Rise of The Anti God

Chapter 208 Valentina And Damien

Everyone was stupefied seeing the affectionate scene happening between an ethereal beast and a human. They had never witnessed such a scene before in their lives.

Even if it were a tamed ethereal beast, no one would be gutsy enough to risk their lives by trying to hug a bloodthirsty ethereal beast and even kiss it.

What they were seeing was something so unimaginable and incredible. But what shocked everyone the most was Valentina's frightening transformation.

How could an ethereal beast change its form or even increase its size to a terrifying size? No one knew any ethereal beast that could transform and change its size.

They thought Valentina was only just a cute cat with some strength that could probably make quick attacks and move fast with her small body. But what they saw was something they never even could imagine in their dreams.

And the second most shocking thing was her fearsome and horrific strength, having the ability to overpower someone who was nine levels stronger than her easily!

Even Damien gulped, thinking that he never stood a chance against her, and she went too easy on him and pretended to give him a fighting chance. Now that he thought about it, he knew she could have one shot him anytime and how much terribly he underestimated her.

The only thing he could have probably done was run so fast, not allowing her to touch him. But it was not like he could keep running forever.

He didn't realize her prowess improved by so much after her transformation, and it seemed more like she evolved. Now he understood why Luna said he had absolutely no chance if he fought against her ethereal beast form.

He was now completely convinced that Valentina has extraordinary origins even if he didn't consider Luna's words of her probably being a divine ethereal beast.

When he stroked her limbs before, he could feel the immense power packed inside the muscles of her forelimbs. He was sure she could be the absolute ruler of ethereal beasts, the Queen among them.

Triton sighed and ordered some people to carry away the half-dead Drake and give some healing pill to him.

Yara Haley's heart couldn't slow down, thinking that she was playing and cuddling with such a fearsome ethereal beast all along. She even tried to pull its ears and cheeks and the various nicknames she called it.

Sweat trickled down her temples as she thought what would have happened if Valentina got ticked off by her annoying blabber.

She wasn't worried about her brother as they were never really close, and Drake was only her half-brother.

Other than picking fights with her, Drake was practically a stranger to her.

But not only her, everyone felt envious of Damien for having such a powerful and protective ethereal beast who would do anything to protect its master. But they had no idea that the relationship between Damien and Valentina was even more deep-rooted than they imagined.

Triton felt a headache thinking about the whole thing. He knew Drake was in the wrong for being a sore loser and trying to backstab Damien. But he didn't know how to explain this to Drake's family.

Yara Haley saw Triton's stressed expression and walked towards him, "Master Triton, you don't need to worry about this. I will talk to my family and tell them what really happened."

Triton felt a bit more relieved hearing Yara Haley's assurance and said with a soft smile, "Thank you, Yara. I should have stopped them before things became this worse."

Yara Haley shook her head, "It's not Master Triton's fault. Hmph, it's all cause my stupid brother doesn't know to eat a loss. Whew, but I never imagined Talia to be so powerful. Master Triton, what do you think about her? Have you ever heard of such a powerful and mystic ethereal beast? Every time I see her beautiful red eyes, I can feel that she is very special and very intelligent as well. I am sure not even the most powerful ethereal beasts in this world can compare to her intelligence."

Triton nodded, "I know, but no matter how much we want to, we can only know whatever Damien tells us. He said his master gave him Talia, but we don't even know who or where his master is. We also don't know if he is telling the truth. Anyway, those things don't matter as long as he helps us."

Triton's eyes flashed as he saw the loyal and faithful ethereal beast and its master having a warm moment.

Valentina transformed back to her small cat form and climbed atop Damien's shoulders, closing her eyes for a rest to cool down her mind.

She was still feeling angry for not being able to finish off Drake. She would not absolutely forgive anyone who tried to harm Damien, and this was the second time she had to let go of her prey.

However, Damien told her that she need not worry about killing them as those who are supposed to die will die soon enough.

Valentina understood that she couldn't go around killing whomever she wants to without thinking about the consequences. But, she inadvertently lets her emotions and feelings always get the better of her.

Damien told her that if one can't kill their enemies in public, then they should do it in the shadows to not attract attention to themselves. Or one can wait till they are strong enough to kill their enemies without worrying about any consequence.

Damien assured Valentina that such a time would come for them where they don't have to walk as if they are treading on thin glass.

He understood that Valentina found it very hard to control her emotions, especially her anger, and told her that he would always be there to make sure she doesn't do anything she might regret.

Damien walked towards Triton, who had his brows furrowed, deep in thought. Damien knew Triton must be thinking about how to solve this whole mess.

Triton saw Damien walking towards him, and he saw Valentina staring at him menacingly as if she was still pissed off that he tried to stop her.

"Is things going to be alright? I did my best to ignore Drake, but you know he is just a nail that will keep digging deeper if we don't take it out." Damien wondered if the Haley Family would be on to him for almost killing their genius.

He already had the Clive and Rivers Family to take care of, and one more would just be a headache to him.

Yara Haley said as she patted her chest, "No need to worry, Damien. I will talk to my mother and let her handle this. I am sure she can convince my father. But tsk tsk, Drake's not going to be happy, especially with his scarred face. I wonder how many healing pills it would take for a complete recovery."

Damien was relieved that at least Yara Haley was on his side instead of being angry with him or Valentina for almost killing her brother. He had already guessed that they were not close, but only now he realized that most of the siblings in this world didn't have strong bonds.

As most powerful families had lots of children, they saw their siblings as enemies vying for the inheritance. They wouldn't even hesitate to get rid of or kill each other just to become the patriarch of the family.

'Sigh, such a ruthless world.' Damien inwardly sighed, thinking that at least the sibling relationships in his previous life were stronger than the fragile ones in this world.

"Well, I will then head home. It's been a long day." Damien said with a weary sigh.

"Wait." Triton called out and continued, "Damien, can you continue to teach the silver rankers? Anyway, their teacher is indisposed, and we don't have anyone else good as you among the silver rankers."

"Pleaseee, come on, Damien. At least for me, your friend? Since Valentina is my friend, I am yours as well. You know one should not shy away from helping out their friends."

Damien chuckled, "Okay, fine. I will teach you all."

The other silver rankers' eyes sparkled hearing Damien's words as inwardly they were hoping that Damien would be assigned as their teacher. Anyway, Drake was out of commission, and they doubted if he would have the guts to rechallenge Damien.
