Chapter 553 - Danger.

Chapter 553: Danger.

The sky was dark and filled with hidden intentions. The sense of depression was thick in the air.

There were military vehicles driving along the Gobi road, and the rolling dust covered every mile they passed.

“Strange, the Khun Sa mercenary group is still not taking any action? They should have caught up by now!” Deputy Rice frowned and said to Powell, who was sitting next to him.

He, Powell and Mina were sitting in the jeep that was driving at the rear position; while two of the SEALs were at the front jeep, with Xiao Luo and Sarah in the middle jeep.

Powell frowned in thoughts. He was already prepared to engage in this difficult battle, but the Khun Sa mercenary group still had not made their presence known. What was happening? With their capabilities, it was impossible for them to lose track of Sarah. Was what Sarah said really true? Were they really cleaned up by this Chinese?

‘A lone person wiped out the Khun Sa mercenary group?’

‘How is that possible!’

‘It’s hard for him to believe such a thing.’

After a brief pause, he said solemnly, “Don’t lower your guard. The Khun Sa mercenary group is a group of cunning and ruthless people. We must keep a high degree of vigilance at all times.”

Rice nodded to show his understanding.

Rice then turned his head and looked at Mina and asked, “Mina, is there anything wrong?”

“I’m fine.”

Mina maliciously stared at the military vehicle in the middle. She loathed Xiao Luo to the depths of her soul.

“It’s okay. He’s just a sh*t-eating Chinese that can only hit women. This really gives me a new understanding of Chinese people.” Rice said.

“I already said stop, don’t turn a deaf ear to my words!” Powell reprimanded with a heavy voice. “You can see that the strength of this Mie is not simple. If we want to return to the coastal base without any additional casualties, we have to rely on his strength along the way. We must not target him again, at least not before returning to the coastal base. This is the first criterion you must abide by.”

“Yes, captain. We’ll listen to you. We will not target him again.”

Rice just shrugged it off and thought that Captain Powell was too reliant on this Chinese. ‘Why? They can’t finish their task without him? They can’t return to the coastal base without him? That’s just bullsh*t.’

Mina also scoffed, and felt that Powell was taking Xiao Luo too seriously. At best, that bastard knew a bit of martial arts. After all, Chinese martial arts was well-known all over the world. Therefore, in terms of skills, it was normal for her to lose to him. But if they compared it with hot weapons, she would not necessarily lose.

At this moment, the SEALs driving at the front suddenly came to a screeching halt, the others also followed. Due to the sudden stop, Powell, Rice and Mina were almost flung forward completely, and Rice’s forehead directly bumped against the front seat.

“Sh*t, Thomas, do you know how to drive?”

Rice yelled loudly at the SEAL who was sitting behind the wheels.

“Deputy Rice, you can’t blame me. It was the Chinese jeep that suddenly stopped.” Thomas was wronged as he pointed to the military vehicle in front.

“That annoying Chinese!” Hearing this, Rice immediately became dissatisfied with Xiao Luo. He was so angry that he flung open the door and went down.

When he walked down, Xiao Luo also just got out of their jeep. Rice went over to Xiao Luo with great dissatisfaction and asked loudly, “Why did you stop suddenly? Do you know that what you did was dangerous?”

Xiao Luo completely regarded him as air. He simply raised his head and looked into the distant sky.

Sarah got out of the car and her blue eyes looked suspiciously along the direction of Xiao Luo’s gaze. “It seems to be a sandstorm, but a sandstorm shouldn’t be so low to the ground. And it’s so close, but we still can’t feel any wind!”

Her tone wasn’t certain, as if she were exchanging opinions with Xiao Luo.

“That’s not a sandstorm!” Xiao Luo disagreed with her observation. “That’s the dust created by vehicles.”

“Hey, I’m talking to you, did you hear me?” Rice couldn’t hold back anymore and grabbed Xiao Luo’s shoulder.

But at the moment when his hand touched Xiao Luo’s shoulder, he received a kick as a response from Xiao Luo to his abdomen.

[Bang~]

Rice was forced to take five steps back. He covered his abdomen in agony. The pain was unbearable, like having an electric drill turning in his belly. His facial features were distorted from the pain.

“I don’t like being grabbed by the shoulder from behind.” Xiao Luo said with indifference.

“F*ck yo…” Rice was furious beyond belief but as he was about to curse, he subconsciously looked up and suddenly saw more than a dozen military vehicles appearing in front of them. The vehicles were gunning towards them like beasts emerging from the horizon, covering the sky with the dust they displaced at their speed.

Rice’s pupil suddenly contracted and his face changed. He immediately pointed in front and shouted, “Vehicles, vehicles up front!!!”

But his warning was actually unnecessary as the others had already seen it. The so-called sandstorm that Sarah pointed out was really the dust from these vehicles.

“Damn, it’s the black army!” Powell exclaimed after he checked the situation with a high-power telescope.

‘Black Army?!’

This chilled the hearts of the SEAL Team.

Powell immediately took action. “Mr. Mie, please protect Miss Sarah. You go first, we will handle this!”

Xiao Luo wasn’t gonna be polite to him either. He was not sure how many rebels they were up against, and also did not know their battle weaponry. He was not arrogant enough to play hardball with them head-on. He drove away with Sarah.

“F*CK, this timid Chinese was so quick to escape!” Rice disliked Xiao Luo and naturally thought of his escape cowardly.

“Shut up, we are facing a crisis right now!” Powell angrily scolded him, then waved his hand and said, “Get on the jeeps and withdraw!”

“Yes, sir.” The rest of the team responded quickly.

The two military vehicles, employing the fastest speed, quickly left the rebel’s attack range.

The Gobi Desert was made of gravel and sand, and as the jeeps drove across its vastness, sands were sent flying all over the sky. When Xiao Luo and his party chose a direction to escape from, the Black Army’s vehicles also changed direction and fanned out as they chased after them.

“Whoosh… whoosh…”

A rocket launcher roared and landed near Xiao Luo’s party’s vehicles. The ground shook, and the energy fluctuation in the air made their eardrum ring. Their line of sight also trembled.
