Reborn As A Dragon Girl With A System

Chapter 732: Repent

Chapter 732: Repent

Elder Ning stepped back. He knew Kana was very mad. The strange energy inside her was starting to boil over. But it seemed the young man did not sense any of this as he began laughing mockingly. “So what if I want to kill you? You are nothing but a little qi condensation monster who can’t even hurt a fly. If I want you to die, you must die, it’s that simple.”

Elder Ning sighed as he tried to stop things before they got out of hand. He looked at the guards surrounding the young man and said: “I suggest that you bring your young master away. My Moon Crest Academy will not be held responsible for any death of your only heir.”

“This….” The guards looked at each other. Hearing Elder Ning say, his Moon Crest Academy, they finally realized who he was.

“Elder Ning, it’s too late. You said it yourself, this world is not a nice world. People die all the time and for the stupidest reasons. I, for one, will not allow anyone to threaten my life. Because my life doesn’t just belong to me.” It was true. Her life was not her own. It belonged to her handsome husband and her babies. She lived for them. They were her reason to keep moving forward.

Hearing Kana’s words, Elder Ning could only helplessly nod his head, agreeing with what she said. “That is true. Those who wish to cause you harm should be dealt with swiftly and quickly.  I will say no more you may do as you please.”

At the same time Elder Ning spoke, the others who had followed behind them arrived on the platform. Elder Ning turned around and quickly waved his hand, sending them away from Kana. He then sent a message to them all through voice transmission: “Watch and learn. There are some things in the world that can not be explained and that are more terrifying than you would ever imagine.”

Elder Ning hoped this would be a good chance for those who would seek out Kana to fight would forget such thoughts, especially now that she could not control the power within her. He did not wish to see a generation of genius disappear out of pride.

Ming Xiafan and the others were all confused and turned to look at Kana. Her hair was fluttering when there was no wind, and a strange black fog was starting to swirl around her. “In my life…. I have killed numerous people. Some by accident, some because they needed to die. In this world, it seems to be a place filled with people like you. Arrogant and think they are above all. Never thinking that they would one day piss off the wrong person. Then you will die without even knowing how you died. But rest assured….. I will allow you to realize your mistake as you wither away into nothingness.”

“What the hell are you talking about? You are nothing but a weak monster! Guards kill her!” The young man did not seem to be fazed by Kana’s words at all, but in truth, he did feel a slight chill and fear from Kana. But his pride refused to allow such feelings to consume him.

The guards who actually felt fear gritted their teeth and charged forward. They had no choice but to follow their young master’s orders, or they would die either way. Although the young girl in front of them was not very strong, they still felt something was off. They would soon learn that not giving in to their fears and running away would be the last thing they would ever do.

Kana’s voice suddenly echoed out over the entire area as if some goddess had spoken a law that ruled the world. “I am death, and death is me….”

She raised her hand and waved it gently like a warm breeze as it passed by the guards who were charging towards her. Those same guards seemed to be acting as if time stopped as they all froze mid run as stiff as statues.

“What are you doing!? What is wrong with you!?” Fear was finally starting to consume the young man as he looked at the guards, who were not moving.

He watched fearfully as Kana walked over to the guard closest to her and blew on the guard’s face. Everyone present watched in horror as the guard’s body turned to dust and fell to the ground like a pile of sand. Kana turned her gaze towards the young man. Her black eyes, which seemed like a deep dark abyss, locked on to the young man who was stumbling backwards, his mouth opening and closing as he pointed at Kana.

“Don’t worry…. You will get to feel what fear and helplessness truly are. How it feels to be the one being stepped on. Just like how you did to others. I do not seek to find trouble, but those who wish to find trouble with me can only wait to regret their actions. I do not pity you, nor do I hate you. But threatening to kill me has already condemned you to death. You see…. I know if I let you go free, even if you were to plead on your hands and knees now, that you would hate me and bore ill will against me and maybe even try to hire people to kill me. I can not let that go, not when I have never done anything wrong in the first place.

“Like today, I had only come to this city for the first time, and you condemned me to death… Why? Pride? Arrogance? To feel superior? I never understood any of this….” Kana stepped on air and glided forward, and landed in front of the young man. He was so stricken with fear that he had completely lost his voice. “Now then…. I will not ask you to answer. I will only show you what fate has in store for those who have evil hearts.”

Kana raised her hand, extended a single finger, and poked the young man’s forehead. A surge of death element flowed into this body. Kana controlled it so that it would flow down to his feet before stepping back and allowing it to slowly flow upwards in the man’s body. “When death is near, only then will one truly repent.”

With these last words, Kana turned around and walked back towards the transportation arrays. The young man felt his feet come out from under him as he crumbled to the ground. But when he looked down at his feet, he realized they were no longer there. Even his legs were slowly crumbling away. His skin was drying up into a husk before turning to dust. “Ahhhh!” It was only then that the young man finally let out a horrific scream and looked towards Kana pleadingly. “I know my wrong! Save me! I will never do it again!”

Kana paused her steps and turned around. Her eyes were now back to normal as she gazed at the young man. “I already said…. Only when death is near will you truly repent. In your next life, try to live as a good person.”

The young man’s eyes widened and froze in that state as his body rapidly withered away. His final thoughts were just as Kana said. He now knew his wrongs, and he regretted all of it.
