Reborn As A Dragon Girl With A System

Chapter 724: Plots In The Darkness

Chapter 724: Plots In The Darkness

Min’er, who worked under Wen Zan, skipped through the darkness towards the outer sect area. She landed in a certain courtyard and walked into one of the rooms.

“Miss…” A young man that was sitting in a chair quickly stood up upon seeing Min’er and bowed his head.

“Get everything in order and move in an hour. Make sure you plant the evidence.” Min’er eyes flashed with a cold light.

“Miss, you are finally making your move?” The young man’s eyes showed a hint of excitement. He had long waited for this day to come.

“Mmm… We will use this chance to get rid of Wen Zan. This is just our first step to getting revenge on the Wen clan. Prepare tonight and execute it tomorrow at high moon.” Min’er clenched her fist. She had worked hard to hide her identity and worked her way into being Wen Zan’s confidant. He trusted her completely for everything. She can’t even count how many girls she had lured to his side and how many people she had ruined to get this far. All so she could finally take her revenge on the Wen family. Wen Zang…. The man who had stolen the family that once belonged to her mother, the Shin Family.

Wen Zang was actually her father, and Wen Zan was her half brother. Her mother had sent her away when Shuang Fei, Wen Zan’s mother showed up and became her father’s concubine. She was only five years old at the time. But now, after ten years, she was finally going to get her revenge. She had endured too much not to.

“Miss, I will carry my orders out cleanly.” The young man cupped his hands and bowed his head before quickly running off to do as he was told. Min’er let out a sigh. She felt bad for using the demonic beast girl as her pawn, but she knew with the way the sect treated her, she was the perfect expendable pawn to begin the process of destroying the Wen clan. By framing Wen Zan, Moon Crest Academy will not just stand by.

As for said expendable pawn, she was still having questionable dreams inside her courtyard without a care in the world. Only when the sun beamed down on her face did she wake up. She stretched her arms as she sat up. With one eye closed, she squinted her other one as she looked around. Her hair was in complete disarray.

“Master…” A soft voice came from inside her, causing Kana to instantly wake up.

“Ako!?” Kana called out excitedly.

“Mmmm… The strange energy is almost fully purged. It will be a little longer before I can finally purge it all… Is Master doing okay?” Ako asked. There was a hint of worry in her voice.

Kana smiled and felt relieved. She had been worried about Ako since she had not heard from her in a while. She would check on her from time to time but did not dare try to wake her. “I am doing fine. Ako, take care of yourself first. I promise nothing will happen to me, so do not worry.”

“Mmm… But I will still do my best to purge the energy as quickly as possible.” Ako did not wish to leave Kana alone much longer. She had been working hard to get rid of the strange energy without damaging her body or cultivation. It was a long slow process, and she could only do a hair like strand of it at a time.

“I will be here when you are done. I promise.” Kana spoke softly. She could already feel that Ako had entered a dormant state again as she worked hard to get rid of the strange energy. “I should grow stronger so Ako won’t have to worry about me when she is already dealing with so much.”

Kana summoned out her storage box and took out some food pills and ate one. She was determined to reach stage ten of qi gather as quickly as possible. She needed to move faster in her cultivation.

As the day turned into night, Kana was completely absorbed in her cultivation that she did not notice when five people entered her courtyard. Nor did any of her friends. Each one of these figures were, in fact, professional assassins, and it would be hard for people of their cultivation to detect such people.

Under the cover of night, they slowly made their way to where Kana was cultivating. The tallest of the figures waved his hand, motioning for someone to open the door. A second figure stepped forward and slowly opened the door without making a single sound. The five figures quickly entered Kana’s home and looked around the darkness until they spotted the dim flickering light of a candle in the side room. With a few more hand signals, the group made their way into the room where Kana was in the midst of her cultivation. They did not notice the small twitch in Kana’s nose as they began moving closer to her. Only when they got a meter away did they begin to sense something was wrong.

Kana’s eyes suddenly shot open, revealing a set of pitch black eyes filled with endless darkness. Her lips curled up, and a voice that did not sound like Kana’s flowed from her mouth: “Welcome and goodbye, your bodies may leave, but leave your souls behind. This has always been my rule.”

The five figures are all frozen in place. It was more like they could not move even if they wanted to. Their bodies were no longer under their control. They could not stop staring at the darkness within Kana’s eyes as she slowly rose from the bed. But strangely enough, her feet were not touching the ground. She just lightly floated there and hovered in front of the five figures. She reached out with her right hand, making a grabbing motion causing the figure in the lead to suddenly convulse as a ghostly figure began to emerge from their body.

Kana’s eerie grin rose more as she pulled hard, causing the ghostly figure to be ripped from the assassin’s body. “Now then…. To think you would try to harm my mother while she is in a defenseless state.”
