The girls were annoyed when Han refused to answer any of their questions. Dorea didn’t care about the questions but she just didn’t want Han to ignore her! She has been waiting to talk to him for so long in that void! She didn’t think that he would come and grab her out of there like that but why is he just ignoring her now!?

Gregory continued on his march through the castle. Some of the guards, who had run away when Vivian told them to, quickly ran towards the hall being used for the engagement party. They didn’t want to cause too much of a scene since this was the royal family’s event, so they quietly went up to the head maid and told her exactly what was going on. The head maid was shocked by it and she found it hard to believe. No one could escape from that prison where they put Gregory!
But what if it was true? The safety of the royal family is the most important thing in the kingdom. Should she allow her doubt to be the cause of their downfall!? The head maid decided that she would not let something like that happen! She quickly moved towards the queen and whispered something in her ear. The queen was shocked when she heard it and then she told her husband who was right beside her.
What the head maid told them was that there was an intruder in the castle and they needed to evacuate while the guards took care of it. The royal family was gently led out of the room along with Duchess Willow and her family. The rest of the guests were shocked to see the royal family leave like that but the head maid came forward and bowed to them all.
“Please excuse the interruption, there is something important that the royal family has to attend to. The party is still open for everyone to enjoy”
Murmurs rang through the hall. Something was more important than the party the king invited them to himself!? What kind of king throws a party and then leaves in the middle of it!?
No matter what anyone said the head maid was unmoved. She knows her job better than anyone in this hall and her main goal is to ensure the safety of the royal family! If all these people were to evacuate at the same time as the king, then would the intruder not be alerted to it and then come to attack them!? It would be better for the king and his family to leave first, by the time the intruder notices that the king is gone, then they would have already gone far!
Gregory may have dark magic, but that doesn’t make him invincible. He can only go so far against someone like her who has been studying magic for longer than he has been alive!
Well, at least that was what the head maid thought.
“Head maid! He’s already here!!”
What!? The head maid looked up in shock! Didn’t they tell her that Vivian was taking care of him? Even if he won, he shouldn’t have won so quickly! Vivian is a prodigy in their kingdom and one of the most promising knights they have! Why would she lose this fast to Gregory who hasn’t even been out in the sun for years!?

The people in the hall started to become nervous once these large explosive sounds were being heard outside. It was like someone was constantly slamming people’s bodies against the wall of the castle!
The head maid told the head guard to go after the royal family and ensure they were safe! He was a bit skeptical to leave like that but he understood that it was his duty to protect the royal family before anything else so he turned and ran after them. Once he was gone the head maid brought up her magic power and prepared to use it. Even if she was meant to only protect the royal family she still couldn’t let their guests die!

Those were the heavy sounds of a foot slamming against the hall door. It echoed through the hall and people were starting to panic. Some of the guests started moving towards the exit, but they were stopped by guards. The royal family hasn’t finished evacuating yet so they couldn’t be let through!
“W-What is that!? There is something out there!”
“The guards are blocking our way! And they allowed the royal family to pass!? What are you planning to do to us!?”
Screams like this started to float around the room and before long the head maid knew that there will be a riot. Regardless of how well people were brought up, everyone goes back to their default setting when faced with danger! They panic and lose control of their ability to think clearly!

The door to the hall finally flew off its hinges and everyone quieted down as they heard footsteps approaching through the dust cloud that was raised. The first thing that came into view was a head and people were glad when they saw that it was the prodigy knight Vivian! She was here to help them!! She must’ve stopped the intruder!
But they realized that they were wrong when they saw there was only a head without a body! Gregory came out from the dust cloud and threw the head towards the crowd of nobles. It rolled to a stop at the foot of the head maid and she swallowed nervously when Vivian’s empty eyes stared up at her.
Gregory swept his gaze across all the frightened people. The guards were too afraid to fight against someone that killed the head knight so easily and the nobles were just freaking terrified! His eyes narrowed when he didn’t see who he was looking for. His family isn’t here?
“Hey, isn’t that Gregory? That prince that uses dark magic?”
“Yes! I can see it now! They said they locked him up in a magic prison, didn’t they? Why is he out?”
“Maybe he used his dark magic to escape? Look how he looks evil! No wonder they locked him up!”
Gregory locked eyes with the head maid and she didn’t waste any time in trying to attack! Her magic attribute was earth and it was very versatile! She could control plants and also move large chunks of earth with only a thought! If Gregory was held back here, then it should give more time for the royal family to escape!!

Death! The head maid stopped in her tracks like a car with its emergency brake pulled! Right now she could tell that if she even tried to go any closer to Gregory then the only thing waiting would be her own death!

Gregory suddenly appeared in front of her and his hand grabbed her neck tightly! The guards in the room were all too frightened to even try and move to help her! The bloodlust was making their knees weak!
“My family, where are they? Don’t tell me that you actually allowed them to escape”
The head maid grimaced in pain! Her neck felt like it was being held by a metal rope! What kind of strength is this!? There is no way he is doing this with dark magic! Did something happen to him in prison?
“Y-You’ll never find them. The royal family is already safe”
Gregory immediately understood. So they evacuated his family before he could come here? How idiotic, they were just making things harder for everyone. Why didn’t they just stay here and die like the parasites they are?
