Never Judge

Chapter 762 - 762

Ayanna was huddled in the bunker with her friends and her sister-in-law, when her father, Emilio Reyes finally returned to them.

"Is it over?" Ayanna asked as she got up and met him halfway.

"Yes." Emilio Reyes said with a nod as Ayanna ran over and hugged him. She had been quite scared when she heard that they were being attacked, but she knew that she couldn't let fear take over. She needed to be brave and strong.

"Let's get the girls up, I want to find out what happened." Ayanna told her father as she turned around to walk over to the girls.

"It's done." She said as she gently stroked her pregnant sister-in-law on the back.

"Oh thank god!" Nicole said with a sigh of relief. "Is anyone injured?"

"I don't know yet, but once we get up there I'll look into everything." Ayanna informed her. "We should get going, this place isn't good for pregnant people." She said with a laugh as she led the other women out of the bunker.

"Do we know who attacked us?" Francesca asked as they slowly climbed up the staircase towards one of the smaller houses on the property.

"Not yet, I just found out it was over too, but I'm sure we'll learn more soon." Ayanna said as she tried to comfort their worries.

As soon as they got out of the bunker, Ayanna's phone began to ring. She smiled as she saw the caller ID.

"Hey darling." A handsome voice said as she picked up the call. "I was worried about you." Ray said as the worry in his tone became evident.

"Ray, we're all safe and fine, don't worry." Ayanna said as several golf carts lined up outside the house to take them back to Cedric's mansion.

"I just needed to hear you." Ray said in a happier tone.

"Well, hi, here I am." She said with a laugh as they all piled up into the golf carts.

"Wait, I'm speaking to my wife!" Ray said in an annoyed tone.

"My brother?" Ayanna asked as she giggled.

"Yes. He wants to talk to you." Ray groaned.

"Come back soon, please." Ayanna pleaded. She was used to them being separated from time to time because of work, this time was different.

"I will." Ray said as Ayanna heard the phone being handed over to her brother.

"What do you want?" Ayanna groaned.

"I'm sure you want answers." Cedric said with a laugh.

"Yes." Ayanna said plainly.

"I'm still learning more about what happened, I'll give you a call in a bit. How is my wife?" He asked.

"Why don't you just call her?" Ayanna groaned, her sister-in-law had her own phone, why did her brother have to ask her.

"We both know she will tell me that she is fine even if she isn't." Cedric said quite frankly to his sister.

"She's fine, the baby is fine, relax Cedric. What she needs now is to hear your voice and to know that both you and her son are safe." Ayanna reminded Cedric.

"Right, right." Cedric said as he realized that his wife would need him too.

"I swear I don't know what she sees in your dumb ass." Ayanna said with a chuckle.

"A lot of women would want me." Cedric said.

"I can feel you rolling your eyes from here. They want your money, not you." She teased.

"Look, as long as you guys are all safe, I am happy." Cedric told his sister. "I'm just glad that Ayanna's parents are not in the country or else I'd be worried that they might get attacked too."

"They have impeccable timing then." Ayanna said. "Now, will you please put my husband back on the line?"

"Fine. I'll give you a call when we know more, but the matter with the Barons should be sorted out." Cedric told her.

"Did you just send them to jail again?" She asked.

"No, this time we did something a little bit different." Cedric told his sister in a serious tone.

Ayanna looked ahead and noticed the familiar mansion appearing in the distance.

"Look, we're almost at your place, I'll call Ray again. I'll see what I can find out from here too, maybe it can help." Ayanna told her brother.

"Alright, keep safe Ayanna." Cedric told her.

"You too and go call your wife." She said with a chuckle as she dropped the call and shook her head.

She loved her brother very much but he was an idiot in her mind more often than not.

"Was that my husband?" Adrianna asked her from behind.

Ayanna turned around to face Adrianna and nodded.

"Yeah, I was speaking to Ray when he rudely interrupted." Ayanna said as she rolled her eyes. "Don't worry, I already scolded him and told him to give you a call."

As she said this Adrianna's phone began to ring in her hands.

"See, I told you so." Ayanna said with a smirk as she faced the front once more.

It didn't take long for them to finally make it back to the mansion. Most of the other girls were already on the phone with their relatives, husbands, or boyfriends.

She knew that Ray would be busy, especially since the matter her brother had at hand would involve her husband. So she decided to help them as much as she could from the mansion.

"Miss Ayanna." A maid bowed as she entered the living room.

"Where is my father?" Ayanna asked.

"In your brother's office, miss." The maid said in a respectful tone.

"Could you bring some tea and snacks over, you guys know what dad likes, right?" She asked.

The maid nodded and quickly disappeared towards the kitchen.

Seeing the maid leave, Ayanna turned and headed for her brother's office.

"Dad?" Ayanna asked as she pushed the big solid oak door open. This was Cedric's more formal office where he had meetings. It was also easier to go to since it was on the ground floor of the mansion.

"Ayanna, what are you doing here?" Emilio Reyes said in a worried tone as she got up and walked over to her. "You should rest." He told his daughter.

"Dad, I'm barely pregnant, I want to help." Ayanna said in a determined tone.

"I know I even if I say no you won't listen." Emilio said as he pointed for her to sit on the couch.

Ayanna smiled as she fetched her laptop which she had left in the same office earlier that day.
