Chapter 1585 1578: Ruled by Beasts (1)

The Sky Heart Galaxy was smaller than the Abyssal Galaxy but not by much. Unlike the Abyssal Galaxy, whose original heart was placed by a fragmented graveyard of the leviathans, this galaxy was far more normal. The center contained the typical supermassive black hole that assisted in establishing its galactic territory, exerting a higher form of controlled gravity within these defined limits. Similar to planets, galaxies had a greater layer enveloping them, their shapes and borders were determined and maintained by this intangible layer.

However, the layer served as a demarcation that was hard to miss between the Void-Blank Space between galaxies and the space within. The most notable was the shift of gravity after entering within. While barely felt by the vast majority within the galaxy, entering this galactic layer would allow those with profound cultivations and exceptional senses to notice a subtle impression of force upon their bodies and a change of intrinsic chaos mana properties.

This gravity was terrifyingly strong, enough to maintain the general shape of an entire galaxy. It was often referred to by many names by many different races and species, but the most common names were: Galactic Shell or Galaxy Layer. The latter of which shared similarities with Sky Layers, the limits of Planets, Continental Flat Earths, and Lunar Satellites formed by their internally emitted galaxy and gaseous.

While the heart of a galaxy was often a supermassive black hole, that wasn't always the case as with the White Abyssal Galaxy and the Onestar Galaxy. The Sky Heart Galaxy had simply a black hole. It was long since dormant after consuming sufficient mass, material, energy, and mana long ago, stabilizing soon after, and had been for countless years.

The heart of the galaxy exuded a gorgeous glow thanks to the amalgamation of all sorts of energies, especially light energies.

As for its starfields, stellar regions, and galactic zones, while it had the first two, the situation of which was quite particular, galactic zones were nonexistent in a conventional sense. After all, this was a galaxy...ruled by beasts!

-----

At the edge of the Sky Heart Galaxy's Galactic Layer, a void vessel of fiery red emerged silently. Those on board were still a little woozy, the effects, despite them all making ample preparations, left them discombobulated and unbalanced.

Wei Wuyin's arms slyly found the soft waists of Yue Songli and Qing Qiumu, holding them together and keeping them upright.

The former smiled while the latter blushed, her eyes blinking as she tried to divert her attention elsewhere from the firm hand on her hip.

Meanwhile, Grey Rose's mouth was gaping, eyes unbelievably wide, and her nostrils were flared. Her eyeballs shifted to the left and right, almost comically exaggerated, as she felt the significant amount of space that was linked through the Void Portal Creation: Galactic Range. She could never have fathomed that Cap Cuifen's recounting of their arrival was like this!

THIS!

She knew that the group had traveled for weeks upon a bridge of rainbow light, which made perfect sense given the circumstances, and then they jumped the rest of the distance using Wei Wuyin's power. This was what she was told. In her mind, they had traveled roughly 90 to 99% of the way or were remarkably close to their galaxy to begin with, and then jumped the rest using extraordinary means.

One must know, they had BARELY left the White Abyssal Galaxy. Even to the last moment, she could still perceive her galaxy through her Ocular Spell with a glance, and if she wasn't using it, she just had to squint a little to focus her vision. The White Abyssal Galaxy would be like a white star in the distance to her, and her connection to her galactic zone's formations and arrays was still tethered.

However! The Void Portal they just took didn't bring them a small distance toward the next galaxy to save a little time. It traversed an inconceivable amount of distance! She could no longer feel her formations or array, and she, a Mystic Overlord, could no longer even see the White Abyssal Galaxy!

She gulped and her heart trembled ceaselessly. To establish a Void Portal to traverse such distance...how...

Grey Rose's faint lingering doubt toward her position that had seeped into her heart, the last remnants of her pride as an independent cultivator, was abolished thoroughly and her gaze toward Cao Cuifen had changed so thoroughly that those with keen perceptions may assume she was the maidservant assigned at birth with feelings of fanatical reverence in her heart for Cao Cuifen.

Young Master Shang grinned. His reaction before was justified. He could only blame the limited worldview of everyone else regarding Wei Wuyin's feat, likely greater than most of what he's done in the White Abyss, short of shattering those temporal paradoxes.

