One Piece: Gambling to The Top

Chapter 129 - 129

Above the sky, there was one island that wasn't made of clouds. It had trees, soil, and grass — a very unique existence compared to the other sky islands.

This island was the forbidden place for any residence, be it native or a citizen of the sky lands.

Behind this forest, there was the temple of the Kami of the island, the one who controls lightning, Enel.

While sitting on his throne in the yard of his temple, Enel put his hand next to his ear as he closed his eyes.

"We have visitors, who took an unusual road to this place."

Enel had a smirk on his face. He adjusted his white bandanna, and his blue eyes moved to look in front of him.

His priests, the second strongest people here, were all standing in a line.

Other than them, there were around 4 stunningly beautiful women, slim, small and curvy… except, there was one large woman, who was fat, but not obese.

No one doubts the taste of someone who calls himself God.

The priests looked at Enel, curiosity was drawn in their eyes as waited for more.

Enel, who has lightning fruit, could combine his observation ability with his natural talent to sense electrons in the air, giving him a really wide range when it comes to detecting.

"I think we will have fun, this time."

"So, it's the usual game." Said one of the priests.

"No…" Enel smiled. "I feel it would be different. These visitors didn't come from the usual road, neither they were thrown here. In fact, they swam their way up." Enel put his hand on his chin. "The usual game with the outsiders… it's not going to be as boring as usual… now, maiden, come here and serve your god."

Enel said. Although he knows that the ruler of the island is called God, Enel got a bit cocky after taking this island.

The fat large lady understood her role, nodded, and walked…

"They really asked me to pay a bill… the audacity of these bitches…"

Josh stared in disbelief at the guys in front of him.

Men wearing white costumes that have similarities to police from Earth looked over Josh and commanded him to pay a huge amount of money. They had explained that Josh and his people are now considered criminals for not paying the fees, and they may have to face ordeals if they continued doing the crimes.

"You said what? You think you can break the law. Law is above all—" someone from the cops approached Josh and formed a fist, ready to punch. Before he could even think of doing an action, that someone lost consciousness and found himself in the land of the dreams.

"Might is above all."Josh just looked at the man he had punched to the ground. "Lawyered"

Josh then turned his face to the remaining, who didn't approach him or their falling friend. Instead, their eyes were over his shoulder, looking at Hancock, their faces sweating up from the heat accumulating in them. Hancock was too attractive.

"Kalifa… blood," Josh called with a cold tone.

Kalifa nodded and vanished from her spot. The next second, she was using her arm to whip those guys, making their blood fly with each swing from her arm. They soon fell down, and Josh just scoffed.

"Josh… did you feel jealous…" Hancock joined her fingers together and stared at Josh, astonished to see how his mood changed all of the sudden.

"No." Replied Josh. "More like angry. I know they don't have shot."

"So… you are angry for me…"

"Those water motorcycles are great."

Josh jumped and landed on one of the water motorcycles the guys brought with them. Hancock swallowed her words as she saw how Josh's mood changed all of the sudden when he examined the gear. Josh lifted the gear and examined it.

"It's so beautiful."

"Hey!" Hancock screamed. "It can't be you think it's prettier than me."

"He… he…" Josh just chuckled and let his hand slide on the surface of the motorcycle.

Hancock bit her bottom lip, feeling so jealous of a machine.

Josh, on the other hand, felt he has to do this.

'I don't want Hancock to end like my ex… a bitch who had to make me choose between talking with her or watching the final of the World Cup.'

Josh put the motorcycle on the cloud that is made of water. 'I will never forget how Germans won. It was so beautiful.'

"Hang to me, we are moving," Josh said, turning his face and pointing to Hancock. Hancock smiled a bit and felt that the gear started to look attractive once she thought she and Josh can ride together. She walked over and stood up behind him, wrapping her arms and hugging his back to her.

Josh let a sigh of relaxation and told Kalifa to catch up after taking another motorcycle. Josh could turn it on easily, while Kalifa needed some time to figure out how it does work.

"Where are we heading?" Kalifa asked.

Josh, who had his neck between Hancock's large chest, turned his head to Kalifa and said.

"The place where the god is… Also, we have some gold to collect." Josh said.

"You seems to be knowledgeable about this place," Hancock commented as she put her head on top of his. "Have you been here?" she was just about to ask if he knows some romantic place to stay in.

"Well…" Josh took a deep breath. He thought of the answer that works all of the time.

Kalifa's ears twitched to hear his answer. Josh, after all, seems like a mysterious guy.

"I know someone who knows things," Josh said. "That guy, when he doesn't know something, calls the guys who know things."

"Too much for my head." Hancock rubbed her head when she thought about it and decided to ask. "Is it a nice place… I mean, the place you are going to."

"Yep… nice and full of gold…" Josh became serious when he talked about gold, his greed attribute was coming to the surface.

"I guess it's as nice as you say." Hancock lifted her head and looked forward.

In front of them, an island appeared. Unlike the cloud islands which they had seen, the one in front of them looked like a normal island from the seas below. It has soil, and there were very huge trees around. Hancock felt it's bizarre since the trees are bigger than they should be down.

"I'll tell you its story later. Now, Hancock, let your Haki be on alert. Kalifa… use your senses."

"Yes, sir."

Josh then let the ship and jumped, followed by the girls. "You can have fun. I'll be heading over." Josh said as he started walking.

"Mm…" Hancock, having her hands behind her back, was looking at the trees. "This one seems good." She stood up in front of one tree and used her nail to draw something.

Kalifa stood up next to her to see what she is doing. There was a heart written on the tree, with both Hancock and Josh's name, in English and Japanese.

Meanwhile, Josh got far enough from them, and he was heading over to the temple of Enel.

While moving, Josh was concealing his intent and thoughts, so his presence would be hard to detect.

This way, he may be able to sneak of Enel.

Moreover, his Assassination Talent helps him conceal his presence with more ease.

Josh suddenly stopped when he looked at a nervous little girl, collecting soil from the bag. She had short black hair, covered by a nomad's hat, and she was wearing a dress that had some dirt on it. Josh assumed she is around 6, and he crossed his arms.

"Some people are here." She muttered all of a sudden as she seemed to snap out of her thoughts and turned her head in the direction Josh came from. She then turned her head and found that Josh was looking at her. For this little girl, who was born with something like Observation Haki, called Mantra here, it was a surprise that a man can approach her all of the sudden. There was one explanation for a kid with a creative brain.

"Ghost!" she screamed loudly.

"I hide my presence for nothing, it seems.." Josh rolled his eyes.
