Chapter 762: Leagues Behind

Chapter 762: Leagues Behind

The old man wanted to find this source of chaos element before it fell into the wrong hands. If someone was able to actually make use of this chaos element, it could mean another powerful being rising. Whether they would be a friend or a foe was another story. But one thing was for sure, only a few people would be able to deal with that person, and this was including himself. If that person was able to reach Eden, then things would really get messy. With these thoughts in mind, the old man was much more in a hurry than before. “Kana, I will stop blocking the heavenly laws of this land. I wish you and your family good luck.”

“Alright, thank you for checking on Ako for me.” Kana bowed her head in thanks, and seconds later, she felt all her power drained from her body once more. She frowned and flicked her hand, causing a small black ball to appear in front of her. She still had her death element, but it was now using her spiritual qi and could not use it for long periods of time.

“It is no problem. I wish you good luck. I will be watching over you all.” Saying goodbye, the old man disappeared. He was heading to the location Kana told him about.

Kana walked back to the house in the mountain to find her family all clenching their fists and frowning. “We should head back to the sect. Elder Ning, I will need your help in protecting my family.”

“Ye-yes, of course.” Elder Ning nodded. He did not dare let anything happen to Kana’s family, or he was afraid that old man would come back and make it so he couldn’t even reincarnate.

“Mama, I will be going with you as well. Out of everyone here only, I am not restricted. I am only restricted in the soul realm. ” Angelica was truly stronger than anyone else in the room right now.

“Then I will be counting on you to protect your sisters.” Kana smiled and rubbed Angelica’s head. She then turned to Aoi and the rest. “Aoi, I guess you will all be heading out on your journey as well.”

“We will follow you until we reach the sect you are going to before leaving. Umm… Kana, are you taking Kori?” Aoi asked as she rubbed the top of Kori’s head. She had taken a liking to the little girl.

“Mmm… If you think she needs more training then she can go with you but…. Please watch over her. But Aoi, will she get in the way of your training?” Kana asked.

“No. As an ice elemental, she has a good affinity with water as well. It will even allow her to grow stronger by going back to her roots.” Aoi wanted Kori to grow strong quickly so she can really be of help to Kana. She also knew this is what Kori wanted as well.

“Then I will leave her to you.” With Kori’s training set, Kana turned and looked at her family. “Ready?”

“As ready as we can be. To think I would feel so weak.” Creige frowned. He did not like feeling weak. He felt he had to be the strongest one in the family so he can support his wife and kids and protect them from the wind and rain. But now, he felt so weak that if the wind blew too strongly, he would blow over.

“You will regain your strength quickly. For now, let’s head back to the sect and begin our cultivation. I got something good that will help all of you quickly rise in rank.” Kana did not forget the huge spirit stone she found when she met Kori. That would be perfect for her family to cultivate around. This way, even if they were cultivating day in and day out, they could at least be still together. “Also, Angelica. Did the old man give you spirit stones?”

“Yes, he gave me everything I will need for both demon cultivation, regular, and beastkin. He told me I should stay in the soul realm as much as possible and strengthen my soul.” After deciding on the plan for everyone’s cultivation, the old man had made a separate plan for Angelica. Because of her unique abilities, he felt it would be bad for her to not stay in the soul realm and cultivate there than to leave it mainly because she can still get in fighting practice within the soul realm.

“Okay. Then let’s head out.” Kana grabbed Yana’s and Rain’s hands and pulled them along with her as she marched out of the house. Outside, Elder Ning had already gathered the other disciples and told them they were now heading out as well.

With so many, Elder Ning hoped nothing would go wrong. They still had to make their way through the mountain back down to the forest, where many poisonous demonic beasts were waiting. He figured it would probably be best to take it slow and walk around everything as many demonic beasts as possible.

He was already prepared for a longer trip. But after a few days from the time they entered the swamp, Elder Ning was sweating profusely. This was not because of some demonic beasts or some kind of powerful enemy, it was the pure bloodlust pouring off the five people behind him. They had not run into a single demonic beast this entire time. And this was all due to these five people. It was just that this same bloodlust was also weighing down on himself and the others. Elder Ning was starting to think that this was some kind of new spiritual qi. A murderous aura that could suppress even the mighty demonic beasts.

Elder Ning sighed and looked at the other disciples, who all looked like lambs who were waiting to be slaughtered. They kept their heads low and did not speak a sound, unlike how rowdy they were on the way here. Elder Ning wondered if this was too much of a shock for them. Knowing that they were leagues behind Kana and her family.
