Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 465: Pain&Agony

Chapter 465: Pain&Agony

The bloodlust within Shane was still raging wildly, only to increase several times as he was struggling to come to terms with the fact that his friend, Aisha was dead.

Not only could he and the others kill beasts, but it also went the other way around.

Everyone knew of the dangers prevalent in the Primordial dimensions, and most had already lost good friends, lovers and family to the Primordial dimensions…except Shane.

His adventure through the dimensions had always been filled with him killing others because his strength had already been much higher than his opponents.

The deaths of the students who had died when they had been on the expedition in the elemental cave didn’t affect him so much because he was not attached to them.

He didn’t really care about most people either because everyone was responsible for their own safety.

This mindset of Shane had only changed after becoming friends with Olivia, Aimy, Aisha, Frer, Miriam, and the start of his faction.

Seeing how one of the most important people in his life died in order to save someone else, knowing that she could have survived, Shane couldn’t control himself anymore.

Bending down, his eyes turned wet as a single tear fell on Aisha’s cheek before he closed her eyes, giving her eternal rest.

The Lesser Behemoth had already been killed, but Shane’s wrath was not stilled yet.

He couldn’t control it anymore, and he instinctively knew that he had to let off some steam in order to prevent himself from going insane.

Because of that, Shane turned towards the Greater Darkness Lynxes without a single trace of hesitation.

His eyes that were filled with the intent to kill and his wrath, pierced through the remaining nine opponents at the Myst stage, making Shane’s next goal plain as day.

He wanted to get rid of all opponents that had attacked them, causing the shocking situation.

More than a hundred members of the Starlight guild had died, and the number of dead Valkyries was more than 50. It was only the Conquerors that had the fewest casualties.

Nevertheless, this didn’t calm Shane in the slightest. Rather, his rage increased further because his people had been killed just because the Primordial dimensions were not working properly, allowing Myst stage beings to enter a Basic dimension.

This was something that should have never happened, to begin with, but Shane was not sure who to blame.

After all, the Creator had already warned him about the malfunctions of the System and Primordial Dimensions that were about to happen with the slow deterioration of both.

It was only a matter of time when mankind would face a huge loss and the final countdown had already started. They had been failing for months, they had already failed, and what had happened today was bound to have happened sooner or later. Shane was fully aware of the same, his rational mind knew it.

Despite that, accepting it as an accident that could have happened to anyone was not something he could do easily.

That was the case because it would mean that the human race might as well be cursed.

It was only a few months ago that everything had begun to go downhill for mankind after the Calamity-ranked dungeon had appeared.

It had initiated a chain reaction wherein the Dark Ice elves had begun with their plan without bothering about the lives of others, decimating several races.

The thought of the Dark Ice elves that were almost certainly the cause for Igra’s destruction that should happen soon according to the Creator’s words, fueled Shane’s rage further.

He was already in a bad mood, but his mind had dragged him down a weird path of train of thoughts, which he didn’t even want to go.

As such, Shane ignored his pained body and skin that was tearing apart, only to be partially healed with the nature affinity as a spatial portal manifested right in front of him.

Crossing the distance of more than half a kilometer with a single spatial portal that consumed a large amount of mana, he appeared right in front of the closest Greater Darkness Lynx that stared at him in fear.

His bloodlust-killing-intent was still permeating through a wide radius in his surroundings, enveloping all Greater Darkness Lynxes at once.

They were relatively close, and Shane, who was still holding the Invincible Scimitar, thrust it out, only to retract it a moment later.

Dark crimson blood was smeared on the faintly vibrating blade that was inserted with a large amount of mana, increasing its endurance and sharpness.

The Infinite enhancement ability was fully utilised and strong enough to cross the limitation of a weapon at the peak of the Basic dimension.

This was exceptional, but Shane couldn’t care less about that right now.

What he cared about was only to kill, and put all the lynxes to their deaths, a task Shane fulfilled masterfully as he slashed and hacked the Invincible Scimitar a total of nine times, while manifesting in a new position after every sword thrust.

Shane didn’t even waste time in ensuring that his prey was dead because he was sure that he had landed a fatal blow every single time.

The Greater Darkness Lynxes didn’t expect Shane to have such a rapid movement speed that it was possible for him to slash out and retract his weapon, only to disappear in a spatial portal, repeating the same procedure a fraction of a second later.

This allowed Shane to exhibit a combat prowess he couldn’t reach under normal means, which was something even the other Conquerors hadn’t witness beforehand, as they stared at Shane in shock, the moment he emerged in front of him, protecting them, only to disappear a moment later.

Because of that, they were unguarded and died with their last memory being Shane’s face that was filled with a mixture of anger and the pain of having lost someone close to him.

Aisha may have not been his family, let alone his love interest, but she had still been an important friend to him, who didn’t deserve to have died as she did.

The thought of how Aisha and the others had died made Shane angry, but there was nothing else left to release his pent-up anger anymore.

As such, he retracted his mana, while transferring the excessive part back to the soul world’s energy storage.

His bloodlust-killing-intent simply vanished after he had killed the last Greater Darkness Lynx, ending the nightmare for everyone around.

This caused them to cheer for a short moment, only to realise how many of their comrades had died during the last half an hour.

It was devastating, and quickly replaced everyone’s earlier joy with pain and agony.

There had been so many things most people wanted to do together, and Shane knew that Aisha had been eager to colonize the next planet.

Not only that, but she had also been happy that they had found a way out of their misery that was caused by the Dark Ice elves’ threat. She had been relieved to find out that they were the most likely reason for Igra’s destruction as well as the System and Primordial dimensions’ disappearance, which should happen soon.

Aisha had been one of the optimists about their situation despite looking like an Icy queen, which made her unpopular to some, who didn’t know much about her background.

In reality, she hadn’t been cold, but rather kind and a warm-hearted human.

Sighing deeply, another tear trickled down his cheek, only for Shane to wipe it away before his eyes turned cold.

He treasured her memories along with the pain and agony of her loss and hoped that something like this would never ever happen again.

Shane knew that this was unlikely and an extremely childish thought because the colonization of a new planet was bound to bring forth problems they could not sense as of now.

Furthermore, certain traits of mankind were much worse than one could imagine, which was something Shane knew to a certain degree.

Despite that, the worst incident caused by mankind’s treacherous traits was just about to happen, and Shane could have never expected that something would make his heart break more than it had been broken today!
