Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 291 - Weird Coincidences

"Split your soul from your physical body? That's possible?"

Yet, instead of receiving an answer, Shane could only see Nala shrugging her shoulders.

The situation turned awkward and it took less than 10 minutes before both Nala and Princess Ilya excused themselves.

It was an abrupt ending to their conversation, but only Shane and those belonging to his Astral Starlight faction were left behind.

Thus, he and the others also had no need to stay back for long anymore.

Instead, they remained in the Stella-Mansion as long as it was necessary before leaving as well.

Shane had searched for his aunts and uncles and only left afterward, while Kylia and Jack had talked to their parents for a few minutes.

The atmosphere was less taxing for the two siblings than Shane had expected, but the situation with their parents was still not great.

It seemed that they had to work slowly on their relationship if that was something either side wanted!

Yet, from Shane's perspective, this was something neither Kylia and Jack nor their parents wanted.

'Maybe, I'm a little bit more fortunate than them?' He thought, not sure whether it even made sense.

John Stella had a bad temper, yet he was somewhat emotionless. At the same time, he was known for forcing his way through everything, which meant that he also forced his opinion on Shane.

However, the main issues that had created conflicts between the father and son, for instance, Shane's forced marriage and his father's rather controlling behavior of not letting Shane make his own decisions were not there anymore. Now, Shane began to wonder whether his father had planned all of that or not!

'Was that my own merits or am I still a marionette, just that I might not be aware of it anymore…?'

Shane was not sure about anything, because it looked like his father had changed a little bit.

Nevertheless, this could have also been his own perspective and not something others had to find weird.

Thinking about such topics was depressing and Shane wanted, but at the same time, didn't want to know the answer to the questions he had in mind.

Sometimes it was better to be unaware of the truth than knowing it!

Once everyone was done, they left the Stella mansion and returned to the Shirai academy.

While the others changed their clothes and went to sleep, Shane didn't feel like sleeping right now.

There were many things he had to take care of, and the first thing he wanted to do was to increase his body refinement to the 10th Expert stage.

Since Miriam had said that she would be joining the Starlight guild if he were to defeat her, Shane couldn't help but feel that it was one of the biggest opportunities he had received until now!

If Miriam were to be a Starlight guild member, his advertisement's efficiency would increase multiple times, while the same applied to his reputation.

As such, Shane felt that he should become stronger, and faster than he had been until now!

He was not sure how long she would remain in the basic dimensions because her mana purity had already reached 96%!

The only advantage Shane had figured out was that Miriam wanted to increase her mana purity to 98%, which meant that she had to accomplish another system mission.

Otherwise, she wouldn't receive a mana purification manual with 98%.

'I will take much longer than Miriam to reach such a high mana purity, and I won't even accept the mission for 96% or 98% if I don't want to stay for too long within the Basic Dimensions. At least, not if I don't have to! A perfect mana purification manual will be extremely difficult to obtain, but if I can't accomplish that in the future, I might as well take the same path as Miriam did.'

With that in mind, Shane entered the Dimension Portal to set his destination to Masua!

Its mana was much denser and purer than that of Igra and he was able to fill the Hidden Paradise's mana storage while refining his body.

Thus, he could solve many issues at once!

**

Two months flew by in a blur. Now, one could see a 25-centimeter tall silver furred fox that had golden stripes within its fur, jumping around a large, wooden basin, using its spatial affinity to play around with the 80-meter long-horned snake that pursued it.

Both Umbra and Cosmo had reached a higher quality before he had departed to Masua, and only later did Shane find out how strong they had become.

Umbra's strength was comparable to someone at the Expert stage with a mana purity of 70%, and that was without utilizing the [Limit breaker] title!

Meanwhile, Cosmo had already broken into the 2nd Awakened stage as he reached the [Rare] quality!

Unfortunately, Shane had been unable to increase Umbra and Cosmo's quality further during the last two months, but that hailed mainly from the fact that the quality upgrade function was unable to increase one's quality too many times in succession.

After doing a repetitive quality enhancement a beast had to adjust to the strengthened body and it would be too taxing for the beast to keep up with the bombarding of too many quality upgrades at once.

Considering the countdown which the <Quality upgrade> gave him as the most optimal period to initiate the next quality upgrade, he still had to wait more than one month!

But that was not a problem, and time was what he had in abundance right now.

Thus, he decided to patiently wait because his Astral Artisans were becoming more efficient in constructing the Greater Astral towers which allowed them to earn a huge fortune.

Nevertheless, it would still take more than two years, maybe even three to four until he had accumulated the required fortune in order to awaken Hidden Paradise's mana heart.

Shane could also lessen the required time by investing less of their profits in nurturing his Artisans, but that was not something he wanted to do right now!

They were still learning and becoming more efficient, and Shane wanted to provide the best of the best service to earn the Artisans' loyalty while nurturing them so as to earn more gold coins for him.

This was exactly what was happening, and the only disadvantageous fact was that the mana consumption within his soul bound world increased on a daily basis.

The main culprit for this was the Nightshade flower field that was about to expand rapidly.

From less than 4000 Nightshade flower roots, their whole field had now increased to a total of 12,000 flowers.

This not only meant that they would earn much more, but also that the required mana increased by a large margin!

Fortunately, Shane had spent the last two months on Masua, which meant that the Hidden Paradise had absorbed more than enough mana to supply itself for a long time.

He didn't have to worry about anything, and more worrisome was the other news that had reached him.

Many Starlight guild members had tried to complete system missions and most were successful thanks to the help they received from the other members.

However, there was an ominous similarity between almost all missions, which was that they were all about the Radiant mountain ring!

This caused Shane to become suspicious and based on the news Talia had acquired, the same happened to other Cultivators.

From the looks of it, some had even received the exact same mission, which could end up in a huge conflict, once the system said that one had to solve the allocated mission alone!

Nevertheless, the Starlight Guild didn't have many problems in that aspect, and the only slightly worrisome missions were the extremely difficult ones.

When Shane heard about the beast one Starlight guild member had to kill, he decided to help.

This was not only to act friendly with his guild but also to figure out what was going on with the Radiant mountain ring dimension.

Killing the [Hellfire Sabertooth tiger], that was the beast pointed out by the system, was only possible in dimensions mankind had yet to expand too, and the Radiant mountain ring dimension!

One Hellfire Sabertooth tiger had been found in the radiant mountain ring dimension, and Shane decided that it was time to procure more information while helping his friends.

At the same time, Talia had informed him about certain rumors spreading through PrimWeb.

They were not about the Radiant mountain ring dimension, but more about Shane himself!

Since his attention-grabbing appearance at the Stella-Mansion, big families had begun to gather intel about him, and several dozen images of him had been posted within the unofficial part of the human section's PrimWeb!

This caused Talia to become a little bit worried, but Shane assured her that everything was fine.

There was no need for him to hide, and most rumors about him were wrong either way.

In the end, one couldn't even tell the lies from the truth and there was no need for Shane to do anything at all.

If he were to do something, it might as well be counterproductive.
