Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 467: Serious

Chapter 467: Serious

Shane was not sure where exactly his family was, but all of them were busy doing something or the other.

As such, he could only decide to fulfill one of his tasks, which was to straightforwardly ask Levi and Lili to come with them to the other planet they would colonize.

This was extremely important for both mankind and the Leviathan as it would be a win-win situation for both Levi and mankind. While Levi would be able to protect Lili, consequently mankind would be protected by her.

At least, that was what Shane thought with the rational part of his brain that had overwhelmed his emotions that were now fully sealed.

He had killed so many times that it didn’t make him feel remorse, but losing Aisha had hit him harder than expected.

Other than that there were also the Starlight guild members that had died, and despite wanting to, he couldn’t meet their families and offer his condolences while explaining to them what had happened.

Something held him back, and Shane was not sure what it was.

He shouldn’t feel guilty because he never forced someone to do anything, and everyone was free to do what they wanted with only a few light restrictions.

Nevertheless, the fact that the faction required funds and the strongest possible warriors to colonize a new planet was evident as the dangers were still unknown.

There was also the fact that world bridges were likely to appear once the Dimension portal would stop working, bringing new dangers to the new world they would inhabit soon.

Shane assumed that it would only take a week, or at most two before they would start colonizing the other planet, leaving Igra behind instead of waiting until the Dark Ice elves would destroy it.

Too many things required his attention, and the incident with the Myst stage beasts made everything worse, only to clearly show how dangerous the Primordial dimensions had become.

Abandoning the System and Primordial dimensions was now something everybody wished for, and the number of people seeking asylum in the Neptua Ladra region just kept increasing every single day.

Because of that, Shane’s second task was to increase the number of mana drops in his mana pool, which would in return also increase the soul world’s size by a small margin.

The exact increment was likely to vary, and it was only fortunate that the Hidden Paradise had reached a size of more than 600 kilometers in diameters owing to the devoured silver soul world core.

Shane had yet to clearly investigate the changes of his soul world because there were certain things that had changed, but it was not something that had to be rushed.

A new element had appeared in his soul world core, which was in fact a dense silver wisp, giving Shane the possibility to bind a beast to his soul with the same affinity the wisp represented.

Apparently, to bind a beast to one’s soul, the soul world had to have compatible affinities, otherwise, one was unable to bind said beast.

This was something Shane hadn’t known before, and he only got to know it by chance.

The Creator’s transmitted information was extremely interesting, and they even included things about soulbonds, soul worlds, and so on.

As such, he would have to spend some time researching the information that had just been stored in his mind.

While his mind felt like a giant puddle of thoughts, the rational part of his brain was converting it into useful information that could be utilised for later.

He didn’t even realise that he had already reached the closest land area near the ocean, as he halted in his tracks, lost in thoughts.

Only some time later, he slowly regained his senses before recalling for what he had come for.

Taking out the Leviathan fang flute, which Talia had returned him through the soul world, Shane played it for a minute before he released his mana fluctuations, showing Levi where he was and that it was him and nobody else who had played the flute.

Yet, contrary to his expectations it was the small head of a Leviathan that pierced through the water surface first.

Even after spotting Lili, Shane’s facial features remained unmoving while the Leviathan youngling approached him, expressing her joy to see him.

Unbothered by his emotionless behavior, she wanted to figure out where Umbra was, but seeing that Shane didn’t move, or that Umbra appeared out of Shane’s body, Lili began to push him lightly using her head.

It was only then that Shane started to caress her scaly head.

“Umbra is not here today. He is occupied with something.”

He didn’t smile and his voice was dry, but his caress held the affection Shane felt for Lili.

Only a moment later Levi’s head pierced out of the water surface too, creating small waves that swept towards the small beach until they reached Shane’s feet that were immersed in the water.

[This emotionless expression doesn’t suit you, little one!]

That was the first thought Levi transmitted towards Shane, who could only look at her before he sighed deeply.

“I’m sorry Levi, but I don’t feel like playing around today…if it’s possible can we please talk about the important things first?”

Levi was clearly able to perceive how Shane was feeling right now, and it was obvious that something bad must have happened.

However, she hadn’t planned to play around, from the beginning. That was something Lili could do, but seeing that Shane was still caressing her while maintaining an emotionless expression with cold eyes showed that he was torn between his own thoughts.

‘So he lost someone, but doesn’t know how to express himself anymore… It is always like that with young but talented youths. With great strength comes great responsibility… He will have to overcome his sorrow to become stronger…

Did I expect too much from him? He is not even 20 years old and has to shoulder the heavy responsibility of his entire race…not alone, but Shane will have to do that someday!’

Shane didn’t notice Levi’s thoughts that were completely different than anything he could imagine.

Nevertheless, because Levi didn’t say anything he decided to simply go ahead and voice out his proposal.

Clearing his throat, he gave a ten-minute explanation of what he, and mankind had planned to do was revealed, including everything about the Hidden Paradise.

Shane even decided to drop the information that he had encountered the Creator as well as the hint that he had received a wish from him.

After listening intently, Levi fell silent for some time, thinking about his words while Shane merely looked at her without saying anything further.

There was nothing to hold back, and by bluntly stating the facts there wouldn’t be any misunderstandings either. That was something Shane was sure of!

Only a few minutes had passed and Levi, who knew the reason for which Shane wanted her and Lili to enter his soul world, simply asked as straightforwardly as Shane had stated the facts.

[I appreciate this offer, but why should I hand over my own and Lili’s life by entering the Hidden Paradise to you? If you die, we will die too! With your proposal, mankind would receive benefits while I get something I can simply give myself. Both Lili and I can simply access the Dimension Portal and leave Igra by immigrating to any planet that is suitable for us to live.

If you can give me a proper reason, I will reconsider your offer, and I might as well agree to it.]

Shane knew that Levi adored him, but at the same time she had to do her best in order to give Lili the most suitable environment to grow up in.

This was what a mother was supposed to do, and the dangers following Shane were evident, while the unknown threats associated with colonizing a new planet were apparent too.

It was exactly as Levi said- if the Leviathans were to be inside the Hidden Paradise while he died, they would succumb to their fate too!

With that in mind, Shane thought about a proper answer for a few minutes before he started speaking again.
