Soul for a Girlfriend?

Chapter 196 - Creepy Ginger Head

I was walking towards the cafeteria with Tsūmen, Gaisen and Kana next to me while straightening my crooked tie that the girl was pulling on. I have never been caught off guard like that, and my heart was still pounding rapidly.

"Saishi… who was that girl, bruh?" Tsūmen wrapped his hand around my shoulder and laughed as I replied with a slight nod, "Honestly, I've no idea…"

Leaning forward while tilting his head to express his confusion, he narrowed his eyes and asked in a baffled tone, "You're telling me that a random girl just walked up to you and kissed you?"

Staring at him for a while as I glanced around and noticed Gaisen and Kana to be staring at me intently too. With a sigh, as my shoulders slouched, I said, "You saw it happening in front of your eyes…"

Looking at our conversation, Kana just shook her head from left to right and with a silly smile on her face she commented, "Nah, but looking at that girl… she doesn't look like the type of girl Sakamaki would indulge with."

"See…" I let out a breath of relief as the situation was already more than enough to make me embarrassed and on top of it, Tsūmen's teasing was just overkill.

Nice save Kana!

She wasn't wrong at all. The girl seemed really outrageous to me if I was, to be honest. I was a rather calm and quiet type of guy, but she appeared to be a 'gal' since the way she was wearing her uniform was more than enough for me to assume..

Albeit, I shouldn't judge someone based on their attire, but her actions compliment my assumptions, so there was no reason for me to not 'judge'.

Recalling what happened a few moments ago, my body again froze up as my palms went cold and my heart wouldn't stop throbbing. It was way too much action for a guy like me. Clenching my jaws, I expressed my genuine feelings, "But it was weird you know…"

I noticed Tsūmen's eyes giving me a side glance as he chuckled and turned towards Gaisen while laughing, "Look at his face, Gaisen…"

Gaisen's eyes shifted towards me as he burst out laughing while pointing his right hand towards me and between his breaths, he said, "Man's out of his wits."

I just closed my eyes for a moment and let out a sigh, since this was quite sudden for me to comprehend. I was confused at that moment and a lot of things were flowing wildly throughout my mind.

A girl suddenly visited my class and kissed me in front of everyone. The kiss felt rather weird and wild, maybe because it was the first-ever kiss of my life, but her intentions were unclear. I wasn't worried because a girl kissed me, but rather because she ended the scene with a weird sentence.

'You're mine, that's all.'

What did she mean by that? If that was a prank or something, then they surely crossed the line. I can't imagine a girl like that coming up to me, professing her feelings for me but kissing me on the lips.

Also, the look in her eyes was really weird. It felt really superficial. Everything about that situation was really unnatural. Maybe I was overthinking a simple incident into something that wasn't even the case, but I need to look out for that person.

Creepy ginger head.

As I was immersed in my thoughts, the voice of Gaisen broke my train of thoughts as I looked towards him and he was staring at me with a curious look on his face. Noticing my gaze, he said, "But… I feel like I have seen her somewhere…"

"You know her?" Tsūmen asked as Gaisen said that, and he narrowed his eyes as it appeared like he was trying to recall. With a vague tone, he said, "She looks familiar…"

Well, since Gaisen was saying that, there was a pretty good probability that he did know that girl or had at least seen her somewhere. With a slight nod, I said, "I think you might know her since you have a pretty large friend circle."

An awkward smile formed on his face as, rubbing the back of his neck with his right hand, he said sheepishly, "I have to ask Koi, she might know."

Well, I understood why he reacted that way. It was already a month since they broke up, but it seemed like they were on talking terms and everything was fine between them. Well, that's what it seemed to the people who didn't know about their predicament.

As for me, I knew everything about them, so Gaisen would often get nervous around me while talking about Koi. Gaisen was probably a bit relieved since he was carrying an enormous burden with him since last year.

Even though it appeared like I was helping him, I had my own motives. Though in this ordeal, neither Gaisen nor Koi were at the short end of the straw, so it was a win-win for both of them.

My eyes glanced towards Tsūmen as a smug formed on his face and I could tell that whatever he was about, it wouldn't end well for me. Looking at him with an awkward smile, he continued while chuckling, "By the way, Saishi?"

"How was the kiss, dude?" He asked while doing a chef's kiss gesture with his hand as Kana and he laughed together and I just gave them a bored look without saying anything.

Raising his eyes, Gaisen pointed towards ear with his index finger and smirked, "Ora! Ora! Man's blushing…"

They sure were enjoying teasing me. I was getting more embarrassed with each passing second as their words were making the event sink in even deeper.

She even licked her lips after kissing me. What a weirdo!

Kana looked at me with curious eyes as there was a slight smile forming on her face, too. With a hint of surprise in her voice, she continued, "Saishi blushing… what a rare occurrence."

"I know right…" Tsūmen said while slapping my back playfully as we kept walking towards the cafeteria and I remained silent.
