Never Judge

Chapter 796 - 796

"I will have my lawyer draft the contract and send it over." Lucius Ting said as he got up from his seat and offered his hand for Guan Ming to shake.

This time Guan Ming took his hand and shook it.

"I would like to take a tour of your facilities and offices soon." Guan Ming informed Lucius Ting. "I want to know if your company's capability truly meets what I need."

"Yes, of course." Lucius Ting said with a nod as Guan Ming released his hand.

Camilla wanted to laugh when she saw Lucius Ting massaging his hand, it seemed that Guan Ming had gripped it too tight. Clearly the businessman was sending Lucius Ting a message.

"I'll have one of my assistants contact your people." Guan Ming informed Lucius Ting. "I have plans for the next few days, but I will come visit you when I am free."

"You are welcome to come to our offices any time." Lucius Ting said with a nod. "If you would like, I could give you a tour of the city. I might have moved only recently but I know this place quite well."

"No, it's fine. I have a friend in the city." Guan Ming said as he stole a glance at Camilla.

He badly wished that Camilla could be the one to give him a tour of the city. He wanted to discover her city through her eyes. Unfortunately he couldn't just yet, he needed to steal her back from Lucius Ting.

When he saw that she wasn't madly in love with the man, it gave him hope. It made him believe that he had a fighting chance.

"We shall go then." Lucius Ting said when he realized that Guan Ming was no longer interested in their conversation.

"My assistant will walk you out." Guan Ming told him as he waved an assistant over and sat back down in his seat.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, Guan Ming." Camilla said in a sweet voice, making the corners of Guan Ming's lips curl to form a smile.

Guan Ming resisted the urge and simply nodded back.

Lucius and Camilla silently followed the assistant out of the lavish room. Camilla was, of course, quite familiar with the hotel. It was owned by Cedric and he stayed there sometimes. He would even allow his personal staff to stay there as well on their days off.

"That was exciting." Lucius said with a smile as they got into the elevator.

"Yes, it was interesting." Camilla replied as she felt Lucius reach for her hand and intertwine their fingers.

"Yes, he is an eccentric man." Camilla said as she shook her head. Guan Ming was the same man she met years ago, but in some ways he had also become quite different.

"This is good for Arch Group." Lucius said with a nod as the elevator doors opened.

As they stepped out, Camilla's phone began to ring.

"Give me a moment." She said, as she stepped away.

"Hello?" Camilla said.

"Oh, you're here too. Wow, such a coincidence." Camilla said in an excited tone.

"Really, we can hang out in your room, sure. I'd honestly rather be away from the public, especially with everything that's going on." Camilla told the person at the other end of the call.

"Give me five minutes. I need to tell Lucius first." She told the person as she dropped the call.

"Lucius, dear." Camilla said in an endearing tone.

"What is it?" Lucius asked as he eyed Camilla suspiciously.

"Well, a friend of mine is here as well." She said as sweetly as she could. "Would you mind if I met up with her?"

"Her?" Lucius asked.

"Yes, her." Camilla said as she glared at Lucius. "Can't I have friends?" She asked in an accusatory tone.

"No, of course, it's just you never mentioned that a friend was visiting." Lucius Ting said as he began to panic.

"It's because she isn't." Camilla said as she rolled her eyes at him. "She is from the city, she is just having a staycation at Constellations."

"Sorry, yes, of course you can go my love." Lucius said as he pulled her into his arms and tried to kiss her.

Camilla avoided kissing him on the lips as he ended up kissing her on the top of her head.

"What was that about?" Lucius Ting asked as he frowned at her reaction.

"I don't like public displays of affection." Camilla grumbled. "Also, my makeup will be ruined." She told him.

"Okay, okay." He said as he kissed her on the forehead.

"Why don't I walk you to the car and see you off?" Camilla asked as Lucius released her from his arms.

"Alright, do you want me to leave a car for you or maybe some guards?" He asked as he gave her a concerned look.

"No, I'll be fine." Camilla said as she shook her head and held his hand.

"Okay, I'm just worried." Lucius said with a frown as they made their way through the lobby. "I know a lot of members of the paparazzi want to snap a photo of you or get an interview with you."

"I can manage, don't worry." Camilla said with a shrug as they reached the entrance to the lobby.

Outside the doors, Camilla could see as the reporters snapped photos of them through the windows.

She knew that Cedric was allowing the photos for a reason. There were many things she found suspicious about Guan Ming's visit, and the biggest thing nagging her was the fact that he was staying at Constellations.

Camilla fully intended to give Cedric a call as soon as she got home. Something was not adding up.

"I'll go now." Lucius said with a smile as he let go of her hand and stepped out of the hotel.

She watched as Lucius and his men drove off.

As soon as they were out of view, bodyguards quickly sent the reporters away and the windows of the lobby darkened, giving its guests more privacy.

Camilla shook her head and walked towards the lobby, she was 100% sure Cedric had something to do with everything, she just didn't know what.

"Camilla.." Katerina called out from the hotel's restaurant. "Why did you want me to call and start mumbling random things?"
