoosh'

In the next second, all the black mist was sucked into the snake's mouth.

"What's happening? What is that spirit beast? How can it absorb my pure evil energy at such an incredible speed?"

As for the evil entity on the other side of the spatial crack, he was shocked to the core by the sudden increase in the absorption speed of the cosmic devouring snake.
