Shocking Venomous Consort: Frivolous Miss

Chapter 127 - Mu Liufeng Left Too

Chapter 127: Mu Liufeng Left Too

“All right, hurry along. Remember, don’t be arrogant and unruly when you shouldn’t be,” instructed Ling Chuxi. She knew this matter was serious.

“Got it. This means that when there is a time to be unruly and arrogant, then I should be. Don’t worry, master. I won’t bully people simply and I most definitely won’t let other people bully me,” said the fifth princess in a serious manner. She thought for a moment before continuing to speak, “Tell the hateful person that he owes me a drumstick. Tell him to remember, because I’ll come back to claim it.”

Ling Chuxi nodded her head helplessly.

Wei Dan and Wei Xin couldn’t help but overhear this conversation and both of them felt assured and embarrassed at the same time. How exactly did Ling Chuxi manage to teach the fifth princess?

Then, the fifth princess hurriedly left with Wei Dan and Wei Xin. She didn’t even manage to bid farewell to Ling Yichen and Xia Zhuoyi.

When Ling Chuxi walked into the canteen alone, Xia Zhuoyi was confused.

“Where’s that bratty girl?” asked Xia Zhuoyi using his personal nickname for the fifth princess.

“Something urgent came up at home so she had to leave. Perhaps she will return after she’s wrapped things up there,” replied Ling Chuxi.

“Oh,” said Xia Zhuoyi faintly as his gaze landed on a chicken drumstick atop a bowl of rice. He stayed silent as a thread of loneliness appeared in his eyes.

Ling Chuxi noted this and secretly smirked in her heart. The fifth princess and Xia Zhuoyi were truly the epitome of a love-hate couple. When they meet, they argued and when they didn’t, they missed each other.

After lunch, Ling Chuxi received news that greatly surprised her once more: Mu Liufeng had left. He had upped and left White Stone Academy just like that. He was no longer a teacher here. He didn’t bid anyone farewell and had simply vanished. The mask she had promised to make for him wasn’t even done yet, but he had left without saying a word.

No one knew where Mu Liufeng had gone and no one dared to ask. All they knew was that he had informed the principal directly of his decision and simply left without citing any reason.

Could this be somehow related to the assassination attempt on the emperor? Ling Chuxi frowned slightly as she contemplated this. Yet, she felt it was probably not so. Mu Liufeng’s gaze was one that showed he didn’t have such concerns.

“What are you thinking about, Chuxi?” asked Ling Yichen suddenly. Ling Chuxi had remained silent the entire time the two of them were walking. Thus, Ling Yichen could not take it anymore and decided to ask her what was on her mind.

“Huh? Oh, nothing much,” said Ling Chuxi as she shook her head gently. “Ah, that’s right. You’re at Level 6 Pinnacle stage right now, aren’t you, Yichen?”

“Yes, I am,” replied Ling Yichen with a slight frown and a troubled expression. He had plateaued at that level for some time without being able to breakthrough. He just couldn’t seem to get the right elements to come together at the right time for it to happen.

“Let’s find a time during the break to make you breakthrough,” said Ling Chuxi suddenly as she kept walking straight ahead. Her tone of voice was so calm and ordinary that it sounded as though she had offered to buy him a meal.

“What?” said Ling Yichen, stunned. He looked at Ling Chuxi’s retreating back and immediately rushed forward to catch up to her. What did she mean? It wasn’t as though one could breakthrough just by merely wanting to. Some people were stuck at a certain level’s Pinnacle stage for ten or twenty years, and some were not able to breakthrough at all for their entire lives. Breaking through to the next level was an opportunity that was difficult to come by. It wasn’t something that could be achieved by mere desire or hard work. But now, Ling Chuxi was speaking such words in such a relaxed tone. This made Ling Yichen a little perplexed.

“When does break start?” asked Ling Chuxi as she looked at Ling Yichen.

“The day after tomorrow” replied Ling Yichen. The way it worked at White Stone Academy was that students had classes for seven days straight before getting a two-day break.

“Okay, that works. Let’s make a trip the day after tomorrow then,” said Ling Chuxi as she came to a decision.

“Chuxi, do you even know what you’re saying?” enquired Ling Yichen hesitantly as he frowned slightly.

“Of course, I do,” said Ling Chuxi as she turned to look at Ling Yichen with a smile. “I said I would be able to help you breakthrough, so I will definitely be able to help you breakthrough!”
