Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 256 - Exam Results

Two weeks flew by which Shane had spent on Masua.

He had encountered several Elementals during that time, but other than those and a few placid beasts, there was no living being he had to pay attention to.

During those two weeks, he had studied everything necessary for the exam while teaching the others.

Other than that, he refined his body for a few hours a day and attained the 1st rank of a perfect Apprentice physique.

Meanwhile, Hidden Paradise's mana absorption was fully unleashed during the whole time and Shane was able to passively exert the [Tier-2 (Gold)] mana purification technique without the need to think too much about it.

Shane mainly focused on venturing through the forests, mountains, and other regions within Masua that were much lusher and vivid than they were on Igra.

At the same time, Umbra and Cosmo were next to him enjoying the time they could spend with Shane.

Cosmo's loyalty had increased to 35%, but Shane didn't focus on that statistic for now. It would take a while for Cosmo to reach a loyalty of 80% and that was totally fine with him.

He didn't want to pressure his new companion, and that was exactly what he was supposed to do, allow Cosmo to breathe freely.

His earnings from the artisan group hadn't increased by much during the last two weeks, because Shane had asked everyone to focus on studies instead.

Only one ballista had been manufactured and sold, while the number of high-quality Nightshade flower roots he possessed increased slowly.

Louis and Elyon spent some time nurturing [Trash] quality Nightshade flower roots to [Common] quality roots, but that was also much easier than it had been before.

It was fortunate that Shane went to Masua because the sheer quantity of high-quality mana the Hidden Paradise absorbed was perfect.

The profits they earned by selling the ballistae were fully used as an investment because Shane didn't need his share right now while even Dyr and Han rejected their share of 200 gold coins each.

What Shane hadn't expected Talia to enforce immediately, was that everyone, even she and her own group had to earn the same share as everyone who joined the artisan group.

The 10%-15% of the goods' profits one manufactured, were further divided equally among everyone who worked on it.

This meant that the 370 to 555 gold coins Dyr and Han would earn by selling the ballistae, after using three sets of materials that were worth 100 gold coins each, had to be divided by two.

Nevertheless, to earn around 200 gold coins per week was an outstanding feat, considering that one didn't need to face any dangers!!

After the Space Door had been placed, the dangers one had to face within the Hidden Paradise were non-existent, if one were to exclude accidents at work that could occur.

Maya, and Talia were also studying a lot but contrary to the others, they didn't end up studying for hours.

As such, they had more than enough time to take care of the other tasks, so his world wasn't entirely neglected.

Talia finished the faction-employment contract and Maya was about to attain the right to claim the [Platinum] quality Architect occupation as hers!

Meanwhile, Aisha, Frer, Aimy and Olivia whom he had overwhelmed two weeks ago, had finally adjusted themselves to the thought that Shane had a taming skill and that he harbored a world within him.

It shocked them, but only Aisha and Frer could truly understand what this meant.

One could say that a world within one could be used extremely versatilely, whether it was the path Shane took, a way to transport tens of thousands people from one location to another without attracting too much attention or to allow others to seek asylum within the world.

Other than that there were much more ways in which one could make use of a world within one's body and Shane was taking one of the most obvious paths!

Yet, what astonished Aisha was the fact that Shane had used the perfect timing to create a small artisan group. This was indicative of the fact that he was fully aware that Igra's mana heart would awaken in the near future.

This was not really a surprise, but Aisha began to ask herself whether Shane would be able to establish the foundation for the Artisan group fast enough to dominate the Artisan field or if the government's connections and funds were too much for him to overcome.

Both the former and the latter were fine and nobody would receive major disadvantages.

Because Aimy and Olivia had to study as well, they spent lots of time within the Hidden Paradise, while Aisha and Frer paid a visit once a week.

They found it extremely convenient that the Space door within the Hidden Paradise was connected to the colosseum's basement as well!

Shane had already left Masua several hours ago, and the dense mana around him vanished completely.

Igra was still a manaless world and Shane couldn't help but be glad that this wouldn't be the case for too long anymore.

All students within the Shirai academy, from the first to the third year, had exams, and everyone who was not injured or had a proper excuse, like a time-bound mission to solve, had to write it!

There was no preferential treatment given to anyone and the only advantage of such final exams was the fact that one could obtain rewards by becoming one of the students with the highest score of the entire batch of new admissions.

However, those rewards were not enticing enough for Shane to make him spend too much of his time studying, and instead, he began to ask himself what exactly he was still doing within the Shirai academy.

'The Shirai academy has lost its former use...I don't need the Dimension-spheres anymore...at least not now! Should I think of the Shirai academy as a means to socialize and familiarize myself with more students having non-combat-oriented occupations? I could do the same for students with combat-oriented occupations too….'

While thinking about the importance he should give the Shirai academy and its use to Shane, he subconsciously answered the exam questions.

They were neither difficult nor extremely easy to solve, but Shane had yet to notice that he had already started answering questions!

He thought that the exam had yet to start which was why he had been so deep in thoughts.

Just like that, several hours had passed and the exam finished, while Shane was still deep in thoughts.

It was only then that he was drawn out of his train of thoughts.

Shaking his head, Shane couldn't help but feel extremely weird as he mumbled,

"The exam is already over?"

He was still seated in the chair, right in front of the holographic screen with the exam results written on it.

"At least, I passed, I guess?" He thought after he saw the 73% score he had achieved.

It was the worst result he had obtained since Aunt Kia started to teach him, but it was still way above the 60% one required to pass the exam.

Yet, Shane could tell that he was eyed weirdly by his classmates who had seen his score.

"Didn't you say that he is a genius...what kind of genius scores just 73% in the final exams?" One of the braver students asked his friends, without trying to be discreet.

It was as if the student wanted Shane to hear him and get a rise out of him.

Shane turned around to look at the youth who had been gossiping about him and replied with a grin.

"At least, you know who I am, you are not even good enough to be remembered!"
