Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 303 - End

Shane knew that something big was about to happen because the Boreas mercenaries, the Valkyries and Miriam, who had recuperated her energy during the last few hours were teaming up.

While the Valkyries had an average mana purity of around 85%, the Boreas mercenaries were an even stronger elite team!

Nevertheless, as an individual, Miriam was the strongest, because she had two perfect body refinement stages, a mana purity of 96% and the Innate ability called Phoenix fire!

Thus, under normal circumstances, she could fight on her own.

It was just that her current opponents were too many and each of them was strong!

Yet, Shane was confident that the combined forces of Boreas mercenaries, Aisha, Miriam, and the rest of the Valkyries were more than enough to kill or force the three Overlords to retreat!

Meanwhile, the Starlight guild members focused on Awakened stage beasts and Shane targeted the Elite stage beasts with Umbra and Cosmo's support.

He had to achieve the best results for the first mission of the Hidden-Universal missions!

As such, Shane took the most efficient path without hindering someone.

When he utilized every possible means to fight in the beast tide, Shane felt almost invincible.

But that was only because he had yet to fight against Overlords and Superior peak-Awakened stage beasts!

Time passed slowly, and instead of mindlessly slaughtering all kinds of beasts, Shane prevented his mind from being corrupted and overwhelmed by his tamed beast's wild instincts.

Instead, he tried to utilize those instincts in order to sharpen his senses, which was successful to some extent.

It was more difficult than Shane had expected, but at least it worked., His instinctive, subtle movements were precise and allowed Shane to exert more force with the Sword of Blood, Mydra!

The countdown had reached [52h:34m:48s] when Shane diverted his full attention from the battlefield that was littered with corpses, organs, and blood that soaked the soil turning it blood-red to the three Overlords that were slowly losing their upper hand against the combined forces of mankind's strongest prodigies.

Mankind had several prodigies, but Miriam was said to be the cream of the crop, while Aisha was only shortly behind.

Apparently, the number of prodigies that were currently having a mana purity at or above 90% was only in the three digits, and far away from being numbered in the thousands.

When Shane saw what the situation at the opponent's side looked like, he sighed in relief. He then turned towards the collapsed shelter wall, only to see that the entire shelter had been destroyed.

'At least, the Dimension Portal is left unscathed and hasn't been conquered!' He thought before Shane inserted more mana into his [Eagle Eye] skill in order to see whether there were still beasts inside the shelter or if the reinforcement had already killed every single one of them.

The latter seemed to be the case and after Shane noticed this he decided to use his remaining energy to kill as many opponents as possible!

**

Shane laid on the blood-soaked battlefield and was unable to move a single inch when he had heard that the entire beast tide had been taken care off.

He was not sure how many defenders had died or if Aisha, Frer, and Miriam were fine, but Shane was unable to think about them.

Having utilized two skills, two martial art techniques and some mana stored within the Hidden Paradise had taken its toll on Shane's body, but he had also improved his martial art techniques and his bloodlust-killing-intent during the entire beast tide!

Comprehending a martial art technique did not happen without comprehension and effort, and Shane had paid attention to the information he knew about the techniques and thought about ways to improve himself.

As such, neither his mind nor his body wanted to move anymore.

The only thing that caused him to do something was the fact that he had received multiple system notifications informing him about the status of his Hidden-Universal mission!

Yet, instead of joy, Shane couldn't help but curse when he read the content of the messages

[Mission <God of Slaughter> has been successfully completed!

Kill count: 173,493                Remaining time: [49H:56M:45S]

Reward: Part [2 of 2] of the <Hidden-Universal-Mission> has been unlocked and the host received extra credits for the completion of the first mission! Congratulations!]

This was somewhat good and annoying at the same time because Shane had hoped that his rewards would be a part of the entire Hidden-Universal-Mission, thus, the perfect body refinement technique for the Expert stage!

Unfortunately, this was not the case, but what soured Shane's mood was the next message!

[[Hidden-Universal-Mission] |2 out of 2| <Real Enemy> has been activated!

[Real Enemy] Host has to figure out the truth behind the four Overlord beast tide and find the real enemies behind the attack! [1(Destar) of 3]

Reward after completing both missions: [Tier-2 Mythic] body refining and supreme tickets according to the completion degree!]

The truth behind the Overlord beast tide should be obvious and Shane assumed that he had already figured it out.

Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense that the mission showed him that there were a total of three 'real' enemies, and even that one of them had already been found!

Shane had been sure that the Destar race was behind the beast tide, and it was probably only due to the fact that he had seen them demonize other Superior peak-Awakened stage beasts that the system had instantly accepted this as the completion of the first stage of the three-stage mission.

Nevertheless, there was still a different problem!

'Why are there a total of three enemies that caused the Overlord beast tide and how am I supposed to find the remaining two enemies?'

The Destar race's shelter would be a journey of two to three weeks from their RadiantRing shelter, and Shane's first thought was that there were another two races that combined their forces to ambush the human race.

However, Shane disregarded this thought almost immediately because it didn't make sense.

'They could have just overwhelmed us by combining their forces as three foreign races and overwhelmed the shelter…'

If he were to be in the foreign races' situation, Shane would have combined their forces to ambush the humans by investing in certain relics to enter the proximity of the RadiantRing shelter and obliterate everything within a single day.

That was why Shane found it unreasonable that three foreign races decided to use their precious funds to create a huge overlord beast tide, only to demolish the RadiantRing shelter.

In the end, it was not even successful and Shane's brain that was already aching began to work again.

He was still lying within the blood, but couldn't care less about it as Cosmo manifested a spatial portal below him and above Umbra's head.

Thus, Shane fell on Umbra's head and stayed there, too tired to move.

'Are you guys bored or what? What is wrong with me lying on the ground?' He wondered, only to barely lift his head where he saw the members of the Starlight guild waiting for him.

They seemed to be as exhausted as he was, thus, he said

"I'll transport all of  you to factions nurturing ground, okay?"

The others smiled when they heard this and approached Shane, who opened the gate between the Hidden Paradise and the outside world.

Each member of the Starlight guild quickly walked inside, and Talia opened the Space Door of the Hidden Paradise.

It was connected to the Neptua Ladra region, or to be precise, with the Astral Starlight nurturing grounds that had already constructed a small, calming, and recuperating area for the Starlight guild!

While the others could rest there, Shane knew that he would be unable to move for the next few hours.

At the same time, he was fully aware of the fact that Umbra was not allowed to enter the radiant mountain ring dimension because of his huge size.

In Shane's opinion, this didn't matter anymore because the shelter was already devastated and not a single structure had survived the tide as rubble and dust covered every inch of the ground within the shelter!

Nevertheless, he decided to go according to the rules.

He didn't even want to be seen like this, carried through the shelter by Umbra either way!

Just when he thought about this, Shane heard several steps, and they seemed to approach him.

'Please just let me rest in peace!!!'

However, when he looked up to see the few dozen Valkyries, Frer, Aisha, and Miriam, Shane couldn't help but nervously ask.

"Are...you guys fine?"
