Never Judge

Chapter 458 - 458

"Do you know who that woman was or did you assume that she was an ex?" Cedric asked Alexi.

"Look, you all know I've been with a number of women." Alexi said as his voice became quieter. At first Cedric was confused then he turned to see Alexi looking towards Selina's direction.

"Seriously? You are concerned about this now?" Cedric asked in a frustrated tone. "Everyone knows about your history. You didn't exactly try to keep it quiet or hidden."

"Alexi, it's alright." Selina said with a nod. "It's not like I'm a virgin or anything."

"Selina!" Elissa Ramirez said, scolding her daughter.

"Mom, it's alright." Selina said with a sigh. "I don't want to lie to someone I could end up spending the rest of my life with, or to his family." Selina said with a shrug.

"Woah, that progressed fast." Nicole said in surprise.

"You're one to talk." Alexi teased.

"I'm not the one who caused problems because he couldn't keep it in his pants." Nicole hissed making everyone laugh.

"Technically Nicole, you did too." Eric said with a grin.

"Who are you even biologically related to Eric? Me or Alexi, don't you dare take his side on this." Nicole threatened.

"Fine, fine." Eric said with a laugh as he surrendered to his sister's threats.

"I don't know if that woman is really my ex." Alexi confessed with a shrug. "I didn't exactly keep a portfolio of women I've slept with. I just slept with them."

"So what made you think she was an ex?" Ray asked.

"Well, the things she said. Plus she told Jen about how I would just replace Jen. So I assumed she was someone I had slept with in the past." Alexi explained.

"So we don't even know if this woman really has a history with you?" Cedric asked. "Didn't you recognize her at all?"

"Cedric you have no idea how many starlets and socialites throw themselves at me." Alexi said with a shrug. "I can't remember them all. Plus they were all just sex, I didn't feel anything for them, I simply used them to ignore my heartbreak. They meant nothing to me."

"I don't think that last statement was meant for me." Cedric teased.

"It's sweet though." Selina said with a shrug as she smiled at Alexi.

"Wait, I know how we can find out who she is." Alexi said as he suddenly realized something.

"How?" Cedric asked. They needed to get to the bottom of all of this soon.

"I had my bodyguards throw her out after they swept the area." Alexi explained as he remembered his instructions to his security team. "I'm pretty sure they got her name so that they could keep her away from me and potentially file for a restraining order with Katerina's team."

"That's perfect!" Ram exclaimed. "Also, why did you have them sweep the area?"

"I had an odd feeling that I was being watched." Alexi said with a shrug. "Plus I started feeling odd so I wanted to be sure that no one was planning a kidnapping."

"They weren't planning a kidnapping Alexi." Ray groaned in frustration.

"They weren't?" Alexi asksed.

"Even I understand what happened. Are you really my son?" Jose Sebastian complained as pinched the space between his eyes.

"I'm really confused guys." Alexi said as he looked around for an explanation.

"Please, just explain it." Katerina said with a laugh.

"Alexi, you were being watched but not to kidnap you. They were watching you so that they could take photos of you for the article." Ray said with a sigh. "Did your team find anything?" Ray asked.

"I don't know." Alexi said with a shrug. "Selina and I went up after the woman was escorted out."

"Do you think it's possible that the security team caught a member of the paparazzi that posted the article?" Cedric asked Alexi.

"Could be." Alexi said with a nod. "We would have to ask the team. It's odd that they didn't report anything though."

"I gave them instructions to focus on getting us out. That's probably why." Jose Sebastian told them.

"Call for the head of our security team." Katerina told her brother. "They might be waiting for us to ask for an update."

Alexi nodded and didn't argue. They really were facing this problem because of him.

"I need a breather." Ayanna said with a sigh. She had changed out of her wedding gown and was now wearing a simple sundress.

"I'll walk with you." Adrianna volunteered.

"Thank you, sister-in-law." Ayanna said with a thankful smile.

"Go stay with daddy." Adrianna told Emilio, who in turn ran up to Cedric and asked for his father to carry him.

Adrianna and Ayanna walked over to the Reyes Mansion's large sprawling garden. It was made to mirror one of the gardens in the Reyes home in Spain. It had been reproduced with local vegetation and had some local designs integrated into it's layout.

"How are you feeling?" Adrianna asked Ayanna.

"Overwhelmed, somewhat sad, but this is my life, I should have expected that things wouldn't go perfectly." Ayanna said with a shrug.

"Are you mad at your brother?" Adrianna asked. Her first priority would always be Cedric.

"No, It's not his fault." Ayanna said with a shrug. "It's really none of their faults. It's just our lives are always more complicated than how people see us. They think all we do is shop and manage our companies, but we are so much more."

"I think you are talking about something more than just your wedding." A kind and familiar voice suddenly said from behind them.

Adrianna turned to see her mother-in-law, Priscilla, smiling at them.

"It's the critics mom." Ayanna confessed with a sigh. "Why can't they understand that we are just human." Ayanna said as Priscilla took a seat in between them.

"It's because they are jealous of you Ayanna." Priscilla said as she hugged both Ayanna and Adrianna.

"We have to be strong and we have to support each other." Priscilla told them.

They sat there for a while, watching the birds land and fly on the flowers in the garden. It was a rare moment of peace for all of them.
