Rebirth of the Heavenly Empress

Chapter 163 - Isn’t It Time For Her Weapon To Be Returned?

Chapter 163: Isn’t It Time For Her Weapon To Be Returned?

Su Huiqing immediately recalled that Yu Shijin was still injured.

Her eyes dimmed.

She didn’t show any mercy this second time around.

Clutching her jade pendant with one hand, she made a fist with the other and flung it outward.

The woman in white melted into a puff of green smoke, which gradually dissipated.

Su Huiqing was not at all surprised as she watched the white figure fade away.

It was just a puppet made from paper.

She clenched her fists before turning frostily toward Yu Shijin. “Do you feel like you are not dying fast enough?”

Yu Shijin did look rather pallid.

He observed the remains of that paper figure with dark eyes.

After that, he muttered coldly as he led Su Huiqing out. “We will settle this after we get out of here.”

The fire was still raging.

But this person was Su Huiqing.

She was daring, loyal and had a high level of self-awareness. She was powerfully skilled and could create waves wherever she went.

As angry as he was, she wouldn’t be the Su Huiqing he knew if she didn’t do this.

Outside.

Qu Yan and the gang were being held by Chu Xuning and his team.

The three of them, especially Yu Xiangyang and Qu Yan, knew Su Huiqing was inside and wanted to rush in without any regard for their own safety.

If not for Chu Xuning and chief detective holding them back, they would have already dashed in.

“Have some faith in Master Yu. The two of them will definitely come out.” Chief detective gazed at the trio.

The first rule of being a soldier was to always obey.

Just as the standoff between the two sides came to a stale-mate, someone exclaimed in glee.

“Master Yu! Ms Su!”

Chief detective and the gang immediately turned to look at the entrance.

Under the glowing flames, two figures were heading toward them.

Yu Shijin pulled off his hood. Bright red blood trickled down from the corner of his lips.

Su Huiqing’s face changed. She took his pulse before taking out a bottle of potion from her pocket and letting him drink it.

But it was useless.

Blood continued to flow from his lips.

Su Huiqing lowered her eyes as she suddenly recalled Chu Xuning’s words.

This was sorcery.

She would never be able to heal him, no matter how hard she tried.

“Chief detective, notify the private jet that flies to the International Association. Get it to come here immediately.” Su Huiqing commanded.

Yu Shijin’s eyes hardened as he wiped off the blood. “No need, I am not going back for the moment.

He was unconcerned.

It was as if the blood trickling out of his mouth was just water.

Su Huiqing crossed her arms and stared at him stonily. “Either you return to the International Association today, or get up now and fight me.”

Chief detective, Chu Xuning and everyone else was dumbstruck by her words. No one dared to say another word.

It was the first time they witnessed someone who dared to speak to Yu Shijin in this manner.

Just as Chu Xuning was sure that Yu Shijin would fly into a rage, he spoke up, “I’ll leave tonight, alright?”

He continued staring at Su Huiqing, his jaws tightly clenched.

Su Huiqing narrowed her eyes. She didn’t answer Yu Shijin but continued to issue instructions to the chief detective. “Immediately prepare the private jet.”

Chief detective gave Su Huiqing a proper military salute. “Yes, Madam!”

The private jet had already been prepared early on.

It flew over from the hangar in just over 10 minutes.

Yu Shijin’s men spent the time clearing out a space for the plane to land.

With lowered eyes, Yu Shijin drew out a handkerchief and slowly wiped away the blood from the corners of his lips.

He then straightened his jacket and leisurely strode over to the private jet.

All that happened in just over 10 minutes.

He seemed to have regained his usual aloofness. Walking beside Su Huiqing, he slowed down.

He gazed at Su Huiqing with his profound eyes. “Didn’t you ask how I know your code name is Fifteen?”

Su Huiqing shoved her hands into her pocket and met his deep eyes. “Are you going to tell me?”

“I will tell you when I return.” Yu Shijin gave her one last look.

His gaze was somewhat sharp and harsh.

He then boarded the jet without even turning his head.

Green City was some distance away from the International Association.

Yu Shijin and his team set off in the evening, and it was already dawn by the time they arrived at the International Association.

The Yu Family had already dispatched a team to await his arrival at the airport.

The weather was warmer here than in Green City, and Yu Shijin strode out indifferently, his jacket draped over his arm.

“Young Master, aren’t you going back?” The Yu Family butler spoke up anxiously when he saw Yu Shijin sweep past the Yu Family car.

Yu Shijin paused and tilted his head.

His pitch-black eyes surveyed the bunch of people from the Yu Family. His pupils narrowed dangerously. “I am going to meet someone at Unknown Island first.”

“Who?”

The Yu Family butler immediately asked.

Yu Shijin looked at him mildly, as he answered casually, “A great sorcerer.”

Unknown Island looked about the same from when he last visited it.

The great sorcerer was a white-haired old man dressed in a white robe.

“You have finally come.” He handed a lamp to Yu Shijin. “As long as this lamp continues to burn, your soul will never be extinguished. From now on, you will never need to suffer the constraints of the area.”

Yu Shijin carefully set aside the lamp.

“Someone’s here looking for you. You should leave.” The great sorcerer turned and strolled off in a relaxed manner.

“Wait a minute.” Yu Shijin didn’t leave. He flicked off a non-existent speck of ash off his clothes, before looking coldly at the sorcerer. “I saw a paper puppet today. I wonder if it is the work of one of your disciples?”

The sorcerer was taken aback.

He gazed at Yu Shijin in astonishment. “Apart from Tao Zhuo, I have no other disciple in Green City.”

“You should know better than me if there are.” Yu Shijin lit his cigarette, a frosty vibe emanating from the depths of his eyes. “Tell that person, it was just that puppet’s unlucky day today. If any harm comes to her, I will deal out the same fate to that person.”

The great sorcerer kept silent for a moment. “Mr. Yu, you don’t believe me.”

“It was because I trusted you too much then, that she eventually died.” Yu Shijin gave a bitter laugh.

He didn’t bother to conceal the viciousness in his eyes.

“I was also distraught, but…” The great sorcerer frowned deeply.

Yu Shijin interrupted him, shooting him a merciless look. “Alright, one final thing. Isn’t it time for her weapon to be returned?”
