Solo Player Arvin

Chapter 114 - -28<Palm Springs-3>

The most common reason for which Arvin suffered back on earth was that he was penniless. And he always had to struggle for basic things in his previous life because of it. But now as he had a lot of money for which he didn't have to work hard for, made his life quite easier. So he thought that he should reward himself with this expensive wine.

The mana stones were very precious but it was not like that he could not steal them again. He was sure that in the future he would be able to steal some more. And besides, he had no use for the mana stones right now. He needed to strengthen his magic circles casting. And he could not move forwards without strengthening that part. So Arvin didn't think before buying that wine.

Just a few minutes later that bartender returned with a bottle in his head. This bottle was a rather special bottle as it was shaped like an eagle. And that bottle had a detachable head. Seeing the shape of the bottle and the way that it opened made it look very fancy. Which Arvin liked very much.

That bartender then took out a wine glass and poured some wine in the glass and then passed it to Arvin. When Arvin got the glass filled with red liquid, first he took a whiff of the wine. It had a nice fragrant smell. It smelled something like daffodils. It was not very dense. Its viscosity was just like water. And then Arvin took a sip of that delicious stuff…

And he had to say that he was mesmerized by it. He would have lost himself in that liquid if it wasn't for the talk of the two youngsters that were sitting by Arvin hadn't had caught his attention…

"Are you kidding me? I wouldn't miss for a million whores. I would seriously like to see who in the world had enough courage to kill Alman." One of the youngsters said. This guy had long black wavy hair that he had tied with a ponytail.

"You have some weird taste." Said that girl that was sitting with that youngster. She was a cute girl with long light pink hair. She looked like she was an innocent little girl.

"So are you not interested in this scoop?" the boy asked the girl.

"No. That guy that killed him must have some sort of bumpkin. Otherwise, he wouldn't have killed that man." The girl said.

"I don't know. Killing a rank-1 Acolyte is not an easy feat." The boy said.

"Alman was an idiot. Maybe he just got lucky." The girl said.

"I don't about that. It seemed like an elaborate plan. And I don't think that it was done by some bumpkin. Didn't you hear that the poison that was used to kill Alman was an unknown poison? No bumpkin could just get that kind of poison just like that. I think this Merchant guy is a normal person. We just have to see who would win in the fight between him and General Ruth." The boy said.

"It is natural that General Ruth would win." The girl said with confidence.

Listening to their conversation, Arvin thought that this might be the right timing to ask some questions to these youngsters. Maybe he would be able to learn something new about Alman and his family…

"Excuse me…" Arvin said to the girl that was sitting beside him. The girl then looked back she saw that an old man was sitting at the bar had called out to her.

"Yes." The girl said.

"Pardon me, miss… I couldn't help but sort of eavesdrop on your conversation. Would you mind sorting out for me?" Arvin said.

As the girl listened to the old man's question she looked at him from upside down. He was wearing plain clothes. She tried to feel his power but strangely she was not able to do so. That meant that he was enough capable to hide his power. Which meant that this old man was very strong. As the old man asked politely she thought that maybe she should be polite too. After all, it was a far better option than offending a powerhouse.

"Yes…" the girl said.

"I couldn't help but hear the name 'Merchant' from your friend. So would you mind clarifying that are you guys talking about 'Merchant' or 'The Merchant'?" Arvin said.

"Who are you again?" The boy asked.

"Oh, pardon me… It was rude of me not to introduce myself. My name is wine seller." Arvin said.

"…" Both of them looked at the old man and tried guessing whether this old man was pulling their leg or that was his name.

"So what were you guys talking about. Were you talking about a normal merchant? Or were you talking about 'The Merchant'?" Arvin asked.

"Who is 'The Merchant'?" the girl asked.

"A very dangerous man," Arvin said.

"Do you know him?" the boy asked.

"No… I have not personally met him. But I have heard the feats that he and his organization had done. So I am just curious about your talk." Arvin said.

"What has he done?" the girl asked curiously.

"What floor are you guys from?" Arvin asked.

"Why?" the boy asked.

"Are you perhaps from a floor below the 10th floor?" Arvin asked.

"Yes." Both of them answered simultaneously.

"Then you wouldn't understand the significance of the things done by 'The Merchant.'. He is way above your league." Arvin said.

"He is that powerful?" the boy asked.

"Yes. Just like me, he is way beyond what you guys could comprehend. Which brings me to another question what is he doing here?" Arvin asked.

"How the hell are suppose to know that?" the boy said.

"Ok… Then if you don't mind could you tell me what 'The Merchant' had done here? If I remember correctly you were talking that he killed someone named Alman… Could you please elaborate on what exactly do you know about this murder?" Arvin asked…
