Never Judge

Chapter 794 - 794

"Mr. Guan." Lucius Ting said as he quickly stood up, leaving his girlfriend on her seat.

Guan Ming kept his stoic expression as Lucius Ting offered his hand to shake.

He simply looked at the hand Lucius Ting had offered and nodded.

Guan Ming wanted to laugh when he saw Lucius' baffled expression. He couldn't help but glance as he noticed Camilla laugh at what he had done as well.

Shouldn't she be offended that he had snubbed her boyfriend, this woman was truly one of a kind. Then again, that was the reason he fell for her in the first place.

Guan Ming observed as Camilla stood proudly in her place, she was as elegant and as beautiful as he remembered.

She wore a business suit that fit her body perfectly, making her look like the epitome of a business woman. How he wished that she would stand next to him someday and rule his empire with him.

But her choice to be with someone else ruined those dreams.

"Let's eat."  Guan Ming said as an assistant pulled out his seat for him.

As he sat down, he watched as Lucius Ting quickly rushed to his place, next to Camilla.

"Will you not introduce us?" Guan Ming said in a cold tone as he looked at Camilla.

He could see as Camilla sank in her seat, she knew what she had done wrong and being in front of Guan Ming was clearly difficult for her.

"Oh right, right." Lucius Ting said with a nod as he panicked on his failure to introduce Camilla to Guan Ming.

"And?" Guan Ming asked, intimidating Lucius.

He didn't miss it though as Camilla grinned at a panicked Lucius Ting. What was wrong with this woman, shouldn't she be worried that he was stressing her man out?

"Mr. Guan, this is my girlfriend, Camilla Montero." Lucius Ting said as he introduced Camilla.

What Guan Ming did next, shocked and embarrassed Lucius Ting even further.

Guan Ming got up and walked to Camilla and offered his hand for her to shake.

Camilla was so lost at what was going on that she didn't react immediately and left Guan Ming hanging with his arm extended towards her.

"I'm Guan Ming, CEO of Ming Enterprises." Guan Ming said as he offered his hand again. "Nice to meet you Miss Montero."

"Ummm, the pleasure is all mine." Camilla said as she finally recovered and shook Guan Ming's hand. "Please, sir, no need to be so formal, just call me Camilla."

"Very well, Camilla." Guan Ming said as he savored the feeling of finally being able to speak her name out loud. "Please, call me Guan Ming. There should be no formalities between friends, can we be friends?" He asked with a grin as he waited for Camilla's response.

Camilla was taken by surprise by Guan Ming's words. She had heard earlier today that he had a girlfriend, wouldn't that woman feel uncomfortable with her boyfriend being friends with someone that still loved him?

"Mr. Guan, I don't think it would be appropriate for me to be friends with you." Camilla said in a bitter tone, she did feel bitter, and she did feel like her heart had been shattered. She loved and waited for Guan Ming, but he chose to be with someone else.

"Is it because of me?" Lucius Ting asked as he inserted himself into the conversation. "Because babe, I won't restrict you that way."

"No, Lucius." Camilla said as she shook her head.

"Then do tell us Camilla, why?" Guan Ming said as he looked her in the eyes. A part of him was hoping that she would admit that they had once loved each other.

He was more than ready to simply take her from Lucius Ting, but only if she still wanted him. He only wanted what would make her happy.

"Because, Mr. Guan, I wouldn't want to offend your girlfriend." Camilla spat. "I am sure whoever she is, she can go around and ruin my life."

"Camilla, I don't have a girlfriend, I've only loved one person all my life." Guan Ming declared.

"She must be a lucky woman then." Lucius Ting quickly said as he nodded in approval. "I think Camilla will be the only person I will ever love again."

Despite his blabbering, to Camilla it was as if she and Guan Ming were the only people in the room. Lucius, the assistants, the waiters, and all the bodyguards simply vanished and it was only her and Guan Ming.

Camilla stopped breathing for a moment, she knew Lucius Ting didn't understand what was happening. But if Lucius had not been there she would have jumped into Guan Ming's arms and kissed him.

She had waited for him for over ten years. Even when he stopped contacting her she remained loyal to their promise to one another.

She kept hoping that Guan Ming would come back for her, that after all those years of separation he would still love her, he would still want to be with her.

"Camilla? Are you alright?" Guan Ming asked as he looked at Camilla in a tender maner.

Camilla wanted to slap herself, how could she not have seen the way he looked at her. The love in his eyes. The jealousy when Lucius introduced her as his girlfriend.

She knew that now she must seem to be at fault, she needed to find a way to talk to Guan Ming in private. But how? She didn't have his number, then she realized it, Cedric, he would help her. He was a sucker for every love story he heard.

"Sorry." Camilla whispered. "She is a lucky woman, Guan Ming." Camilla said with a hopeful smile.

"Shall we continue our meal then?" Guan Ming asked as he smiled at Camilla.

He was happy to finally see a genuine smile on her face, a part of him hoped that it was because of his words. But he was also afraid of hearing a truth that he refused to believe, that she loved Lucius Ting.

Why would she be with Lucius Ting if she didn't love him? She was Cedric's Vice President for Mor Co. She didn't need money, she didn't need fame, all those things the Reyes Group could provide.

He made a mental note to look deeper into Camilla's and Lucius Ting's relationship after dinner.
