Reborn As A Dragon Girl With A System

Chapter 741: Kori

Chapter 741: Kori

“How?” The little girl asked. Her big ice blue eyes looked up at Kana from Kana’s embrace. She wanted to know more about this young woman. She felt…. Comfortable with her.

“I am what is called the Goddess of Life and Death. Although I still do not know how to use my life element, I have had the death element inside me for as long as I can remember. You can say I am a person who has lived thousands upon thousands of lives. I am someone who really can’t die. Although I will probably forget about my past lives, I will always be reborn as a new me and live another life. Only this life that I am currently living has allowed me to find people who love me for me and care about me. My other lives were full of tragedy, heartache, and loneliness. So I know more than anyone what it is like to have no one, and at the same time, I know what it is like to have a family who loves and cares for you.” Kana answered.

The little girl looked at Kana, her emotions were a mess. She never thought this young woman had such a tragic past or pasts. She felt like if anyone could help free her from this life of loneliness, only this young woman in front of her would be able to do it. “Will…. Will you take me with you?”

“You want to come with me?” Kana asked. She knew what the little girl said, but she had to confirm it for herself.

The little girl hugged Kana tightly and nodded her head. “Mmm… you are warm….”

“Then…” Kana was about to ask the little girl to form a contract with her, but before she could, a large magic circle formed under the two of them. Kana knew this circle very well. She smiled and patted the little girl’s head.

On a spaceship that looked to be made of metal bones on the other side of the universe, a man sitting on a throne of bones within the ship suddenly stood up. “Who dares to take I, the Lord of Darkness’s things!? Prepare to set out, set course for planet c-4586732.”

The Lord of Darkness sat back down, his expression on his sunken in face was not good. He had found an elemental spirit and placed it on a planet no one ventured to. Only he had a way to escape the laws of that world. But someone from some backwater planet dared to form a contract with the ice spirit he had painstakingly been cultivating after all these years!? There was no way he would allow such a thing to happen.

At the same time, within the void, Misaki, who was staring at the new equipment that Eie had created, saw a red dot popup on it. “Hmmm? Someone is heading to the planet that Master is on?”

“Misaki, is something wrong?” Bell walked over and asked. She had just happened to be walking by her when she heard Misaki talking to herself.

“There is a ship of some kind heading this way. Although it is still on the other side of the universe. Hey! Hey! Young Miss, do you think something on that ship will rub servos with me?” Misaki asked, her eyes brimming with anticipation.

“This….” Bell really had no idea how to answer this horny robot.

“Bell, ignore her. Misaki, didn’t I make you a husband? Why are you still wanting to rub servos with others? Actually, never mind, let me see what is going on.” Eie flew over and looked at the screen when she saw the ship that had entered a warp field heading to the planet Kana was currently on, she frowned. “Bell, get everyone together and prepare for battle just in case. If this ship is discovered, we will fight until our last breath. Kana is currently trapped on that world from what the old man said, so we can not rely on her. We have to protect this ship as it is the only home she can return to. Sadly if they enter that world, we can not help her….”

“It’s fine. Mama is the strongest, no one can defeat her. How long until the ship arrives?” Bell asked.

“Depends on how quickly they can travel through the wormhole. They don’t seem to be bending space and time, so their tech is not advanced in the way of propulsion. I will need to wait and see what their speed is as they travel. I will send you a message later, just be ready for anything. They might even be in a place where they can’t jump.” Eie had systems that reacted to space time fluctuations around the planet Kana was on. Her system would detect them and then use the data to trace back to the ship that caused the fluctuation and mark it so the system could then follow its movements. It was a complex system, but Eie created it out of curiosity when she saw one ship pop out of nowhere and fly by them.

Back on the planet, unaware of the happenings in space. Kana had already stored the large spirit stone in her storage box and planned to use it to cultivate with later. She held the little girl who she now called Kori, the Japanese name for ice, and walked out of the ice filled room. Wherever they walked, ice formed. Only Kana was unaffected by it. No matter how hard Kori tried, she could not control her own power. Kana did not mind since her death element was doing the same. Kana walked back to the fork and turned to take the left passage that led up. She could feel a draft coming from within it, meaning there was an exit she could use to go higher up the mountain.

Kana figured she would handle her mission first before checking out the rest of the cave to see what was used to cause the cave entrance to be blocked from this world’s inhabitants. If she could take a look at the technology, she may be able to use it for her own purposes. She also wondered if there was a technology that would allow her to leave the planet. Not that she wanted to leave so soon due to her needing to actually stay here to gain more power. But she would not mind letting Aoi and the others out on the ship before coming back to do her thing.
