Reincarnated as a Dog with System

Chapter 112 - Loophole Part1

After a lot of sign language, growling, and waving paws around…

"So this mana core is powerful but dangerous?" Lu Chen chuckled while ruffling his hair. The two standing next to him also had weird expressions on their faces.

It felt like all of them had just played a game with the dog while the world outside was burning and the matter in question was quite serious.

Nevertheless, Qin Hua was satisfied that she at least managed to convey something.

[Yes. Yes. Woof!] She tiredly nodded and walked away. She still had a lot of training to do and that was far more interesting than this dumb guessing game.

Besides, Qin Hua knew that Lu Chen would never use the mana core himself as he had firsthand witnessed what happened to Su Yan. So she wasn't too worried about it..

She quietly went back to the entrance and started casting more dark arrows.

After she left, the three looked at the mana core cautiously and Lu Chen was the first to speak. "So… like I said… Su Yan went into his unconscious state after absorbing a mana core like this."

"Little white just told us that it might give us some benefits but there are going to be risks. Since you both found this core, I will leave it to you two to decide what you want to do with it."

Lu Chen as well went back to his corner and started practicing his ice magic manipulation once again. He decided not to worry about these special demonic cores as he just couldn't afford to take risks right now.

His friend, his family, his friend's family, and lastly little white were all depending on him, so he knew that he was in no position to take any risks.

Alex and Xiao Ming, both looked at the demonic core and then silently went back out, leaving it behind inside the hotel lobby.

After all, they were on watch and they didn't have to make this particular decision just yet.

The night continued on silently for a few more hours and just before daybreak, Qin Hua suddenly woke up with a bad feeling.

She looked at the cat that was lazily resting on her and sleeping. [Lazy chunky! Did you wake me up? Woof!]

However, before she could push it off of her, she suddenly got a very bad feeling.

That coupled with the fact that the cat was basically a walking luck symbol, Qin Hua decided not to ignore it or any other gut feeling she had.

She decided to take a quick look outside just to check out the perimeter once to be on the safer side. She dashed around here and there for a while but nothing seemed to be out of place.

She closed her elegant feral eyes and completely focused on the surroundings using all of her enhanced senses. She stood there for a few seconds and still she couldn't sense anything abnormal.

Hmmm… Qin Hua slowly padded her paw back into the hotel lobby in deep thought as she was not yet satisfied and still felt like there was something wrong. There was an unsettling feeling at the back of her mind.

She touched the hotel lobby door open and when she was about to enter, she casually looked up…

Dawn was breaking and the morning sky was a beautiful lavender smeared with hues of yellow and orange. It looked even more breathtaking than the usual as if they were all in a magical world.

Fluffy clouds which looked pure and warm, the yellow of the sun scattered across, it was truly the most beautiful thing Qin Hua had even seen, of course, except for the thick mass of black ominous swarm lingering directly above the hotel they were staying in.

Qin Hua almost staggered at the sight. The damn mosquitoes!

She barely had a couple of seconds to think when the swarm started descending and the black mass soon started swirling around the hotel like a tornado of insects.

The cluster of insects which she wasn't even able to sense started flying down in high speed akin to bullets. It all happened in an instant before she could even blink.

Such high agility! Qin Hua gasped.

She threw her head back and let out a loud howl, immediately alerting everyone present inside. At the same time, she also started crazily casting her skills one after the other.

[Majestic Roar]

[Fenrir's Rage]

[Sprint]

[Rip]

[Maul]

[Leech Bite]

[Chaos Ball]

She spammed her skills and dashed around, trying to take down as many mosquitoes as possible but there were simply too many of them.

Even as fast as she was moving, the insects completely enveloped her. She thrashed around, killing dozens as she swiped her paws, but as soon as she cleared a layer, another layer popped up.

As if this wasn't enough, there weren't just mosquitoes. There seemed to be all sorts of smaller insects in the mix.

<Ding. You have been poisoned by Venomous Vampiric Mosquito>

<Ding. Your health drops by 2 every second>

<Ding. You are bleeding and your health drops by 1 every second>

<Ding. You have been poisoned by Angry Flying Lice>

<Ding. Your health drops by 2 every second>

<Ding. You have been bitten by a Flying Black Ant>

<Ding. You are bleeding and your health drops by 1 every second>

<Ding. You have been bitten by a Flying Three-headed Flee>

<Ding. You are bleeding and your health drops by 1 every second>

<Ding. You are bleeding and your health drops by 1 every second>

<Ding. You are bleeding and your health drops by 1 every second>

Qin Hua was completely terrified.

While she dealt with the mess in the front, the other ones at the back bit her in the ass and she wasn't able to dodge them at all.

While each individually was like a speck of dust in front of her, their combined attacks were nothing short of lethal.

If she slipped up even for a second, it was highly possible that she might just get one-shotted by a bunch of damned tiny pests!
