Reborn As A Dragon Girl With A System

Chapter 683 - Bargaining

Chapter 683 – Bargaining

“I don’t know if I should tell you or not.” Kana pursed her lips and took the bottle back, and sealed it back up with a sly smirk on her face.

“You! Lass, come on, don’t just show this old man something like this and not explain. How about this. If you join the sect, I will keep giving your personal training and up your monthly resources.” Elder Fang could not sit by and let such a magic thing get past him.

While Elder Fang was begging Kana, the disciples all looked at the interaction between the two in awe. They had even more respect for Moon Crest Academy with how a person who was in the middle of taking the exam knew so many elders yet was still not allowed free entry! This was what the prestige of a major sect should be like, honest and fair!

Kana, on the other hand, did not care about the free training. The reason why she showed Elder Fang the bottle she crafted was to get his backing. She knew with Elder Ye out for blood, she would end up with all kinds of hardships and may even end up killing more people. Without proper backing, she would end up being overwhelmed and bullied by Elder ye and his faction. “I could show you how I made it… But… You have to keep all your promises and help me out if I am in trouble.”

“Is this about that brat, Ye? Don’t worry about that idiot. If he dares bully you, just let this old man know, and I will beat some sense into him. Even if you kill him, no one will cause trouble for you. Now quickly tell me how you did it!” Elder Fang said some incredible things in a nonchalant manner. Even Elder Ning and Elder Shuan, who were on the stage with their cultivation, could hear his every word, were shocked by his words.

“Elder Ning, Elder Fang is serious, isn’t he?” Elder Shuan asked in a voice transmission.

“He is. Elder Fang does not care for anything but alchemy. He almost killed one elder who got mad at him for not refining a certain pill for him. He said something along the lines of: ‘I said I would get to it when I get to it,  but now that you keep bothering me, how about I take your stupid idiot life so you can save some resources for someone  who is better?’ Well, something along those lines. The sect master had to intervene, and the elder who caused trouble was kicked out of the sect. On the North Land Continent, Elder Fang is the best alchemist on the continent.” Elder Ning explained.

“I see… No wonder he is able to say such things and not get reprimanded by the sect master.” Elder Shuan sighed. Anyone who is either an alchemist, armament master, or array master would get special treatment no matter where they go, which in turn sometimes makes them too prideful due to their special status, which allows them to get away with anything.

Back on Kana’s side of things, she was all smiles. She got the answer she was looking for. “Then let me explain the process.”

Elder Fang and Kana squatted down, and Elder Fang put up a barrier that did not let anyone hear and see what was happening inside. “So it’s like that! Girl, you are a genius!”

“The only thing is that the one I showed you is much weaker than the ones I made before. The first time I used special thick spirit water. In order to make the one you have in your hand, I had to infuse regular purified water with spiritual qi. Although the effects are much worse, it is still at the standard of a low level healing pill.” Kana explained.

“Spirit… Spirit… Spirit Spring Water!? Ahhh! Why didn’t you save any!? I would have bought it from you! Lass, you broke this old man’s heart. I have been trying to get some for so long now. Sigh… There is nothing I can do. Anyway, It’s good you already used it, or else if someone else found out, they would surely covet it, and then you would have all kinds of problems.” Elder Fang was jealous but not by much. Kana’s idea of infusing regular water that had been purified from boiling to create a fake spirit spring water to use as a substitute for the so called potion she made was very ingenious.

“But we can make things just as good as pills even without a stove now. Such skill is very reliable when you are out in the wilds and are injured.” Kana felt her potions would be very good for cultivators who are trapped, injured, yet still have hope for recovering if they have water and fire to create a potion.

“This is very true. The only thing is that this would only work for healing pills. Things like antidotes would need to be done in a proper manner, or it could end up killing the person who ingested it.” Elder Fang explained.

“This is very true… But it is another life saving card as it works topically as well as internally. Anyway, now that I have shown you the process make sure you keep your promise!” Kana ended the conversation there and stood up.

“Don’t worry, such a genius, even if you do make it in the sect, I will still teach you everything I know.” Elder Fang said while dispelling the barrier around them.

“Then I thank you in advance.” Kana replied. She was very happy that she now had many backers.

“Okay, that ends the first trial. To those who did not make it. Please try again next year after you have cultivated some more. Maybe you will get a fortuitous encounter between now and then. For those who passed and received a token, please follow us to the next testing area.” Elder Ning closed the first test. And many people left with their heads held low.

Kana clutched the token in her hand and proceeded to follow the crowd to the next area.
