Chapter 794: The World Of Belda Part 2

Chapter 794: The World Of Belda Part 2

“And so begins your story as the young hero who wishes to save the world.” The robot finally finished the entire background story.

With a bright flash of light, Kana was forced to close her eyes. When she opened them again, to her surprise, the whole room she was in changed, creating an entirely different world. Not only that, she was no longer standing up but was now lying down.

When she went to get up, she found she couldn’t move anything but her hands. Instead, a small window popped up with text and two buttons on it. [Would you like to get up?]

Kana frowned and hit the yes button. Her body began to move out of her control as she pulled the blanket down and stood up. She blushed slightly because her clothes were nowhere to be seen! “What is this!?”

Feeling very uncomfortable, Kana walked over to the oddly shaped ovalish dresser in the room and pulled on one of the drawers. But instead of opening, another menu popped up, asking her if she wished to search the dresser. At this point, Kana was becoming aggravated. She hit yes, but instead of the drawer actually opening, a menu with a bunch of items popped up.

Luckily it was all her normal clothes which she quickly looted. They did not appear in the real world but were moved to another screen which was her inventory. Only from there was she allowed to put them on. At this point, Kana was really getting sick of all the windows and pop ups. “Hey, robot guy! Can you make it, so I do not have to use the stupid windows!?”

“No. This is how World Of Belda was created.” Kana pouted, hearing this as she hit the dresser next to her, only for a window to pop up saying Immortal object on it. Just seeing it made her wack it a few more times.

She was about to walk out of the room when she stopped. “Since this is a game, I should probably  check the rest of the room, right?”

Kana began walking around the room, poking and probing this and that. From a nightstand, she got a health point. From a poster on the wall, she got twenty gold. Why the poster had twenty gold, Kana did not know and did not care. It was not until she walked over to a set of pots that a new message popped up. [Pick up?]

Kana hit yes and picked up the pot, causing another menu to pop up. [Smash?]

Kana grinned and hit yes, causing her body to throw the pot hard against the wall. It smashed into the wall, causing fragments to fly everywhere. Some even hit her. [-1HP]

“Why!? It didn’t even hurt!” Kana frowned but picked up the key that fell. She looked it over only to trigger some new window that told her what it was. [Basement Key]

Kana stuck the key into her inventory and exited the room after another series of windows, asking her if she wished to open and close the door. She checked out the other rooms and got a few more items and gold before heading downstairs. She figured since she had to at least get to the halfway point of the game, she would make sure she had all the items needed.

Kana still did not see the real point in this, but she continued anyway. She made her way through the house, lotting this and that until she finally arrived at the door in the kitchen that seemed to lead to the basement. She took out the key and used it on the door. As soon as she did, it disappeared. She walked down into the basement that looked more like a dungeon to find a bunch of barrels that she could bash up, so she bashed them! After bashing them all, a door appeared on one of the walls. She opened up and entered to find three treasure chests.

“Oh? Is this where I will find the legendary sword Excalibur?” Kana mused as she walked over to the first chest and opened it. [Rusty Sword]

“….”

With a sigh, Kana picked up the sword and equipped it since she had no weapon at this time. Her real weapon seemed to have disappeared. After opening the other two chests, one had a life renew potion, which was like an extra life, and the other was a high potion.

She left the basement and finally exited the house. She found that the house was a small cottage on top of a hill with flat grassy plains all around it. With some small bushes here and there.

Kana walked around the houses only to find she could use her sword to mow down the small little bushes and taller grass to find gold coins and some random material type items. She made sure to clear the area well before leaving the hill. It was only then that she finally came upon her first enemy.

A small blue ball of jello. “Really, a slime!?”

The slime did not even try to do anything to her as she walked over to it and poked it with her rusted sword. It popped like a balloon and dropped a blue gem. On top of that, she also got a message telling her she gained some experience points. Seeing this, Kana knew she would need to grind out a few levels before trying to fight anything too high of a level. Luckily the game had a level notification above the monsters with a health bar, making it easier for her to know the monster’s level.

But the only thing she did not know was how long this game would last for. She also knew she had no time for rest. She had to grind out levels quickly and progress further into this strange game that seemed to have no meaning to it. While the temptation to learn how to use god runes was high, at the same time, she was only limited to six months in the mystic realm. So for her, every second counted.
