Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 102 - Coincidence?

After a while, watching the youths fight turned extremely boring for Shane. If he didn't know better, he would have joined their fight just for the adrenaline kick. Having observed them for the last few minutes, he could confidently say that he was stronger than them.

However, even if he was stronger, showing off his combat prowess on the first day he met them wasn't a good idea. This could lead them to be humiliated and he knew that it would be the wrong way to establish a firm relationship.

As such, he remained quiet while thinking of his future path and what exactly he should do, once all exams were over.

Excluding the mandatory subjects, Shane wanted to take a look at the combat lessons and how efficient they would be compared to the lessons he had received from his family.

'First, I should complete my perfect Mortal physique and enter the Apprentice stage...My funds should be more than enough, but if the threads on Primweb are not wrong, the Radiant mountain ring dimension is slowly gaining popularity because of the expensive beast carcasses…'

However, even though the popularity of the Radiant mountain ring dimension began to slowly rise, the destruction and deaths caused by the bloodlust thunder wolf seemed to suppress the interest of many merchants.

News of the gruesome battle that had occurred in the Radiant mountain ring dimension had spread like wildfire. They feared the destruction of the shelter and the loss of goods, which would be worse than having fewer profits, but what worried them most was the fact that the bloodlust thunderwolf was still alive. The merchants were greedy but they loved their lives above everything else. This caused the RadiantRing shelter's population to rise only slowly, with many hurdles.

Contrary to the reaction of most merchants and adventurers, Shane predicted that the government would act rashly because they would have most likely already figured out the sheer number of elemental crystals all over the mountain range.

Shane doubted that the government hadn't already hired hundreds of workers to mine multiple caves while guarding them with Elite military units.

If they couldn't even ensure normal laborers' safety against the bloodlust thunder wolf, the authorities in charge should just resign and let others take care of such matters.

'My cave is well hidden and looks extremely small from outside, most likely not even like an elemental crystal cave, since I started mining there...maybe...there will only be a few beasts inhabiting the cave, instead of humans excavating the whole cave?'

Without a credible source of news to support his theory, Shane could only rely on the fact that he had barely found the scaled lizard elemental crystal cave himself. It was only because of the mission awarded by the system that he had been able to locate the cave which was very well hidden from the surroundings.

It had taken him an excruciatingly long amount of time when he had been to the same cave for the second time. There were no directions from the system to guide him the second time but fortunately, he had a good memory that helped him remember the majority of the way to the cave. This led him to assume that humans might not have found the cave yet.

As such, Shane was in a rather good mood, when he noticed that the two apprentice stage youths had finished their "intense" fight.

Standing up, he greeted the two youths, while revealing his stage, causing the other youths to smile weirdly, as they proudly Introduced themselves.

With this, Shane found out that both of them had a boastful character, without any backings. They were barely at the 3rd & 4th Apprentice stage, which was not something to brag about.

Apparently, the two youths had known each other since they were young and liked to talk a lot. Shane could only accept the fact, as he nodded his head, frowning inwardly

'Why are there so many chit-chatters? Olivia is still fine but these two are just annoying…' Not wanting to endure their onslaught of words, Shane decided to take a walk outside the dorm in order to get to know the Shirai academy.

He walked around aimlessly for a while, appreciating the scenery. The academy was built on a vast expanse of land and the huge academy grounds were filled with blooming flowers and large trees.

Further, in the distance, Shane even noticed a large forest that he approached curiously.

He wasn't sure why, but he felt attracted to the tranquility radiating from the forest, as he instinctively activated his mana gathering technique.

'Huh? Does the forest radiate faint traces of mana? And the density seems to increase the deeper I venture inside the forest!!'

As he looked at the different kinds of trees, Shane also recalled that they had different qualities, which was hardly helpful in normal cases.

However, since Shane had purchased the beast sealing card with its [extraordinary] quality and the [soul connection] ability, his train of thought changed slightly.

'Are these trees from the Primordial Dimension? Maybe even at the extraordinary quality? If that's the case, can they produce faint traces of mana through a similar process as the photosynthesis?'

Right when he was about to enter the forest, he noticed a notification pop up in front of him.

[Host is about to enter a special zone, which the [Shirai Academy] has claimed. If the host doesn't want to infiltrate the [Tranquil forest] unlicensed, causing an alarm, the host has to pay 1 gold coin, in order to receive one-time access permission(no time limit).]

Shane was astonished to read this notification

'You can even claim a zone/territory through the system? That's amazing!! It should also be extremely expensive...but this price is cheap. Is Aunt Kia now a fraud?'

With his train of thoughts changing from one possibility to another, each turned out to be more unlikely and stupider than the prior, and calling his Aunt fraud was the weirdest thought he ever had.

This couldn't be the answer, as he began to change his train of thought to figure out the real reason.

Curiosity overwhelmed him, and he paid one gold coin in order to enter the forest, without causing an alarm, as he entered the forest's outskirts.

'It's not even that much of a difference if I were to compare it to the shelter....maybe the core area has an even higher mana particle density?!' This shocked Shane greatly because it was a big difference if he were to enter the Shelter to cultivate or if he could have his peace on Igra.

But this was only the case, if nobody else, or only a few serious students were to enter the forest in order to cultivate or breakthrough.

Previously, Shane didn't dare to break through outside the shelter wall with the sole exception when he was alone inside the depths of the elemental crystal cave.

However, in this case, he was alone without a single living being nearby or even remotely close to him, which was the reason for Shane to take a chance.

If he could breakthrough in Igra, without anyone hindering him, it could even be considered beneficial for his plan, which might change according to Shirai Academy's variety of combat teachers.

Furthermore, the biggest contrast the forest demonstrated was the tranquil aura, easing even the slightest tension Shane's body showed.

'With a light heart and body, cultivating should be much faster here…'

A bright smile appeared on his face as he completely exerted his mana gathering technique and walked for over ten minutes. Shane couldn't help but smile brightly, as he noticed that cultivating inside the [Tranquil forest] was extremely pleasing and he pondered if he should just stay inside the forest for a few weeks after the first exam and ranking period was over.

Suddenly, Shane noticed that the trees around him thinned, as he spotted a large crystal clear nestled amongst the greenery lake underlining the tranquil scenario.

It was extremely beautiful and looked magnificent. His eyes traveled through the lake as he tried to gauge its vastness when his eyes fell on someone. He saw a fair-skinned, beautiful white-haired woman, leaning on a large tree trunk next to the lake.

However, Shane was rather confused to see such a familiar figure here, as he mumbled

"Aisha Hael?!", which woke up the sleeping beauty from her dreamless sleep.

Looking up, she immediately noticed that she was not the only one overwhelmed by the scenario the lake presented, causing her to smile faintly at Shane.
