Sovereign of the Firmaments

Chapter 176 - [Gift Box], [New Dungeon Boss]

'He said he will reach rank 3 within a year; however, he was not confident in reaching rank 4 in another couple of years after that.'

While walking back to the Raindrop manor, Lucas shook his head.

'Other than refining weapons, the Hellmore family should also focus on alchemy. Currently, I have a pill recipe; however, the youngsters have just started studying alchemy and it will take a long time. I need to find a good alchemy master for the Family.'

Lucas was always thinking about making his family powerful and having at least two or three masters in various professions is a must for a powerful family.

'But, for that, I have to venture to other towns which I can't do right now.'

Lucas knew that even though the royal family was not attacking him actively, it was still keeping an eye on him or others and waiting if they left the Silverstone town.

'I will let them study on their own for now.'

Lucas shook his head and thought to return back to his room to check out the [Exchange Platform].

'Open [Exchange Platform].'

As soon as he entered his room, Lucas opened the [Exchange platform] to trade with other system hosts.

[Sky vampire] is selling a [Scout Bat Eggs].

[Scout Bat eggs] hatches non-combat bats that could be used for scouting and danger prediction.

[Prodigal son] is selling a [Alchemy Building's Blueprint].

[Alchemy Building's Blueprint], it doesn't require more information, right?

[Silent Hermit] is selling a [Fertile soil].

[Fertile soil] increases the growing speed of the plants and herbs.

.

.

.

Soon, Lucas saw a list of system hosts selling their items and all the items had their own value; however, he already decided which item he had to buy.

'What do you want in exchange for the [Alchemy Building's Blueprint].'

Without wasting any time, Lucas contacted [Prodigal son] and asked for the price.

[Prodigal son]: What can you give?

[Lonewolf]: 10 Dark ember fruits.

[Prodigal son]: Deal.

[Lonewolf]: '...'

Lucas was speechless at how easily the other party agreed to the deal without any bargain.

'Did I give more? Absolutely, no.'

Lucas felt he got a nice deal from the [Prodigal son] and muttered, 'Looks like he is the real prodigal son'.

…..

Somewhere in the firmament world,

'Ding,

The host successfully used the [Exchange platform] without bargaining for ten times in a row.

'Ding,

A new feature 'Prodigal shop' is unlocked in the [Super prodigal system].

'Finally, I can spend the Prodigal points that I have been accumulating in the shop.'

A chubby young man wearing rich robes became excited when he heard the system notifications in his head.

Without checking the feature information, the young man knew what was the use of the new system feature because he was waiting for it for a while now.

'Among my ten deals, the previous nine trades were disasters as I lost so much. But the last trade with the [Lonewolf] guy was nice. I will send him a gift.'

Even though he didn't want to waste his resources, the young man had to finish the system mission to get the most useful system feature 'Prodigal shop'.

Among all his trades in the [Exchange platform], only Lucas gave a price that was neither low nor high, making his bleeding heart recover a little.

So, he wanted to gift him with something because gifting others will also give him Prodigal points.

'System, send the friend request to [Lonewolf].'

With that thought in his head, [Prodigal son] sent the friend request to Lucas.

….

In Lucas' room.

'Finally, I got the blueprint for the alchemy building.'

After seeing the effects of the Weaponsmithy, Lucas wanted an alchemy building as it will help the youngsters progress in their profession a little faster.

'Ding,

[Prodigal son] sent a friend request to the host. Do you want to accept it?

'Huh?'

Lucas was surprised with the sudden system notification as he didn't expect that the system hosts could send friend requests to other system hosts.

'Ding,

Only the system hosts who unlocked the system feature [Chat] can send the friend requests; however, there are other conditions that need to be met before someone could send the friend requests to others.

'Oh'

Lucas nodded his head in understanding as he looked at the name of the system host.

'I wonder why he is sending the friend request.'

However, he was unable to find out the reason for the sudden friend request.

'Ding,

The host didn't have to worry about others finding your personal details by becoming friends with the other system hosts.

'Ding,

Unless you tell them about your real name and your location, they can't find out your personal details.

As though the system had sensed Lucas' concerns, it explained a few more things, making Lucas nod his head.

