Chapter 189: Let Them Have Doubts About Life

Chi Yue sent another message: Apollo’s stuff has been delivered.

This time, Su Huiqing didn’t reply to him even after he waited for a long while.

“Did the King say anything?” Apollo was shaking his foot nonchalantly and looking at Chi Yue with a smirk.

Chi Yue shifted his gaze to his cell phone. “No.”

“Ai…” Apollo placed his hands on the table and widened his eyes. “Impossible. She wanted me to tell her the testing results of the new weapon.”

Chi Yue shot him a glance before saying. “Alright now, the goods have been delivered. You should leave now. I will contact you again if anything comes up.”

Apollo left reluctantly.

Chi Yue finally steeled himself and opened his laptop. He keyed in a long string of numbers.

He didn’t forget that Su Huiqing wanted him to investigate the Su Family of Unknown Island.

He tapped the enter key with a flourish.

A dense block of words and numbers appeared on the screen.

Someone said before that there was no information in this world that an elite hacker cannot retrieve.

No matter how classified it was, they would find it as long as they set their minds to it.

Chi Yue scanned through the information, until he came upon a highly-classified top secret folder.

He opened the folder and read out loud. “Experiment subject program…”

Chi Yue adjusted his spectacles. He had never heard of this program before. He glanced down at his cell phone. Su Huiqing had yet to reply to him.

He had no idea what she was doing.

He couldn’t help frowning. This was not something that could be discussed over the phone. He would discuss this face to face with the captain the next time they met.

Meanwhile, Su Huiqing was currently in a daze.

She was not speaking and unmoving, the cell phone still clutched in her hand. She remained in that posture for a long while, leaning against the sofa.

Her expression was akin to that of having just been struck by lightning.

Yu Shijin was still preparing the medicine.

His expression was grave, his eyes extremely dark.

But he still looked more placid than Su Huiqing.

A moment later, he pursed his lips and slowly put the medicine and bandages down. His gaze was deep and profound, his voice exceptionally calm. “I have had someone prepare a room for you. Upstairs, first room to the left.”

“No need.” Su Huiqing kept silent for a moment before recovering her voice. “I have not finished passing all the checkpoints. I am returning to the school.”

This time, Yu Shijin didn’t object.

He took up his keys and gazed at her mildly. “Let’s go.”

“Mister, you are going out so late at night?” A servant emerged from the kitchen, looking very surprised.

“Mmm.” Yu Shijin’s voice was steady, his face serene as always. “I am sending her back to school.”

The servant started to say something.

He wanted to comment that Yu Shijin hadn’t even changed out of his slippers, but in the end, he didn’t utter a single word.

The corners of that servant’s lips couldn’t help twitching when he thought of the typically stern and formally-dressed mister heading out in slippers.

Yu Shijin brought her to the training grounds.

The two of them didn’t exchange a single word during the trip.

But the atmosphere was not awkward at all.

The moment the car came to a stop, an instructor bearing a brand new set of military uniform was waiting at the entrance.

Yu Shijin lit a cigarette and lifted his chin at that instructor, who immediately presented the uniform to Su Huiqing.

Su Huiqing muttered a word of thanks before putting on the jacket and strapping on the army-green helmet.

She headed straight into the entrance.

Yu Shijin slowly flicked his cigarette. Leaning against the car door, he couldn’t help calling out right before she was about to disappear from sight. “Be careful.”

Su Huiqing pressed down on her helmet and replied. “Mmm.”

She continued inward.

When she was midway through the checkpoints, she had tossed her access pass to a corner of a checkpoint before leaving.

She thought that she would be returning soon after receiving the Su Corporation people.

She never expected the sorceress hall incident to happen.

Su Huiqing leaned over and retrieved her own access pass, and pressed down on her helmet.

Meanwhile, in Monster University’s surveillance quarters.

Someone was nodding off when the screen for a certain access pass, which had remained static for a long while, started showing some action. He immediately raised his head and called out to his partner. “Quickly, go notify all the teachers. The access pass of Number 056 is finally moving again!”

In just one morning, this Number 056 had led a team of seven through 19 checkpoints. They seemed to have sailed through without any trouble at all.

A very formidable competitor.

But by the afternoon, while her team was still passing through the checkpoints, she herself remained sitting at one spot, unmoving.

The speed at which the team passed through the checkpoints decreased significantly because of her absence.

That person, who had remained motionless for nearly 12 hours, was suddenly on the move again.

How could the person monitoring the screens not be excited?

With her own access pass, Su Huiqing went through three checkpoints and caught up with Qu Yan and team.

“Qingqing!” The team was sitting cross-legged on the ground, discussing something rather heatedly. They cried out in pleasant surprise when they noticed Su Huiqing.

Su Huiqing adjusted her military uniform and smiled. “What is this checkpoint about?”

“Several chemistry seniors buried many mines.” Ye Zeyu had been a victim. His face was blackened and his uniform was also somewhat charred. “They buried the bombs at random and all mine-clearing algorithms have failed. All the freshmen who managed to reach this checkpoint have been stumped here.”

Su Huiqing tucked one hand into her pocket and lowered her face slightly. She chuckled. “Why bother clearing the bombs?”

“Mmm?” Ye Zeyu and the rest didn’t understand Su Huiqing’s meaning.

But Qu Yan, Yu Xiangyang and the gang knew.

The three of them exchanged knowing glances before looking at Su Huiqing. Their eyes brightened. “You mean…”

Su Huiqing returned their look, her usual indifferent smile playing across her lips.

She touched the tip of her helmet and stated calmly, “Blow them all up.”

“Blow them all up?” Ye Zeyu raised his brows before shaking his head. “No way. We don’t have any explosives. There’s also no time to go and get some now.”

“No problem. When the time comes, you guys will be able to use all the bombs you want. Blow up everything until the seniors start to doubt the meaning to life.” Su Huiqing lowered her gaze, her hand still in her pocket. Slightly tilted, that face was cool and dashing. “I can provide you with as many explosives as your hearts desire.”
