284 The Monthly Royal Gathering

Not only was Allen the strongest mage in her world, but he was also the greatest teacher one could ever ask for.

When Alisceon thought of that, she couldn’t help but feel fortunate that she had someone as excellent as Allen as her brother. After all, even her blood-related brother and sisters weren’t as kind and caring as Allen. Not only that, they weren’t as excellent as Allen in terms of wealth and power.

After Allen praised Alisceon and patted her head, he removed his hand from her head as his attention shifted towards Iris.

“Iris, can you cook dinner for us? Just cook enough servings for all six of us.”

“Very well, Master Allen.”

Iris agreed to Allen’s request as she exited Alisceon’s room and headed to the kitchen of Alisceon’s mansion. After all, not only was she Allen’s lover, but she was also his maid.

As a Supreme IA with the <Supreme Maid> talent, Iris ought to perform her job as Allen’s maid.

After Iris left Alisceon’s room, only Allen and Alisceon were in Alisceon’s room.

“Alisceon, what do you want to ask me to do? I know you have something you want to tell me and now that Iris isn’t here, you are free to tell me what’s on your mind.”

Allen asked Alisceon as he had already noticed before that she wanted to tell him something, judging from the expression on her face.

Yes, Allen indirectly told Iris to leave Alisceon’s room so that only Alisceon and he will be left inside the room. As for cooking dinner, Allen wasn’t lying about Iris doing that since she will indeed cook their dinner.

Allen had noticed that Alisceon wanted the two of them to be alone together and that’s why he indirectly asked Iris to leave Alisceon’s room.

It’s not that Alisceon wanted Iris to leave because she didn’t trust her nor she wanted Iris to leave because she wanted to do something intimate with Allen. It was just something that she needed Allen to hear or else she would be embarrassed afterward if someone aside from Allen heard of it.

With that in mind, Allen allowed Alisceon’s request since he had already read her expression. After all, against Allen’s arsenal of <Supreme> talents, trying to hide your intention from him would be nigh impossible.

When Alisceon noticed that Iris had left the room, she sighed in relief as her attention was directed toward Allen. Without waiting for any more seconds to pass by, she immediately answered Allen’s question.

“Brother, can I ask you one request?”

Alisceon timidly asked Allen for a request.

Allen could guess numerous things that Alisceon would request him to do or give. He was capable of deducing thousands of possibilities but in the end, it was only a mere deduction. That’s why Allen stopped his deduction and decided to hear Alisceon’s request instead.

“Sure, as long as it is something that I am capable of doing, I will gladly fulfill one of your requests.”

After assuring Alisceon that he would fulfill her request, Alisceon’s mood brightened up.

“Thank you, brother!”

“Can I request you to attend the Monthly Royal Gathering with me?”

After telling Allen about her request, Alisceon felt that a huge burden was lifted from her shoulders. She knew that Allen would agree to her request but it still took most of her courage to ask him about it.

After all, Allen had done a lot of things for her without asking for anything in return. She knew that she couldn’t repay all of what Allen had done to her.

Alisceon even thought of repaying Allen with her body but then she later found out that Allen had a lover.

Of course, that wouldn’t stop her since polygamy was allowed in her world. But after finding out that Allen didn’t want any more lovers and noticing that Allen only saw her as a little sister, Alisceon’s confidence took a brunt.

Alisceon was well aware that she was too indebted to Allen but she dared to ask more from him. But she was left with no choice but to ask a request from Allen since her title as the first princess and her life depended on whether she could bring Allen with her to the Monthly Royal Gathering.

“Don’t worry. I will attend that gathering with you.”

Allen reassured her that he will fulfill her request and he would attend the Monthly Royal Gathering with her.

“But can you inform me what the Monthly Royal Gathering is? Although I can already guess what purpose it serves judging from its name, I still want to hear it directly from you.”

Allen asked Alisceon to give her information about the Monthly Royal Gathering mainly because he wanted to know what it was so that he could prepare in advance how to deal with the other people who would attend it.

But whatever the Monthly Royal Gathering was, Allen would attend it as long as Alisceon planned to attend it. After all, she didn’t want to leave Alisceon’s side until she was powerful enough to defend herself.

Allen was well aware of the cruelty of the royal family when it came to each other especially when it was the battle for the throne. Even Alisceon’s royal siblings didn’t hesitate in assassinating her so that they would have one lesser competitor.

Although Alisceon wasn’t a threat to the battle of the thrones, she was still the first princess. So if Alisceon’s royal siblings managed to weaken each other to the point that Alisceon who was acting as a bystander became the most qualified for the throne, they wouldn’t even have medicine for regret.

That’s why Alisceon’s royal siblings didn’t want Alisceon to live that long or else she would become a threat to them. Allen had already seen through their intentions without meeting Alisceons’ royal siblings and that was why he didn’t want to leave Alisceon’s side.

Even if Alisceon’s royal siblings managed to find information that Alisceon was with an 8th Circle Mage, Allen foresaw that they would still hire assassins to deal with Alisceon as long as Alisceon was left defenseless.

Allen didn’t want Alisceon to die since she was his little sister. He never had a younger sister and only had a younger brother in his life and that’s why Alisceon meant so much to him.

Not to mention, Alisceon was a cute, obedient, and talented little sister. Who wants such a little sister to die?

With that in mind, Allen didn’t hesitate to accompany Alisceon in the Monthly Royal Gathering even if he didn’t know what the Monthly Royal Gathering was.

After hearing Allen’s assurance, Alisceon felt that relieved. She knew how powerful and capable Allen was and because of that, she deeply believed in his capabilities.

“The Monthly Royal Gathering is an event that was made official after the battle for the throne had started. In that event, all of the candidates for the throne must attend it.”

“Not attending the Monthly Royal Gathering will be deemed as disrespect towards the king. I always attend the Monthly Royal Gathering but my supporters are few in number. If it wasn’t for my title as the first princess, I likely would have lost all of my supporters.”

“Not to mention, every time I attend the Monthly Royal Gathering, I noticed that my supporters kept on getting lower in numbers. I found out that my royal siblings are roping them into their side just to spite me. I couldn’t do anything against them since I was weak and powerless compared to my royal siblings.”

Alisceon’s words got heavier as she tightly clenched the skirt of her nightgown. Allen noticed that her eyes were getting wetter as a few tears trickled down her face.

“Don’t worry, you have my support. I will attend the gathering and prove to them that you have the support of the human race’s strongest mage.”

Allen patted Alisceon’s head as he assured her to not worry about the Monthly Royal Gathering as well as her royal siblings.

After all, if her royal siblings dared to bring trouble with Alisceon when Allen was by her side, Allen would prove to Alisceon’s royal siblings that his title as the human race’s strongest mage wasn’t just for show.

Even if the Mage’s Association was mostly filled with old men, they were by no means senile enough to grant Allen the title of Supreme Mage if Allen wasn’t the strongest mage of the human race.

Although Allen believed that there would still be someone blind enough to doubt his title as the Supreme Mage, Allen could care less about them since he could just prove to them with his magic that he was worthy of the Supreme Mage title.

With that in mind, Allen didn’t mind fulfilling Alisceon’s request since he was more than capable to support her.