'Let's accept it. It will be good if I find some information about the mysterious organization.'

Finally, Lucas accepted the friend request from [Prodigal son].

'Ding,

You became virtual friends with [Prodigal son].

'Ding,

A new system feature [Chat] is unlocked that can be used to chat with virtual friends.

'Just like I guessed, [Chat] is unlocked for me.'

Lucas knew to chat with his friends, he needed the [Chat] system feature and it unlocked the moment he accepted the friend request.

'Ding,

You can chat with virtual friends with the same name you have chosen for the [Fighting arena].

'Ding,

Please be careful and don't share personal details as one can never know the intentions of the other system hosts.

The system notifications continued to ring in Lucas' head and he was pleasantly surprised with the last system notification.

'Ding,

[Prodigal son] has sent a [Gift box] to the host. Do you want to open it?

'Damn…he is really a prodigal son. Gifting something just like that.'

With a slight smile on his face, Lucas opened the gift box.

'Ding,

The host received a [Earl grade Talent crystal (Knight)].

'Holy heavens….how rich is he to send away such an item?'

Actually, Lucas was not expecting much from the [Gift box] because who would gift a valuable item to a person that just met virtually?

However, after seeing the item, Lucas felt he had befriended a rich young master.

'What should I send him in return?'

For the current Lucas, he needed that talent crystal very much. So, he wanted to give something in return instead of just saying 'Thank you'.

However, when he checked his inventory, Lucas felt he was poor.

'I can send them the low-level spirit stones as he must have a lot of those stones and he didn't want to embarrass himself by sending them.'

Lucas searched through his inventory and finally, his eyes landed on something that made his eyes shine.

'Who the hell is poor? I must have more than a hundred rank 4 beast cores, right?'

During the past month, Lucas had hunted thousands of rank 4 spirit beasts and gave the corpses to the Corpse processing unit of the town.

'For now, I will send the single rank 4 beast core in my inventory.'

A rank 4 beast core is still a rare item. So, he decided to send it to the [Prodigal son].

[Prodigal son]: Thank you for the gift.

[Lonewolf]: Same.

[Prodigal son]: So, do you know anything about the system's origins?

[Lonewolf]: Nope. I wanted to ask you the same question.

[Prodigal son]: Oh

[Lonewolf]: However, I have something to ask you.

[Prodigal son]: Sure. Go ahead. As long as it is not personal information, I am fine with it.

[Lonewolf]: Do you know anything about the mysterious organization that kidnaps the young talents?

[Prodigal son]: I only heard they kidnap the young talents. Other than that, I don't know anything else.

[Lonewolf]: Okay.

[Prodigal son]: See you later.

[Lonewolf]: Bye.

Soon, the chat came to an end as Lucas was not good at it.

'Sigh.'

After ending the chat, Lucas sighed as he was unable to find out anything about the mysterious organization.

In the evening.

'Ding,

Do you want to use the Dungeon boss crystal?

Inside the dungeon, Lucas received a system notification in his head, to which he nodded his head.

It was an item that Lucas got from the system and forgot whether he got it from completing the system missions or buying from the store.

Overall, it was lying dormant in his inventory.

Actually, he wanted to use it when he claimed ownership of the dungeon; however, he was not in a good mood after the dungeon upgrade failed.

Later, he forgot about it until today, when he once again checked his inventory for a gift [Prodigal son].

So, he decided to use it and see which dungeon boss he would summon.

'Kacha'

As soon as he said that, the crystal in his head turned into dust and a summoning circle formed in front of Lucas.

'Swoosh'

Soon, a silhouette came out of the summoning circle; however, it was completely covered in the shining light blinding Lucas and the dungeon spirit Freda.

'Ding,

Congratulations to the host for successfully summoning a Dungeon boss 'Orc lord.

Before the light on the silhouette could disappear, Lucas received a system notification in his head, making Lucas heave a sigh of relief.

'Finally, it is done.'

The shining light covering the Orc lord disappeared and revealed the true appearance of the summoning dungeon boss.

The orc lord was three meters in height with complete green skin, four long teeth protruding out of his mouth. He was wearing the spirit beast skin with a huge battle axe on his back.

"Greetings, master."