Cao Cuifen coughed lightly as she rid herself of the stuffy feeling in her chest. After her decision to reshape her primary purpose of cultivation, for the sake of strength, her body had grown notably stronger alongside her cultivation base. Wei Wuyin did not hold back when supporting her goals and dreams, even giving her an obedient Mystic Overlord as a servant! Her green gaze moved to the man in question, and a bright smile surfaced on her face. Despite his brazen actions of holding two beauties in both arms, she was completely unbothered.

In her heart, even if he laid together with a thousand other women, as long as she was one of them, as long as his heart and mind considered her, that was enough. More than enough.

Soon, the crew of the Minor Elysium found themselves gazing dazedly at the Sky Heart Galaxy, and their hearts shivered. With their Ocular Spells, while many of them couldn't grasp the entire situation, the first glimpse caused them to be shaken as the celestial debris or celestial alignments of this world were in disarray.

Moreover, vague shadows of various shapes soared across the Dark Void at varying distances. Out of them all, Grey Rose could see considerably more. Despite her cultivation base, she had never had the opportunity to venture into a different galaxy before. She was neither confident nor equipped to deal with the Void-Blank Space between galaxies nor willing to expend the years, decades, or centuries it would take to navigate across the vast expanse safely.

The Minor Elysium was a literal gem for explorers. However, Wei Wuyin's Void Portal Creation was the true factor of the group's ease of travel.

Wei Si's eyes narrowed sharply, a dangerous light flickering through his gaze.

Young Master Shang took a sip from his flagon. His lackadaisical gaze subtly moved across the galactic layer in a manner that was different from the rest who were intrigued by the initial environment. He softly said, "The Minor Elysium can't enter this galaxy. It has an innate connection to the Laws on par with a Heavenly Resonance. Of course, we could try to deactivate all formations and store away its core."

"Why?" Qing Qiumu found her distraction and latched on to Young Master Shang's warning. That said, she didn't try to wiggle out of Wei Wuyin's hold.

Young Master Shang began retelling the story of the Sky Heart Galaxy and the scandal that condemned an entire galaxy, including how it had descended into chaos and ruin at the hands of beasts. He gestured toward those vague shadows that seemed like enlarged, oddly shaped celestial objects and said: "Those are Rocs."

Then, he took a swig and used a single hand to sweep across the galaxy, "You'll find a lot of destroyed planets here, and things out of celestial alignment due to Unrestrained, unregulated conflict. Don't be surprised. You might even see great graveyards that could chill your soul."

"..." Many of those born in the now-collapsed Grand Cyclic Stellar Region and especially the Aeternal Sky Starfield were well aware that two Highlords had once had an unrestrained battle that swept across the galaxy and caused an egregious amount of damage and deaths, and they were personally killed by the Imperial Clan of that era, the Tian Clan.

Even they knew that battles of that scale were terrifying to everyone, to the point where many rulers of their territory made a notable effort to establish planetary defenses with centuries or millennia of effort just in case of the potential conflict between true experts of that era. The White Abyssal Galaxy was no exception.

Violet Sea had activated her planetary defenses and arrays upon meeting those three Mystic Lords at the edge of her territory, and just their announcement had caused incredible damage. If not for Violet Sea's timely interference, the damage would have been extensive. Planets might be knocked out of orbit, forcefully becoming rogue planets. Solar Stars could be destroyed and go supernova.

Looking at the remnants of chaos just on the edge of the galaxy, they couldn't help but experience a dawning realization. The Ascendants were already informed and on a deeper level, so they weren't shocked, but this was new information to Yue Songli, Qing Qiumu, and Cao Cuifen. Their expressions were vivid with interest and shock.

Wei Wuyin didn't bother with Young Master Shang's explanation. "So that's how it is," he remarked as he gazed at the faint prohibitive restriction in place with his Celestial Eyes.

Suddenly, Grey Rose's expression changed as she turned to her left. Young Master Shang's eyes shifted as he drank a big gulp, seemingly unsurprised and expectant. Each of the Prime Ascendants reacted as well, turning to Grey Rose's left and following her gaze.

A vessel seemingly emerged from the void!

"Well, it's time to deal with this," Wei Wuyin faintly smiled.
