Never Judge

Chapter 642 - 642

Cedric was shocked at the news, shocked and relieved. Despite his insistence in sacrificing his own name and image, he did not deny that he was hoping for a less suicidal route.

He wasn't stupid, he knew just how damaging the effects of him being involved in Aiden's death would be. He knew that it could not only put his company in danger, but his whole family as well.

Without a doubt, if they weren't able to shift opinions, he would need to step down as CEO and hand it over to Ayanna. Cedric knew that being the CEO was the last thing Ayanna wanted, his sister wanted to be successful but not to the point of having to take his place.

"That's amazing news." Cedric told Camilla over the phone. "What managed to convince him?" Cedric asked.

"I'm guessing that it's more of a need from his end." Benedict said as he joined in on the conversation. "He knows that the Chan siblings don't like him, so he needs to have as many allies on his side."

"Good." Cedric said with a smile. "Mind if I give you a call later?" Cedric asked.

"Oh, is it a bad time?" Camilla said in a confused tone. "Ian told me that you were taking the whole day off of work and that you had sent your son safely to school."

"It's not the best time, I'd just rather discuss this with everyone else, I don't like repeating things." Cedric said over the phone. "Plus, we're pulling up to Saints Hospital right now, Adrianna has a check up."

"Oh, right, the baby." Camilla said with a laugh. "I keep forgetting that Adri is pregnant, she carries herself so well."

"I'll tell her you said that." Cedric said with a smile. "I'll text you when we can all have a call and discuss our next steps."

"Alright boss." Camilla said in a cheery tone.

"What should we do in the meantime?" Benedict asked. "I already know he will ask for more investments and for us to connect him to people."

"Are there people that you both trust that won't betray our plans, but still lead him on?" Cedric asked over the phone.

"I can think of a few." Camilla said slowly, clearly she was already listing the names of people in her head.

"I have some as well." Benedict added.

"Get him to talk to them, and on investments, go, shell some money out. I'll pay you back for it, don't worry." Cedric instructed them in a confident tone.

"Oaky, we'll do that then." Benedict said.

"I'll talk to you guys soon, bye." Cedric said as he dropped the call.

Cedric couldn't help but smile and be happy at how things were developing, both with his plans, at the company, and with his family. Things seemed to finally be going his way, he hoped that this check up with the doctor would have positive results as well.

"What are you smiling about?" Adiranna asked as their car stopped at the Saints Hospital main entrance.

"I'm just glad that things are finally going our way." Cedric said with a smile as he held his wife's hand.

"Things have been going my way since I met you." Adrianna said with a wink, making Cedric laugh.

"Since when did you learn to flirt like that?" Cedric asked his wife. "I'm not complaining, in fact I find it adorable that you are flirting like this."

"I have to keep this relationship exciting." Adrianna said with a laugh. "Plus it's fun." She said with a shrug.

Cedric knew that she had probably picked it up watching or hanging out with the sisters, it sounded like something Katerina would say.

"I love it, I love everything about you." Cedric said as he lowered his head and planted a kiss on his wife's lips. "The best day of my life was when I met you, I met my better half. The one person I would like to spend the rest of my life with."

"So sweet!" Adrianna said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I love that you are so sweet! Most girls can only dream of a man like you. But I have you, and I'm having our second child." As Adrianna said this she pressed her lips on his and kissed him passionately.

They made out for a bit, with Cedric nipping gently and playful on her lips. When they eventually separated Adrianna couldn't help but giggle at what they had just done. Cedric smiled at his wife as she blushed like a shy teenager.

"Sorry John." Cedric called out to his driver, who had simply averted his eyes and placed on earbuds to give them some privacy.

"Nothing you haven't done before, sir." John said with a sly smile.

"We should get going." Cedric told his wife as he brushed a stray hair behind her ear. "We don't want to keep Dr. Santos waiting for too long."

Dr. Santos was the same doctor that had helped Adrianna through her pregnancy with Yoyo, for her second pregnancy she chose to see the same doctor.

Cedric had no qualms against this, especially since the doctor had been quite nice and even kept their secret.

"Yes. Let's go." Adrianna told Cedric with a smile.

Cedric nodded and stepped out of the car as his driver opened the door for him.

He quickly walked over to the other side and opened the door for Adri and helped her out.

"Switch the cars." Cedric instructed John, his driver. "I know the hospital will be swarming with reporters once the news gets out that we are here. I want this car to remain a secret so we can still go out under the radar."

"Yes sir." John said with a nod as he got back into the car and drove away. He had been working long enough with the Reyes family to know when they want something done immediately, and this was one of them.

Cedric and Adrianna walked hand in hand into the hospital through the main entrance. With the news out about Adrianna being pregnant, there was no use for them to use any of the backdoors to the hospital.

As they walked through the hospital lobby, Cedric could see people whispering amongst themselves, some even snapping a photo or two.

Since revealing his identity, this was something Cedric had gotten used to. Even when having simple meetings at  restaurants, people would snap photos of him and post it on social media.

"I think you scare them." Adrianna said with a laugh as they got into the elevator.

"Oh, why so?" Cedric asked his wife with a raised eyebrow.

"Because if it were just me, someone would come up and ask for a photo." Adrianna said, teasing her husband.

"I'm nice, why don't they want photos with me?" Cedric asked, whining like a child.

"You are not nice, Cedric." Adrianna said as she stepped out of the elevator, leaving her shocked husband behind.
