Nine Star Burden

Chapter 123 - Gold Quality Green Glow?

Chapter 123: Gold Quality Green Glow?

“Every time I come in, I see you chatting.” As the door of the training room opened, an elegant young man clad in a royal blue suit came in.

He had a gentle smile on his face and there was a pair of gold-framed glasses resting on his nose bridge. He glanced at the team of four smilingly.

He looked like a best man who had just rushed over from a wedding.

Hai Tianqing’s gaze finally settled on Jiang Xiao, who was working hard and putting in an effort. Hai Tianqing nodded in satisfaction and said, “Xiaopi is still the most sensible one, but don’t practice wrongly. Remember that you are a Medical Awakened.”

Jiang Xiao touched the sweat on his head with his left hand and said, “Xia Yan taught me three moves which are all defensive. I haven’t forgotten my original profession. I’ll give you an eye-opener today!”

Hai Tianqing’s smile did not fade as he looked at Jiang Xiao, seemingly interested. “Oh?”

Jiang Xiao exclaimed, “The first move of the Xia Family Swordsmanship, Snatching someone else’s sweetheart tyrannically!”

Jiang Xiao then held the knife handle with one hand and grabbed the middle of the back of the giant wood sword with another, placing it in front of him. He then got into a perfect fighting stance and put up his defense.

Hai Tianqing’s lips curled into a smirk…

Xia Yan’s fair and tender face turned slightly sullen…

Jiang Xiao exclaimed, “The second move of the Xia Family Swordsmanship, Snatching one’s love with a vertically-placed sword!”

Jiang Xiao placed the sword in front of him, but due to the fact that it was too long—about two meters—Jiang Xiao could barely move it while in the lunge position. Hence, he could only place it in front of him by moving the tip of the blade forward.

Hai Tianqing’s expression was rather interesting and indescribable.

Xia Yan’s face was extremely sullen and she slowly clenched her fists.

Jiang Xiao exclaimed, “The third move of the Xia Family Swordsmanship, Snatching someone else’s sweetheart with a diagonally-placed sword!”

Jiang Xiao shifted his weight backward and arched his left foot while pointing his right foot against the ground to place the wooden sword diagonally, blocking himself with the 40cm long sword.

Hai Tianqing pursed his lips and remained silent.

Xia Yan felt like the veins were bulging on her forehead as she strode towards Jiang Xiao.

After jumping for a while, the training ground eventually evolved into a battle between Xia Yan and Jiang Xiao.

Jiang Xiao dragged the sword with both hands as he leaned towards the side and Star Power poured out. Whenever he came into contact with Xia Yan, his blade, back, elbows, knees, legs, and feet would be filled with some Green Glow.

He moved his large sword forward and backward accordingly, without any advanced or fancy moves. He would only pull a few basic moves and stances every now and then.

Interested, Xia Yan grabbed the wooden sword and pushed it with all her might, causing Jiang Xiao’s body to turn over directly under this great force.

Xia Yan’s long legs tensed up and she immediately caused Jiang Xiao to lose his advantage as she approached him.

Before her right fist even hit him, Jiang Xiao glided to the side and took advantage to step forward. He dragged the long giant sword with his hands and lunged forward while launching an elbow strike that directly touched Xia Yan’s left arm protecting her left rib.

Whee…

Xia Yan came to an abrupt halt as she dashed towards Jiang Xiao, who blasted her back. She arched her legs and leaned forward before sliding backward rapidly.

Her boots made a piercing sound of friction when she rubbed them against the wooden floor. Seemingly tired of such sounds, she leaped up in the air, did a somersault, and landed steadily.

She had also landed on a strategic spot, after which she extended her left hand and grabbed the giant steel sword that she had just placed against the wall.

Jiang Xiao was taken aback and hurriedly scurried towards Hai Tianqing before saying, “Teacher, I heard that the venue of the Beijiang Province High School League has been changed to Arsenal. Is that true?”

Hai Tianqing glanced at Jiang Xiao smilingly and then looked at Xia Yan, who had turned pale and was about to stride towards Jiang Xiao. Her short chestnut-colored hair fluttered behind with a surge of Star Power, revealing her suave face.

Unfortunately, her arrogant face was extremely sullen.

Jiang Xiao continued, “I’m still underage. It’s not suitable for me to go to those places.”

Before Hai Tianqing could even answer, Xia Yan barked. “The first move of the Xia Family Swordsmanship, Massive cleanup!”

Wow, Brother. Must you be so aggressive?

Jiang Xiao immediately hid behind Hai Tianqing.

Massive cleanup?

This is clearly a disastrous wipeout!

Hai Tianqing was just like a shield to Jiang Xiao. Looking at the bright blade that was exuding immense Star Power, he quickly dodged and grabbed the back of Xia Yan’s sword with rapid speed.

Seeing such a scene, Jiang Xiao felt relieved and smiled. “I think you’d better name this move ‘Placing righteousness above family’.”

Xia Yan’s eyes narrowed and she raised her sword forcefully, only to have Hai Tianqing grab it tightly, rendering her helpless. She continuously tried to break out of his grip but to no avail.

Xia Yan stomped her foot angrily and yelled at Hai Tianqing, “Ah!”

Jiang Xiao nodded intently and asked, “How about ‘Incompetent Rage’?”

Hai Tianqing extended his left arm and strangled Jiang Xiao’s neck to drag him out from behind her.

“Hey, be gentle…” Feeling terrible, Jiang Xiao felt like he was being strangled by a metal arm.

Hai Tianqing snatched Xia Yan’s sword and threw it to the ground. He then handed Jiang Xiao to her.

Yes, he handed Jiang Xiao to Xia Yan.

Hai Tianqing watched as Xia Yan taught Jiang Xiao a lesson and said, “We can’t change the situation about the Arsenal. We can only adapt and accept.”

“Are we forced to change the venue because Jiannan Village is not open to the public yet?” Jiang Xiao asked while getting busy.

Jiang Xiao was indeed very busy, as Xia Yan dragged him by the neck towards the door. She seemed to be looking for a quiet place to destroy him.

Xia Yan discovered that Jiang Xiao was still able to speak even though she was strangling him with both arms.

“There is such a possibility.” Hai Tianqing looked as Jiang Xiao was dragged out and continued softly, “The greater possibility is because the top two contestants in the Beijiang Province National League have not been performing well in the past few years, especially last year. Their scores hit a record low, and they were at the bottom. The leaders probably think that the places that we have been training in are too comfortable.”

“My obedient Xia Yan, please be gentle. I’m really going to be deprived of oxygen.” Jiang Xiao grabbed Xia Yan’s arm with both hands and tried to pull it down.

However, an Awakened in the Stardust Stage would definitely be bullied by one in the Nebula Stage due to physical quality.

“Enough, Xia Yan. I have something to discuss with Xiaopi.” Hai Tianqing finally spoke to give Jiang Xiao an out.

Xia Yan’s body stopped moving and she lowered her head to bite Jiang Xiao’s earlobe before pulling it outwards. Her faint voice made everyone feel rather anxious. “Tonight, you’ll see the real Xia Family Swordsmanship.”

Jiang Xiao thought to himself in joy, Am I finally going to learn new moves?

Even if I get beaten up, one glance would be enough.

As for the hundred moves…

Hai Tianqing came to the door and led Jiang Xiao out of the training room and into the corner of the corridor.

“What is it, Mr. Hai?” Jiang Xiao asked, rubbing his sore neck.

Hai Tianqing looked down at Jiang Xiao and said, “Xiaopi, is your Green Glow of Gold Quality?”

Jiang Xiao was flabbergasted.
