Origin Court: Accepting Disciples With A System

247 Gu Tian

The Dragon Ancestor, Long Sheng, actually made an appearance in their Stellar Fiend Palace. Ancestors never showed up all this time, unless something happened within the palace that would need their presence to settle.

They represented the supreme existence of the entire Da Shikong. Even the big shots within the two temples would have to be wary of these existences. Otherwise, these palaces would not have existed anymore and should have already been annexed by the two temples that towered above all the existences in Da Shikong.

When the Dragon Ancestor forcefully broke through the array formation of the Stellar Fiend Palace, everyone, including the Fiend Emperor herself, held their breaths in shock. This momentum… it’s too domineering!

“This Fiend Emperor greets the esteemed Dragon Ancestor, Long Sheng!” The Fiend Emperor bowed and in the direction of the Dragon Ancestor in his human form. It was the same for the three Prime Ministers who had long been suffocated by the pressure emitted by Long Sheng.

“These lowly three Fiend Minister greets the esteemed Dragon Ancestor!”

Surely, dragons could not be underestimated!

Only the Fiend Ancestor, Xie Dou was somewhat indifferent to this. However, even he himself had no confidence in defeating the Dragon Ancestor. Apart from their age gap, both belonged to different generations and clearly, the other one had more experiences than him. Offending him would be akin to offending his master.

“Xie Dou, be careful what you wish for,” Long Sheng said as his gaze sharpened at the Fiend Ancestor, ignoring the other people who he thought to be insignificant. “Angering this old dragon can only mean one end—death!”

“What an arrogant disposition! Just what did our Stellar Fiend Palace do to actually make you personally move and fallout with the peace our two palaces had forged?” Xie Dou questioned.

He was really puzzled. An ancestor wouldn’t move without a valid reason and so far, he had not seen an ancestor that was very unreasonable. Moreover, according to the Dragon Ancestor’s temperament, he was exactly not this type. After all, dragons always had an arrogant air around them and they would not play with underhanded tricks just to defeat an opponent.

Well, except for those other dragons who were astute and cunning.

“And now you’re feigning ignorance of what you did? This old dragon has had enough of your act! Didn’t you want this old dragon to come here and be trapped by whatever you cooked behind the scenes?!” Long Sheng snorted and looked at Xie Dou, his gaze filled with contempt.

“Long Sheng, don’t go too far! This fiend would clearly not do something shameless as that! Although we have a bad reputation outside, we are not that shameless!” Xie Dou was exasperated and his eyes turned intent after shuddering slightly because of the old dragon’s gaze.”Do not make me repeat myself! Give me an explanation! Why would the Carnage Lotus be inside my son’s body?!” Long Sheng did not beat around the bush anymore and directly told these people about Long Hao’s condition.

“Apart from you, Xie Dou, the Fiend Ancestor, who could poison my son under my nose?! I know that you’re very proficient in hiding in the darkness! Although you didn’t comprehend the rules of slaughter, your darkness rules had already reached the peak!”

Everyone, be it the Fiend Emperor, the three Prime Ministers, and even the Fiend Ancestor himself wore dumbfounded looks after hearing the old dragon’s sentiments.

‘What the hell?’—were all that were circulating in their heads at the moment, thinking that it was close to impossible for the Carnage Lotus to appear all of a sudden.

‘Is the Dragon Ancestor joking with us?’

The Fiend Ancestor recovered from his shock and looked at the Fiend Emperor. His eyes urged her to say the things that needed to be said. Otherwise, things would really get out of hand.

Shivering, the Fiend Emperor could barely breathe but managed to calm herself down and still replied to Long Sheng, her courage brimming, “Lord Dragon Ancestor Long Sheng, do you notice all the people outside coming from the other palaces? Aren’t they here for something?”

When Long Sheng heard this, he showed a surprised look and scanned the entire city in which the Stellar Fiend Palace was situated. “It seems so. There were even human experts from the Human Emperor Palace and those others from their other subordinate palaces. What’s going on?”

