Ghost snake had already guessed that Lucas was definitely normal; however, after sensing that his talent was upgraded from Marquis grade to Duke grade within a few seconds without any pain, he felt he did the right thing in taking the gamble.

'Although he is still just a tier 3 lesser knight, he is capable of upgrading other people's talent. This is definitely Heaven's defying ability.'

'As long as I follow him, I can definitely take my revenge in the shortest time possible.'

Until now, Ghost snake was just trying to use Lucas and the Hellmore family; however, after seeing Lucas' heaven-defying ability, he decided to stay loyal to the young man in front of him to the very end.

As for why he called it a heaven-defying ability was because only the heavens could bestow or upgrade the talents.

Even though they are talent crystals, they were very rare and only available in the special dungeons or in special places that were even dangerous for tier 5 higher knights.

As for Lucas, he received a couple of system notifications and he was not surprised by the long-distance voice transmission because he already unlocked the same ability with Reece and Harper.

Even though Lucas could check the loyalty of his three followers who got 'Sovereign henchmen', Lucas wanted to warn Ghost snake about the consequences of betrayal.

Ghost snake nodded his head and he didn't doubt Lucas' ability to remove other people's talent.

"Good. I not only upgraded your talent but I also left my mark in your body. If you want to contact me, just think about it in your head and you can talk to me through the voice transmission no matter that distance between us."

Lucas continued to say one thing after another which mostly contained half lies; However, Ghost snake completely believed it after seeing Lucas' abilities.

'Long-distance voice transmission? I heard only Heavenly knight can do that? Don't tell me he is a reincarnated Heavenly knight.'

Ghost snake surprised only for a moment; however, after witnessing Lucas' abilities, he felt it was a normal thing to see the Dark ember fruits.

"Yes. Since you know about them, I guess you also know about their use, right? Take them and make good use of them."

Lucas was not surprised as Ghost snake was the ex guild leader of one of the branches of the assassin guild and he would be of course knowledgeable about them.

"Yes, family head. Thank you."

After thanking, Ghost snake disappeared rushed out of the barrier and disappeared into the distance.

'With Ghost snake, I can find out about the mysterious organization sooner than I thought.'

There was a particular reason why he made Ghost snake as his third henchmen because making Ghost snake raised in the assassin guild is easier.

Other than assassinating, the assassin guild excels in gathering the information and selling it to others. So, as long as Ghost snake becomes the head of all the assassin guilds in the Barren firmament, he would be one step closer to finding the information about the mysterious organization.

'Looks like their intel gathering is very good to be able to find out about the plan of the forces from the Alverton firmament.'

Lucas could not help but praise the intel of the assassin guild.

"Since I have one month time to prepare, I think I can finally go out for hunting in the wilderness."

Until an hour ago, Lucas was thinking of staying in the town until he settle the issue with the forces from the Alverton firmament; however, from Ghost snake he found they would come here in a month.

'To be on the safer side, I will train for 20 days in the wilderness and stay the remaining 10 days in the town.'

Nevertheless, he planned to stay in the wilderness for the 20 days as one could never say that they might come a few days earlier.

"For the next 20 days, I should focus on my Knight training to become a General Knight and gain two knight skills."

With a talent crystal from the [Prodigal son], Lucas could finally increase his talent to Earl grade and with earl grade talent, he could increase his Knight strength to tier 3 general knight.

'Should I take Beck with me this time?'
