Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 357 - All-in

Shane was glad about Ilya's decision to fight, and an entire week had flown by without them realising.

There were only three days left before the 4th floor's task was completed.

While Ilya had collected more than 7,000 value points, Shane's points had increased to over 21,000.

He had been at the 5th rank but was now in the top 3 because the first-place holder had defeated the two that had been above him, pushing them to the 4th and 5th rank.

Rank number one had collected 100,000 value points and it was impossible to not be jealous.

However, at the same time, Shane knew that he had more than enough points.

His reward was bound to be great!

Unfortunately, there was only one small issue that levitated in the air less than 100 meters away from both Princess Ilya and Shane.

It was rank number two, who had more than 35,000 value points!

To their misfortune, rank number 2 had not only a high mana purity of 98% but also a physique that was partially perfected.

He belonged to a winged race Shane had never seen before, but that was not the case with Princess Ilya.

According to her information, the young prodigy in front of them was called Oran.

He hailed from the Misyr race that was one of the stronger basic races with wings and an inborn thunder affinity.

The more Shane heard, the more excited he became, while Princess Ilya was just trying to ignore his weirdness.

With the bow of destruction in his hand, Shane's eyes gleamed as he nocked the first arrow.

Both Umbra and Cosmo were still hidden inside his soul bound world, and Ilya circulated both darkness and light transmuted mana through her body, ready to release both at once.

While shooting out several arrows in rapid succession, Shane noticed that Oran didn't even try to deflect them.

Instead, he seemed to be using a specific movement technique that increased his speed drastically.

After evading the arrows without any difficulties, Oran shot towards Shane without any delay.

A three-meter-long spear manifested in his hand as thick electric currents enveloped it.

Only a moment later, Oran appeared in front of Shane.

The bow of destruction had already been replaced with Mydra, the Sword of Blood as Shane released his entire bloodlust-killing-intent and huge streams of mana at once.

Utilizing the [Mana membrane(Lesser)] skill by supplying it with a large amount of mana, he additionally circulated a large amount of mana through his body, further strengthening himself.

At the same time, he exerted the [Light step] movement technique while the [Slaughterer's Path] had already been utilized.

Mydra's entire capabilities were unleashed at once, but despite doing all of the above Shane knew that he was unable to defend against Oran, whose speed was lightning fast.

Gritting his teeth, he was forced to transfer a large amount of mana from the Hidden Paradise, which he mostly supplied to his [Mana membrane] skill in order to thicken his defense.

The rest was directly circulated through his body to further increase his combat prowess.

His body was aching heavily, and blood was oozing out of his pores. Nevertheless, the aura he was suddenly releasing was frightening enough to intimidate the Misyr, whose wings had stiffened for a quarter of a second.

Princess Ilya didn't remain idle as a bystander and rushed to Shane's aid. She explosively released her light affinity, dazzling Oran, and forced him to close his eyes.

At that moment, Shane advanced forward instead of retreating as he slashed out with the Blood of Sword that was thirsty for blood.

The bloodlust-killing-intent had been inserted into it, allowing the Sword to execute a strength Shane hadn't expected.

Using all kinds of advantages he could, Shane saw how his sword was about to cut through Oran's right arm that was holding the spear.

Suddenly, just a quarter of a second later, the young prodigy sacrificed his left arm instead. He lifted it, slowing down the sword's pace.

This gave Oran enough time to adjust the angle of his wings as he kicked Shane into his abdomen.

Under normal circumstances, Oran's left arm would have been severed, however, because they were inside the flaure tower dungeon, to be precise at a floor that prevented killing people, his arm was just rendered entirely useless.

The pain Oran felt was still exactly the same as if his arm had been cut, but Shane didn't even see a tiny wrinkle appear on his forehead. His facial expressions gave nothing away!

Shane could only frown at this sight as he was forced to retreat a few steps.

Oran's simple kick was strong enough to cause this, and it was once again evident how strong certain opponents could be.

Without taking a single breath, Shane advanced forward, attacking Oran mercilessly. Meanwhile, Princess Ilya was preparing an onslaught of several hundred lightning and darkness spears she was conjuring around her.

It was not necessary for her to attack the young prodigy directly. Instead, she could also obstruct him.

As such, she decided to act as a support, knowing that her mana purity of [93%] was far from enough to defeat Oran.

Throwing out a dozen long-range attacks one after another, Ilya obstructed Oran's escape path creating hurdles that would annoy him.

Yet, what Shane noticed was that Oran was smiling!

He was not even the slightest bit afraid of Shane, let alone Ilya. Instead, he seemed to be savoring the current fight.

Though he had lost one arm, there were more than enough means left to attack his opponents.

With that being said, he enveloped himself in thick electric currents that acted like little snakes, lunging at Shane whenever he was close enough.

This was a skill Oran had learned, and it was only when the first thunder snake finally hit Shane, that the young prodigy decided to start with his counteroffensive attack.

Shane had already expected that Oran wouldn't remain idle.

Nevertheless, the paralyzing effect caused by the thunder snakes was stronger than he had expected.

He comprehended that Oran would attack now, and it was exactly as assumed.

However, unbeknownst to Oran, Cosmo had already manifested behind Shane. He opened a spatial portal with his [Space Jump] ability, teleporting him several meters above Oran.

Instead of retreating Shane had decided to go all in.

As he emerged above Oran, he ordered Umbra, who had already slithered through the Hidden Paradise by reaching his highest possible speed to open a portal. This allowed him to shoot out of Shane's chest with a terrific speed.

Oran might have not seen Cosmo, but the spatial portal above him was something he had barely perceived.

However, just as he was about to look at the sky, darkness enveloped him as a loud roar resounded through the entire area.

Both Princess Ilya and Umbra had explosively released their darkness affinities at the same time and released pitch-black fog, preventing Oran from seeing Umbra.

Despite Oran's greatest trait being his high speed, which included his lightning-fast reflexes, he had been unable to comprehend what was shooting towards him.

Because Oran had slowed down in order to take Shane down, who had intentionally reduced the pace at which he retreated, Oran was unable to evade Umbra anymore.

As such, suspicious about the unknown, he had to use all of his remaining mana in order to pierce his spear up in the air.

How could he have expected that Cosmo would manifest two new sets of spatial portals that were extremely close next to each other?

One spatial portal was a meter away from Oran's right arm, exactly at the spot he'd pierced with his spear into thin air owing to the correlated spatial portal that was somewhere in the air.

However, the more important fact was that the second spatial portal that had manifested in front of Umbra, allowed it to evade being pierced if something were to go wrong.

The second part of the spatial portal manifested on the ground below Oran, allowing Umbra to use his current pace to reach him.

At the same time, Shane was falling towards Oran, allowing him to distract the young prodigy by revealing his entire combat prowess.

The Hidden Paradise's mana absorption rate was fully unleashed at once, while he transferred a large amount of mana into his body to release it at once.

The distraction was as perfectly employed as Shane had expected, and he could sense how Umbra mawed on Oran before he threw him to the ground.

A moment later the darkness enshroudment had already dissipated, allowing the hundreds of darkness and light spears to shoot straight into Oran.

In order to finish off his opponent for good, Shane 'beheaded' the young prodigy, who was unable to move a single muscle.

Oran was shocked because he was unable to comprehend what had just happened.

Nevertheless, he couldn't help but smile faintly, happy about having fought such a terrific battle as he lost consciousness.
