Chapter 2181  Meeting Gorn

Bloody Chariot stayed like that for two minutes.

He didn't speak anything and he had his eyes closed. Dove felt a bad premonition, however nothing of that sort happened. He just opened his eyes and said.

"I really wish I could demand this and not request you like this. If not for Wharton's presence, I might have done that.

Anyway, I agree to your conditions. Anything else?"

"Yes, there is actually one more thing. What if? I mean what if the Zeus academy is dragged into this state again after our truce ends? What if when the academy war between us resumes, the Zeus Academy is back in these dire states because of us?

Will you just come back again and make the same demand?"

Bloody Chariot smiled.

"No, you don't have to worry about that. Right now, I believe there is an external influence that doesn't belong to the Academy realm is manipulating the things behind the scenes. As long as I confirm their existence and rid of them they are truly there, my duties with the academy will be over.

If the Zeus academy is dying down just because they couldn't compete with other academies, then there is nothing I can do. I would rather watch it crumble than save it with begging and requesting."

"Good to know."

Dove nodded and they signed the contract.

There is one more condition added at the end.

And that is the Zeus academy cannot under any circumstance plot against the Gambler academy. This involves not just the academy authorities or the staff, even the students are not allowed to plot against the students of the Gambler academy.

If proof of any such action exists, the Zeus academy will be forfeiting their end of the contract and the gambler academy can do whatever they want to the Zeus academy.

That includes resuming the war and dealing with the hostages as they see fit.

After the contract was signed, Bloody Chariot left. In his opinion, the major threat to the direct stability of Zeus academy has been put on a temporary cool down.

But the price he paid is far too high. He needs to recover it somehow so that the Zeus Academy itself wouldn't strain itself too much on the resource front.

After all, those resources are not just for students, but also for the core strength of their academy, the instructors, elders and some of them even go to the Battlefield of Gods. There are also many hidden expenses that he has to manage.

And for that, he took out the second list that he had.

The list of assets of the former employees of the Zeus Academy, since he needs to find a place to regain the losses, he might as well start from there. The best part is, that with them, he doesn't go on about requesting them.

I am sure, you are all strong enough to protect yourself.

And be sure to use the names of the Noble league and the Zeus academy strongly. Don't forget about the awesome backstory that I created. All the best."

That is what his message said.

Icarus looked at the string of texts and felt a little nervous. Even when he was at the exchange center in that disguise, he couldn't really feel confident. He would rather fight people or endure humiliations than doing something like this.

But he had to do this.

He disguised himself and moved. He used the space gates and wormholes to reach his destination within no time.

His first stop is a city on a planet that is not too far from the Academy realm. The city is kind of a merchant city. The planet itself didn't have any valuable resources for them to create a merchant hub like that.

However, that place acts as one of the contact points between the Academy realm and the outside world.

People of lower level planets, with their strongest individuals barely reaching the initial stage of the Divine Plane initiation, come here to buy things that come from the resource points of the academy realms.

These things are basically crumbs left behind in the treasuries of the academies and the businesses affiliated with the academies, after they are done trading the actual resources.

Even the products are considered low level from the academy realm standards, they are still great for the low level planets and realms.

And in that city, there is a newly bought estate by one of the Elders that was dismissed by Bloody Chariot.

Not many people in the city knew of this, but the Sam managed to lock down his location through the wrist band and the bird puppet.

Even though with their current location, he cannot receive the live surveillance and stuff, he can still get access to their location coordinates. Matching them with Dimensional drifter is all he needs to do.

Icarus went there and knocked on the door of that estate.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK*

After knocking on it for over five minutes, the elder finally came.

"Who is this?"

The man peeked from the side of the door, only revealing his head. His hair is unkempt and his face looked droopy. He was clearly drunk out of his mind.

Icarus sighed spoke.

"Elder Gorn, I need to speak to you about something important. It is related to your position in the Zeus Academy. Can I have five minutes of your time?"

Gorn immediately became wary. He even sobered up a bit and looked at Icarus. The mask, the hood, he looked shady as hell.

Icarus sighed once again and said.

"I know I don't look trustworthy, but I must wear this to protect you. If you give me five minutes, I can explain myself. If you don't trust me, you can take a look at these."

As Gorn said, he gave a recording crystal to Gorn. Gorn took a look at the contents and he completely sobered up.

"YOU… WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?"

He yelled out loud and came out from his hiding behind the door. He was in his underwear. Icarus felt his eyes burn from that image.

"I already told you, please give me five minutes. I will explain the matter to you."

Two minutes later.

Icarus and Gorn are sitting in a room.

Gorn appeared impatient and wanted to ask more, but he couldn't bring himself show his desperation and tried his best go hide it. Tried, but failed.

"First off, I am here to tell you about the threat that you are facing right now.

Bloody Chariot didn't dismiss you just because of the delay in attending the meeting. He dismissed you with a bigger plan in mind."

"How do you know I was dismissed like that?" Gorn asked.

"You are focusing on the wrong thing, Elder Gorn. It is not important how I know. It is important what I know. You know more than anyone about the mishap that happened with Sam from Gambler Academy. Many noble league families sent forces to deal with him and failed.

It is one of the trigger points for the current dire situation of the Zeus academy as it started a war. I don't know the full story on that front, but with that move, the Zeus academy stepped on toes of some big wigs that are out of their control.

So, to appease them, Bloody Chariot came out of perform a clean out process. That is the reason that he dismissed a bunch of elders and instructors."

Gorn widened his eyes like saucers.

"That… that is impossible. Nobody could have predicted that only that bunch of people will be late that day. Even with that, how can dismissing me, be useful in that situation? It doesn't make sense."

"I don't know how he did it, but I am sure you can understand what I am saying, up on seeing this list."

With that, Icarus gave him a list. It is the list of the people that were dismissed that day. Besides their names, some families and organizations names were written.

Beside Gorn's name, there is the name of a family written. Diplodes.

Another clan that is on a similar footing compared to the Thalassa family.

Now, Gorn managed to connect the dots and understood what this meeting implied.
