Rebirth to a Military Marriage: Good Morning Chief

Chapter 2328

Chapter 2328: Precious Darling (2)

Then, it wouldn’t be good if either the children or the elderly couple got injured.

Having been lectured by Qiao Nan, the three children understood that their mother disliked them moving about when they were being carried. It was just that Er Bao was particularly active. Besides, he was still young and his memory wasn’t particularly good. When Er Bao got too excited, he completely forgot about what his mom had taught him previously.

This time, Er Bao had once again forgotten about his mother’s words. He was being his joyful little self and had no idea how his mother was preparing to hit his backside while his grandparents were looking.

Just like it had been in her dream, Er Bao had been more active. Sometimes, he was even clingy. Were children like that not attractive and eye-catching? Apart from the only girl in the family, San Bao, the one whom Miao Jing carried the most was the loveable Er Bao. Thankfully, Da Bao was not forgotten. Although he had not caught his grandma’s attention, he received his grandpa’s sole devotion.

It was not that Zhai Yaohui disliked Er Bao and San Bao. It was just that Da Bao was the eldest among the triplets and had a similar temperament to Zhai Sheng. Zhai Yaohui always said that there was no need for him to worry about Er Bao or San Bao with Da Bao around. As long as they raised Da Bao well, the Zhai family would never fall. As long as Er Bao and San Bao had Da Bao around, there was no need for them to worry.

When Zhai Yaohui carried Da Bao, he didn’t play with Da Bao like how Miao Jing played with Er Bao or San Bao. He simply carried Da Bao without moving. Occasionally, he would take out the models made by Zhai Sheng to teach Da Bao to identify the different types of airplanes, tanks, and even the components of guns.

Every time that happened, Miao Jing couldn’t help but laugh at Zhai Yaohui. Da Bao couldn’t even call out for his mother, and yet, Zhai Yaohui was teaching Da Bao all these in hopes that Da Bao would be familiar with military terms the moment he started speaking!

Even if they thought that their grandchildren were geniuses who picked up things very quickly, Zhai Yaohui was being overly enthusiastic.

Even so, Zhai Yaohui had never been discouraged by Miao Jing’s ridicules. He was simply doing some early education. It was not as though he was truly hoping that Da Bao would learn anything from it. The more Miao Jing laughed, the more Zhai Yaohui felt that it was good for him to interact with Da Bao in this manner. Da Bao was not as noisy as Er Bao, and he would watch his brother and sister with those round eyes of his as they played as though he was their guardian angel.

When he held Da Bao in his arms, Da Bao’s eyes would always follow him as he taught Da Bao. Humph! Who said that Da Bao didn’t understand what he was saying? He felt that Da Bao understood him perfectly well. Thinking about how Da Bao would always reach out to hold those models in his hand and play with them after his ‘lecture’ as though he was consolidating his knowledge, Zhai Yaohui was even more proud.

Only he as a grandpa would be able to cultivate such a good seedling like Da Bao. Miao Miao would only drag Da Bao down. The current situation couldn’t be better. His daughter-in-law would raise San Bao, Miao Miao would care for Er Bao, while he would teach Da Bao!

After assigning everyone their tasks, Zhai Yaohui turned his full attention to Da Bao. Zhai Yaohui, who was happily giving Da Bao his early education, had no idea that his grandson was already sick of him. It wasn’t just Da Bao who was interested in those toy models. Even Er Bao and San Bao liked them too. Once the children had them in their hands, they all had the same reaction: stuffing them into their mouths.

Da Bao was in a hurry to play with those toys, but his grandpa refused to hand them over and would even go on his own monologue. His grandpa wouldn’t even let him have it when he tried to snatch them over. The second time it happened, Da Bao understood that he would have to be a filial grandson and let his grandpa have his chance to finish his speech.

As such, whenever Zhai Yaohui described the models, Da Bao would listen with a serious expression, blinking and nodding from time to time. When Zhai Yaohui’s jaw stopped moving, Da Bao knew that it was time for him to play. Sigh. It was tiring playing with his grandpa. Er Bao and San Bao had it good. Their grandpa had no desire to play with them. Could he share his grandpa’s company with them?

Zhai Sheng, who had just come downstairs, reached his hands out to carry Er Bao out of his grandma’s embrace. Miao Jing was annoyed. “Go! Go!” Zhai Sheng shared similar views with Zhai Yaohui. San Bao was the family’s only girl, so it went without saying that she would be raised like a princess. Sons were different. Boys had to be raised to be tough men.

Er Bao was lively and made much more noise than San Bao, attracting the adults’ attention. Zhai Sheng couldn’t help but worry that he would be overly pampered by his grandma. It was alright for girls to be a little spoiled, but boys, especially his sons, couldn’t afford to be spoiled in the slightest bit.

“You have a heavy hand. Er Bao’s still young. Don’t carry him. Move aside.” If she were to hand Er Bao over to Zhai Sheng, she wouldn’t have any grandchildren to carry. This rascal, Zhai Sheng, didn’t dare to fight with his father nor anger his wife, so he was trying to bully his mom? “Er Bao, do you prefer Grandma carrying you? Yes, Grandma likes carrying Er Bao. Let’s not let your dad carry you.”

“Mom…” Zhai Sheng was helpless. To gain her grandchildren’s affection, she had put her own son down. “Mom, don’t spoil Er Bao. Our Zhai family’s boys have to be tough.” This would only make the children develop bad habits and believe that these words were the truth.

As he said that, Zhai Sheng scooped Er Bao up from Miao Jing’s embrace as though he was reeling in a fishing net before seating Er Bao on his muscular leg.

Now, Er Bao despised his father. His grandpa hardly carried him, but his grandma’s embrace was soft, and his mother’s embrace was soft and fragrant. His dad… It was hard and uncomfortable.

Er Bao wriggled, trying to escape from his father’s embrace to find his mother or San Bao. Seeing Er Bao’s actions, Zhai Sheng nipped the problem in the bud by trapping Er Bao between his calves. Er Bao, who did not crawl very well to begin with, could no longer run away. After trying in vain a few times, he fell and his temper finally erupted and he burst out in tears. Dad was a big bully!
