Never Judge

Chapter 467 - 467

Cedric shouted for his driver to prepare his car. He wanted to get to the Reyes Mansion as quickly as possible, he needed to confront his father about this.

The white Rolls Royce Ghost quickly pulled up to the front of the house with Cedric hopping in, followed by Ace.

The others quickly piled up into their own cars. They knew where Cedric was headed, he needed to get to the Reyes Mansion to confront his father.

Inside the car Cedric dialed his father's number, it took a while but Emilio Reyes eventually picked up the call.

"Son, why are you calling so early?" Emilio asked in a sluggish tone, it seemed that he was taking advantage of the girls being out and sleeping in. "Shouldn't you be taking advantage of the day while your wife and son are out?"

"Dad, I need you to answer my question honestly." Cedric demanded over the phone.

"What's with the tone?" Emilio Reyes asked. "Watch it, I'm still your father." He warned.

"Dad, promise me you will answer me honestly." Cedric asked again.

"Fine, fine, what is it?" Emilio Reyes groaned.

"Is mom sick?" Cedric asked.

"She's fine now. She's even out shopping with your wife and sister, what's with the sudden concern?" Emilio asked his son.

"Dad, stop lying." Cedric said in a frustrated tone. "Nicole told me everything."

There was a silence on the line, Cedric could tell that his father had no idea how to address this problem.

"Come over to the old house, let's talk." Emilio Reyes finally said over the phone.

"I'm already on the way." Cedric told his dad. "Uncle Benedicto, Uncle Jose, and Ian's dad are also on the way. There are other pressing matters that need to be discussed as well."

"Alright." Emilio Reyes said over the phone. "Drive safely." He said as he dropped the call.

"Cedric, I had no idea either." Ace told his cousin. "Although it is possible that my parents knew this whole time. I knew they were shipping medicines over from Spain home."

"I don't think my mom and dad told anyone else." Cedric said with a sigh. "I should have known that this was a possibility." Cedric said angrily.

"Cedric, no one could have predicted something like cancer." Ace said in an attempt to comfort his cousin.

"Ace, didn't you know?" Cedric asked.

"Know what?" Ace said as he gave Cedric a puzzled look.

"Ace, all the females in the Clarin Family have died of cancer." Cedric said with a frown, shocking Ace. "It's like a curse on the Clarins. I was hoping that mom wouldn't, but she has it now."

"Cedric, I'm sure she'll get better." Ace said with full confidence. "You have the whole Chan family to help you, and Miguel is known as the Miracle doctor. If anyone can cure her it will be him."

"I hope so Ace." Cedric said with a frown as he looked out his window.

He was sad and angry that his parents chose not to tell him and Ayanna, why didn't they want them to worry? This was something they should have faced as a family, with him and Ayanna supporting their parents as much as possible.

As the scenery changed Cedric noticed that they were pulling up to the Reyes Mansion. He sighed and leaned back against his seat. He closed his eyes and thought of what he would say to his dad. He was angry, but more importantly he was disappointed.

As the convoy of cars pulled to a stop, a butler ran over and opened Cedric's car door, letting him out.

"Where is my father?" Cedric asked the butler, he was sure his dad would have given instructions.

"At his study sir." The butler told Cedric respectfully. "He asks you to join him there, alone."

Cedric nodded and walked towards the front doors. He was about to enter when he heard Nicole and Miguel arguing.

"Why the hell didn't you tell me those patient files were auntie Priscilla's!?" Miguel angrily asked as he and Nicole walked over.

"You would have told Cedric!" Nicole shouted in return. "You would have told him and broken auntie and uncle's trust!"

"I could have kept a secret." Miguel told his sister.

"No you couldn't. You boys tell each other everything!" Nicole answered back. "You are worse than us girls!"

"I -" Just as Miguel was about to answer back another convoy of vehicles arrived.

"Can you please tell my father that we will discuss the matter at another time." Cedric told the butler. "Ask him to join us in the living room, I have something to tell everyone." The butler nodded and entered the house.

Cedric called over a maid, who bowed and waited for his command.

"Prepare drinks and the living room." Cedric said as he sent her off to do what he had asked.

When the cars finally stopped in front of them, Cedric saw his uncle Jose step out of the car together with his wife, Rebeckah.

"Uncle." Cedric greeted respectfully.

"I'm a busy man Cedric. This better be important." Jose Sebastian said grumpily as he went in ahead.

"He's in a bad mood. He came from a meeting where all they did was question how we brought Alexi up." Rebeckah Sebastian told Cedric. "I hope you have good news for us."

"Auntie, I cannot promise that it's good, but it is news." Cedric told the older woman as he offered his arm to escort her inside.

"News is better than no news." Rebeckah Sebastian said with a smile. It was her level headed personality that balanced off the Sebastians perfectly. She could calm her husband and her children no matter what kind of a fit any of them were in.

"This is how a real gentleman behaves, learn from him Alexi." Rebeckah Sebastian called out, teasing her son.

"Mom, I'm a gentleman." Alexi whined as he approached with his arm around Selina's waist. It was clear from Selina's expression that she wasn't happy with the public display of affection that Alexi was forcing on her.

"Selina looks like she's in pain Alexi. Let her go." Rebeckah Sebastian said, scolding her son.

"Fine." Alexi said with a laugh.

They didn't have to wait long for the others to arrive. The Lims lived quite close and arrived right after the Sebastians. The Laurences were the last to arrive, but they didn't have to wait long since Ray had called his parents over as soon as he dropped Cedric's call.

"Why did you call us over Cedric?" Jose Sebastian asked they younger man in an intimidating tone, his foul mood quite clearly manifested.

"Uncle, we know who might be behind all the unfortunate events recently." Cedric revealed, much to the elder's surprise.

"You mean you found the person behind MT Summit?" Emilio Reyes asked his son.

"Yes." Cedric said with a nod. "But before that, I need to ask. What does the name Rene Ty mean to all of you?"

At Cedric's question the faces of the parent's turned pale, Cedric was surprised to see that even Katerina carried the same shocked expression.

"Cedric, where did you hear that name?" Katerina asked.

"Who is he to you guys first?" Cedric asked.

"He and his wife kidnapped and tortured  Katerina when she was ten." Jose Sebastian said angrily, shocking Cedric. It seemed there was more to the story than he initially thought.