The Dragon Ancestor, Long Sheng, reined in his temper and thought that the situation was quite bizarre. However, thinking about Long Hao, his son, the expression on his face became grim—akin to someone who desperately wants to kill another.

“Calm down, Dragon Ancestor Long Sheng! This matter… it’s simply very odd!” the Fiend Emperor said, seeing that Long Sheng was about to flare up once more.

“Let’s see what you have to say! If you can’t satisfy this old dragon, I will surely make your palace lose a lot of your people. It wouldn’t also be impossible to chase after you all of my life.”

The Fiend Emperor sighed, seeing that this old dragon was able to restrain himself. It seemed like Long Sheng was not someone rash. This was something she or they should be thankful for.

Heaving a sigh once more, she explained the situation and said, “Dragon Ancestor Long Sheng, the people from other palaces have gathered here because the Carnage Firmament of our palace is about to open. You know about this, too. For several thousands of years, this was again the only time the Carnage Firmament showed some movements or signs of opening. Even I was anticipating for it to open inside, when the Carnage Bloom appears, only the Carnage Lotus can save my big brother’s condition! I just didn’t expect that the lotus was actually brought to your son! I suppose now, he’s already poisoned. How long had it been? If this continues, he will certainly suffer!”

The Dragon Ancestor, Long Sheng, showed a funny face and could not help but click his tongue.

Why did he not think of it before?

What if the one who poisoned his son was the one who instigated him to make a move against the Stellar Fiend Palace?

The person who poisoned his son, Long Hao, must have either a grudge against him or was only using him as a tool to disrupt peace within the Stellar Fiend Palace.

To make him divert his attention to this point, the party must have already planned it all out!

“Not good!” Long Sheng’s face changed and hurriedly circulated his body’s qi to increase his speed and brought himself to the nearest transmission array. “Make way for this old dragon! Quick!”

Every cultivator who felt the terror of Long Sheng’s aura was scared shitless and hurriedly made way for the old dragon to the transmission array. There was originally a long line of people lining up for their turn to use the array.

“Hey, old dragon, aren’t you a bit in a hurry? Why don’t we play a bit?”

When Long Sheng heard the person’s voice, his face turned pale as white as a sheet. “You!”

Earlier, Long Sheng called for his friend from the Time Temple. It was his most trusted friend that he had encountered and was considered his best friend since they were young.

That friend of his was a genius that had never been seen in a million years in the Time Temple. A long time had already passed and this friend already became one of the upper echelons of the Time Temple.

And this time, he asked for his favor to guard Long Hao while he inquired about the situation in the Stellar Fiend Palace.

“Can you do it for me, Brother Gu?” he asked, his tone soft. One could hear the hint of pleading in his voice, as though he had no other choice anymore.

“What exactly happened to nephew? Who dared to poison him under your nose? What did you say the poison was?”

At this time, through a transmission array, Gu Tian hurriedly went to the Dragon Emperor Palace from the Time Temple. However, while he was on his way, he could not help but keep a wide grin on his face.

Meanwhile, Long Sheng mobilized all the forces and welcomed Gu Tian with open arms, even giving him a bear hug.

“It was that damn flower, which could only be from one place!” Long Sheng gritted his teeth as he clenched his fists. “It’s the Carnage Lotus!”

Gu Tian showed a surprised look. “There’s really such a thing? I recall that the Fiend Ancestor was even younger than us and was proficient with the rules of darkness. He might be the one who moved and had actually avoided your notice!”

“I am thinking of making a move, but I can’t just leave Hao’er here without someone to look after him!”

“Rest assured, Brother Long! With me here, no one can harm my nephew! Whoever does that, I will make him suffer more than what a Carnage Lotus could inflict on one’s body!” Gu Tian’s aura screamed righteousness.

It was only then Long Sheng eased up and praised Gu Tian. “You’re really the best, Brother Gu!”
