Never Judge

Chapter 443 - 443

Eventually Alexi had to break off the kiss, Jen wouldn't let him go at first but he insisted.

"Jen, it's my friend's wedding. We can't be making out in a hallway while the reception is going on." Alexi said with a hiss. He wasn't happy about his situation.

"I just really need you Alexi." Jen said as she began to cry again.

"Jen, you know I don't like people being clingy like this." Alexi couldn't keep it in anymore. Even back when he was still in love with Jen and blind to her wrong doings he would never let her act this way and Jen knew that.

"But Alexi, we're going to be married, can't I at least have this benefit?" Jen said as she looked up at him.

Alexi wanted to push her aside and walk out, but he didn't want to risk her questioning his cold attitude towards her again. It was just too risky to have her doubt his fake love for her, he just had to suck it up and pretend to still love her.

"Jen baby, I know you want that, and maybe someday, but not now." Alexi said as he planted a chaste kiss on her lips. "Can we please go back to the reception now?" Alexi asked.

"Will you sleep with me tonight?" Jen asked. It had been over a week since they last slept together. Alexi knew that Jen was getting suspicious, he had been using work and his family as a constant excuse for their lack of intimacy.

"Sure baby." Alexi said as he kissed her again. He was planning on asking his father to pretend that they had urgent family business tonight so that Jen wouldn't insist.

"Okay. Let's go back." Jen said as she interlocked their fingers and pulled him towards the grand ballroom of Constellations Hotel.

Just as they walked down the hall Alexi had an odd feeling in his gut and stopped.

"Alexi, what's wrong?" Jen asked as she threw him a questioning look.

Alexi turned, he felt as if he was being watched, something was not right. He didn't know if it was his paranoia because of Jen or if his concerns were truly valid.

"Alexi?" Jen called out again as Alexi continued to scan their surroundings. He noticed that Jen looked worried as he observed the hallway.

"One moment, baby." Alexi said with a weak smile as he took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Something is off, I feel watched." Alexi said over the phone. "Send a group to sweep all the hallways and the vicinity. There are too many important people in the grand ballroom right now to risk it." Alexi ordered in an intimidating tone. He had called his father's head of security.

"Sir, the area was swept before your arrival, we also had roving guards. I doubt anyone unwanted could have snuck in." The head of security said.

"Search the area again." Alexi instructed. The head of security could do nothing, his boss' son had given instructions, so he had the whole hotel checked once again.

"What was that?" Jen asked. "You scared me."

"I felt like something was off in the hallway." Alexi admitted. He was hoping that he was wrong, and if he were right he was hoping that it could be someone or something that could lead them to the people Jen was working with. He wanted to end this charade he was putting up.

"I'm sure it's nothing." Jen said as she squeezed his hand. "You guys have such tight security today that I doubt someone could have come in without your permission."

"I hope so." Alexi said with a nod as they finally reached the doors of the grand ballroom. Again he felt the odd feeling from earlier in the hallway, he decided to ignore it this time since his security team was already sweeping the area.

"Alexi." Jen suddenly said as she stopped in her tracks. "Alexi, I love you and I will keep fighting for you. I know your family and friends both don't like me and I don't know why, but I will keep fighting to be with you, because I love you and you are my future." Jen said as she looked up at him and kissed Alexi on the cheek.

Alexi was puzzled by her public confession. There were several people in the hallway as well who had definitely overheard her confession.

"I'm a lucky man." Alexi said as he smiled back at Jen. He didn't have it in him to reciprocate such a public confession. Just being with her now was already eating him up from inside.

"So unromantic." A woman nearby scoffed. Alexi turned to see a familiar figure. He couldn't remember her name but he was sure she was one of the socialites that he had slept with in the past.

"Do you have a problem with my relationship, miss?" Alexi asked.

"Ha! You don't even remember my name, do you?" The woman asked as she walked over with a glass of wine.

"I know I spent a few nights with you. But you are right, I don't know your name." Alexi said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"He will leave you, just as he left all of us. To him women are just tools for his pleasure." The woman said as she looked at Jen. "You're not even that hot."

"You are not allowed to disrespect her." Alexi said angrily. He didn't like Jen anymore but he wasn't going to let some woman he slept with a long time ago mess with a woman he was with publicly. It  was like she was looking down on him as well, and he could not allow that.

"You don't control me and I don't fear your family." The woman answered back.

Alexi grinned, if intimidating her wouldn't work, maybe something else would. "You weren't even that good. I can't even remember the night I spent with you. Was it one night or multiple nights?" Alexi asked with a malicious smile.

"You are disgusting." The woman said as she threw the contents of her glass on Alexi.

By some odd twist of faith, Selina just so happened to be passing by and the wine was thrown on her instead.

"Selina!" Alexi said with a look of worry on his face.

"What the-?" Selina asked in surprise as she was now dripping in wine.

"She isn't involved in this fight." Alexi hissed at the woman as he walked over and slapped her. No one dared move or intervened, everyone was too afraid of Alexi, the anger was evident in his eyes.

A member of his security team soon approached.

"Throw her out of Constellations. If the Reyeses ask why, tell them it was under my orders. They will understand." Alexi instructed. His guard simply nodded and led the woman out of the hotel.

"Jen, go back inside. You'll be safe there." Alexi said in as warm a tone as possible as he could.

"Why don't you accompany me?" Jen asked.

"Miss Ramirez is drenched in wine because of us. Do you want me to send the wrong message that we are inconsiderate and would just leave someone behind like this?" Alexi asked Jen angrily.

"Fine." Jen said, clearly unhappy about the arrangement. "Do you need me to tell the others? Maybe Ram or her brother, Helios, can accompany the two of you." Jen asked.

"Do you doubt me? Are you questioning my loyalty now?" Alexi asked, his temper was already building up.

"No. I'll just go." Jen said as she walked away.
