Rise of The Anti God

Chapter 505 - Taking Hostage

"You are more foolish than I thought!" Luna snickered as she suddenly disappeared from her spot and appeared before one of the Yohr's and plunged her sword through one of his heads.

"HISSSS!!" Yohr hissed in pain as he felt a sharp stinging sensation that made him feel like his head was being seared by her sword. He never thought her spirit sword would still be so powerful despite her soul being so broken.

And the next moment, the other nine Yohr's disintegrated into water and evaporated away, leaving behind the real Yohr, who had one of his head's punctured as blood profusely gushed out.

Damien was astonished to see how quickly Luna managed to find the real body, more like instantly.

He felt that she was too overpowered even in such a fragile and weak state and couldn't imagine how strong she must have been in her prime.

But Damien got distracted when he suddenly saw Yohr's large body disappear from the spot, and Luna suddenly shouted as she looked in her direction with a frantic expression, "Damien, look out!"

Damien was surprised by the sudden turn of events, but he immediately understood that he was in danger and was about to flash forward towards the other side using his Mirage of Myriad Phantasms skill but suddenly saw a large muscular tail enveloping his stomach and holding him tightly in his spot, immobilizing him completely.

"Where do you think you are going, little mortal, hisss…." Yohr said in a menacing tone as he appeared behind Damien. He could only think of the most efficient solution to deal with Luna while minimizing his losses no matter how shameless the method might be.

Damien felt all the hairs on his body standing on their ends, and as he twisted his head around to look at this large five-meter tall nine-headed snake, he was shocked to see that the wound on one of its heads was already rapidly healing.

With such healing powers, can Luna kill him?

But right now, Damien was even more concerned about his situation, unable to even move an inch, and all his struggles felt like a ripple on a large ocean.

He knew it was pointless, but he couldn't help but unconsciously try since he refused to die here.

Luna's expression became taut the moment she saw Damien getting trapped by Yohr, and even if it was for a moment, Yohr didn't miss out on Luna's reaction and smiled inwardly as he said, "Ethereal One, I have your precious mortal in my grasp. Just a slight tug from my end, and all his bones would shatter immediately, and all that would remain would be a bloody paste. But…I can spare his life as long as you accept my 'generous' offer."

Yohr was not an idiot and knew this mortal was special in some way to the Ethereal One and guessed that she wouldn't want him to die. Otherwise, why would she choose a mortal than accept his offer and even get back her soul shard?

Since he found it hard to deal with the Ethereal One even in her weak state, he still didn't want to go all out without trying other methods, especially holding Damien hostage.

Damien never expected that this god would lower himself to hold a mortal like him hostage and be used against Luna. Didn't gods have dignity, at least a little that would make themselves feel ashamed for dealing with a mortal personally?

This was something he hated the most, but at the same time, the feeling of helplessness he was feeling and was unable to even utter a word. He knew he was being completely locked down by Yohr, and it seemed that he was being wary about Damien having some more hidden tricks.

He already had the shocker of his life seeing that the Ethereal One was residing in this mortal boy all this time, though he wondered where she was before that since this boy was merely sixteen years old.

"Master!" Kalypso shouted in worry seeing that Damien was completely immobilized, and there was no telling when Yohr would snap him into two. Damien was now no different than a matchstick at the mercy of an iron clamp.

Luna had an expressionless face as she looked in Damien's direction, and Damien couldn't guess what she was thinking. Would she put herself in danger for him? But Damien didn't want that since he knew against someone like Yohr, it was futile.

"You have five seconds to decide, Ethereal One…1…2…" Yohr started to count with a malevolent glint in his eyes while Luna's eyes flickered as the swords in her hands began to tremble slightly, making one wonder if she was feeling angry for getting blackmailed or because of something else.

"You really have some nerve Yohr. Have you forgotten who or what you are before taking a mortal hostage?" Luna asked in a frigid tone.

Yohr laughed, "Ha! It doesn't matter what I am if I can't get back my true powers and be doomed to die in this filthy realm. And for that I am willing to do whatever it takes. I am sure you would have done the same as well given the right circumstances."

"How despicable," Luna said with a disgusted expression as she wrinkled her nose, as if she felt disgusted since Yohr tried to compare her with himself. This made Yohr feel even mode indignant and angry since he could clearly see how much contempt she had for him, despite his status and power.

Even if Damien's mouth was sealed, Luna was still connected to his soul, and so he said, "Luna, don't do it."

"Shut up!"

Damien was taken aback by her sharp reply, but he wasn't surprised about her being angry since he was only making things tough for her. But at the same time he didn't know what to say, other than feeling sad and indignant about the fact that he was going to die here. He felt that Luna wouldn't compromise herself and let some other god hold advantage over her because of him since she had way more to lose compared to him.

For the first time, his determination to become someone more than just a mortal became even more than before. He realized because of the Origin Seed inside him, he was destined to come upon these otherworldly beings that could shatter his life with just a thought, and this was the first time he was experiencing it first hand. He never had to face a god before who was not hesitant to kill him.

'So this must have how that god must have felt like…' Damien suddenly realized that a god like Yohr had played with his past life, making him kill all those people, and realized how easy it must have looked for that god.

"…4…and…5…time's up, Ethereal One!" Yohr said with a manic chuckle, and Luna clenched her sword tightly as she parted her lips to say something, and Yohr eagerly hissed to know what Luna was going to say.
